  1. i think the RC unit with two extra accus should nearly have the same performance .it needs only much more space
  2. sure, i can actuate the lipos from lego with a rc servo to get a semi proportionayl steering, and i can use a rc servo to actuate direction reversers to power the the rc motors, but this space is not available in the boss. at an another way the baja boss works completely with lego, but then i have to run beside the car, and this is not possible with my damaged legs.
  3. oh it is a little guy and it is the son of the neighbours
  4. yaeh, but the accupack, which i have used, is very fast empty
  5. i like the simplicity of the chassis, good work
  6. i use this since my mercedes G hm, i think the turning circle is good enough
  7. a short 2,4ghz RC test with 9,6V. there is no steering servo in the chassis at this time
  8. you dont have the lego digital designer?
  9. wedding the rear axle with the back
  10. smaller tires + less suspension travel = lower look
  11. baja setup means = front suspension independent, rear axle is a solid one and this i will have. the goal was not a high ground clearance, but a much lower look of the boss.
  12. the second picture shows the axle from the side which will later be hidden from the body, the first one is from the underside and yes, the driveshaft is powering the fake V8
  13. the rear axle for my modified boss is finished. i use a 2 to one reduction of the faster output.
  14. the portal hubs or do you mean something different? edit: i have made a small lxf for the suspension. use one or two white rubber belts according the weight of the ripsaw
  15. look in the flickr folder behind the picture. there is all i have from this chassis.
  16. i can use two battery boxes with one receiver and i have no loss through the receivers
  17. sure, but at this way iam more flexible when there are more curcuits btw, a short vid
  18. with this 100_0499 von efferman auf Flickr
  19. ok, i have tested a different setup with my servoswitch system now it works, but it is to fast for the ir remote so i have made the decissicion to use PF-L motors for the Boss. this will me give more room for a stable frame
  20. it is a V2 with two 50cm extension cables, because i dont know where my short ones are.
  21. yes, that is a big advantage of the battbox. unfortunately it doesnt deliver enough current. which battery setup do you use when u use two buggy motors?
  22. iam very happy that i have built a test chassis before i going to build the boss rear axle. one battery box or receiver seems not enough for a speed setup. after two meters of driving the overload protection cuts the curcuit i think i have to think about the gear reduction
