Book III - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TheLordOfBricks replied to Henjin_Quilones's topic in Guilds of Historica
Welcome! Also everyone, I got him to come over here, also got him to join Avalonia. ;) -
Really nice one Henjin! I really like those cutouts, especially the water one. :) As I've said on Flickr, great colors here and an awesome sense of business without it being too much. :) That fence has to be my favorite detail though. Also, thanks for the shout out!

Another FB with no story, I am super rushed with the Summer Joust, so I have no time to write a story, anyways, I will have another build up tomorrow hopefully... :) I'll start with my storyline when Book III is realeased. :) This is my second Summer Joust entry, part of the team collaboration category, this is the second part of a four part collab, between Hildigrim Took, Mountain Hobbit, Jako Of Nerogue's and I. Hildigrim's the Wheat Farmer's house, mine is the Windmill where the wheat is processed, Jako's is the bakery where the wheat is made into goods, and Jake's is the market where the goods are sold in the wheat of Wefyrf. As I said, I have been building this over the past two months and I am pretty happy with the end result. :) The end size is 51 x 76 half irregular base. I tried as best I could to match their other styles. To my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ be the Glory! :D

Oh yes! Great work Henjin! My personal favorite 48 x 48 entry of the contest, the colors and shaping are so nice and I now noticed the village below the castle, which I haven't seen before... Keep it up! :)

Thanks! Much appreciated! Thanks SK! The garden was actually just a thrown together space where I didn't have enough green! Glad it turned out well. :) Thanks Titus! Yeah, I can see what you're saying, there is a lot of texture and it may be a little too much... Glad you like the tudor, and I know about the vertical beams, I was running out of pieces, because I was also building Goblin Town at the time and I was using most of brown tiles for scaffolding... Thanks again! Thank you! :) Thanks! Yeah, I am not actually very pleased with the pic, as the gradient I used got choppy as you said... I think from now on I will do a one color background if I don't just fade the lines of the white posterboards I use... Thanks again!

Book III - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TheLordOfBricks replied to soccerkid6's topic in Guilds of Historica
Mitgardia is off to a strong start! Looking good guys! -
Yeah, I am really enjoying this surge of activity, although I wasn't here during the silence, I still watched the guilds from afar and got a little bored with nothing there. Now it seems that the Historic Themes part of the Forum is the inactive one, and this is active. Yeah, I normally check in every 1.5-2 hours, and I am surprised by the amount of activity!

Aha, the third sibling has arrived! :D Now which guild will you choose? ;) Welcome! :)

Book III - Varlyrio: Guild sign-up and Discussion
TheLordOfBricks replied to Rogue Angel's topic in Guilds of Historica
Agreed, Varlyrio is pretty cool. I may have to have my character visit if I have extra time. Hmmm, that's a quick change of thought. ;) Turmoil is chaotic, civil is peaceful. :P -
Ahhh, yes. As I have said before, really well done. :)

Oh yes, this is great ZG! The lime and yellowish green contrast so well with the path, and that blue door adds just the right amount of color pop. :) The stone wall is definitely a nice detail as well. :) Keep it up!

Nice work! Very Avalonian. :)
-
Ahhh, yes! Very nice! Great colors and texturing here! :)
-
Oh yes! This is wonderful! Awesome to see an great early Varlyrian build! As you said, the blue building is a little plain, but I still really like it's roof. :) Overall, looks a lot like Jonas's Venice style, but also your own input and style in it as well! Love that little pretzel sign too. :)

Nice job! Good intro! A fun story start and I am exited to see where this goes! As for the build, it has a good amount of business, and the rocks are nice as well. I wish the grassy areas had a little more slope and texturing to them, but a minor thing. Welcome to the guilds! I just joined as well. ;)

Impressive! I second what HQ said. :)
