  1. I gotta tell you: 42082 is ENORMOUS
  2. No new parts except for the pneumatic switches in 42080
  3. Oh in this case it was Lego’s packaging to blame and because of the weight of 42082 this box also was slightly misformed...
  4. Mine just came in. 42081 had a pierced box from the bucket :p
  5. Well deadline for reviews is still Aug 1st which is cool. I will need that for writing anyway. To me it is not about being the first, but about writing a thorough review. Probably will do 42082 first tho’.
  6. So when the set was on the table in my living room it worked like a charm. I moved it to my bedroom and all of a sudden there is an issue with the upwards ramp. At first the chain started to make a rattling sound and alhough I had counted the pieces of the chainlink, I could easily remove one piece. The noise stopped but I also noticed that the track pieces have less clutch power than regular pieces. Whenever I press one of the pieces into place, tension causes other pieces to let go. I went through the instructions to see if I had a plate too much or too little, but all seems okay. Then the rattling noise occured again and I could easily remove yet another track piece. Do these chainlink pieces become looser in time? And does it go THAT quickly? Anyone else having problems with the track pieces, even causing the carts to derail?

SB00201 TS-PROJECT (MOC Tie Silencer UCS)

Do more people have that the sticker on the plaque kinda curls up near the edges?

    [MOC] UT-60D U-Wing - SB00101 UCS

I just finished building it and here are my thoughts: - it is reallt really impressive and huge with some interesting building techniques - the different angles of the fuselage are amazing and so is the technique used for the sliding doors - the engines, that use about 1/3 of all the pieces are my favorite part, amazing cylinder shape and very impressive i would highly recommend getting it and Mirko put a lot of thought and care into it. A few parts could use some improvement, mainly because they are a bit flimsy: the doors, seats and landing gear fall off quite easily. Also, it is quite hard putting the sides into place, because of 7 hinges that need to click in sync. I spent about €500 for all new parts, shipping included. It does help Lego has started to produce the 6 x 8 Technic frames in white again (these are in the Taj Mahal 10256).

    [MOC] UT-60D U-Wing - SB00101 UCS

grr I have ordered all pieces, but my biggest 2000 piece order was sent back by Dutch mail to the seller. No idea why! When will you update this list of pilots Mirko?

    [MOC] UT-60D U-Wing - SB00101 UCS

So could someone tell me what are the rarest or most expensive parts? What boat weights are used? A list of all parts would really be welcome. It does not spoil anything or harms the effort of the designer, but it gives me an idea what to expect...
  11. Do I also see a new brown 7L axle with stop in 42080? Portruding from the new valve...
  12. After a few years of being stored and separated in a box in the basement I decided to rebuild my B-Wing, but as gorgeous as the model looks, it is very very fragile. Hopefully it is not because bricks lost clutch power, but things kept falling off. Then I see this YouTube video where this guy proclaims it is very sturdy and moves the smaller wings without any problems... Main issue is the fact that the big wing that is perpendicular to the 'body' of the vessel is very heavy. It is only secured to the body with Technic pins and two dark grey axles. Because of this weight, bricks stacked on both the body and the wing (like the 2x3 black bricks and the dark grey Bricks, Modified 2 x 2 x 2/3 Two Studs, Curved Slope End) do not stay in place well. This also goes for the curved shell pieces at the base of the long wing. Things get even worse because of the smaller wings attached to the already fragile base of the long wings and the fact these small wings are merely attached to the large wing with 6 hinge plates on each side that put even more (pulling) force on the large wing and its base. And then there is the cock-pit part with the 8-sided engine-type thingy at the end that is only attached with a round 4 stud brick. So is it just me, is it loss of clutch power or just a matter of really good design aesthetically but a bad design construction wise.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

funny that most people who don't believe MS is part of the series are the ones who don't own it. I agree it is the least attractive of the bunch, but it has been shown in official pictures in the instructions and it was designed AND release to fit next to CC.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

So is it true Jamie is now lead designer of architecture? So the chances are pretty high he did not design this modular then even though the line is his biggest accomplishment.
