The shape of this is already looking nice, very smooth. Look forward to seeing this progress.

Damn beat me to it making this mock, very nice indeed. Great to see you've used the best quality endor rebels. I'm currently trying to build up a squad of them myself for a similar moc.
-
Some very nice detail going on here, always found those things creepy.

This scene doesn't get enough MOCs made of it, good to see one made. Very nice job.

I know he probably wouldn't wear armour while doing this job, but I like the use of the mucky uniform. I believe he says he worked in sanitation, which could end up being a messy job, so it fits in nicely. A neat little MOC indeed.

"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
Ed9217 replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've Been thinking about getting some imperial battle packs, As I need some stormtroopers to use as blaster fodder. After to seeing this I'm half tempted to try this teqnique out, even though the battle damage looks good, having a lot of troopers with identical damage looks odd. So I imagine a lot of people will be doing this. Thank you for sharing/using one of your figures as a guinea pig. -
This is looking set to be one gorgeous ship, I look forward to seeing the finished MOC

It's funny people seem to be split on this subject. Either they love the figures and are meh about the veichles or love the veichles and are meh about the figures. I myself am leaning towards liking the figures most, although only just as the veighles do look very nice.

I fear for my wallet once these sets are released, those rebel figures are to die for. Finally new aliance figures and new helmet designs. Don't think I've ever been this exited for new sets. As you can tell I'm more of a rebel alliance fan than of the empire, so these sets are something special. Plus I can have a few new imp figures to use as blaster fodder
-
Looking back I believe they did, here's hoping they do it justice and have it in the biggest set, so we can have more detail for the ship. Alas it will probebly not be, however if that is so, it will hopefully be as good as the resistance transporter set we got at the start of the year.
-
I've read this quite a few places, and I really hope it's true. It's the one thing the rebel aliance lacks. A decent drobship/troop carrier. Pretty much all major forces in every film have one. It would be an excellent addition to the new Lego sets. My rebel forces may soon finaly have a way to be transported to the front!
-
Oh wouldn't you like to know imperial! Haha
-
Personally I'm hoping we get at least one new rebel trooper figure in the sets, idealy a new rebel fleet trooper or something similar. Don't get me wrong I like stormtroopers, but I find the rebels more intesting/underrated. Already started saving for the rogue one sets, lot of hype for these it seems. Can't wait for more info on the sets.

I always wished they'd made this ship into a set, and made it full crome. It would be a thing of beauty. Also I love episode one as well as being a fan of the prequels, I hope in the future they will bring out more prequel sets and this to be one of them. I'm currently working on a gian speeder used by the naboo security forces, there are some interesting veichles to work with in TPM.

[MOC] WIP ~20,000 piece Battle at Helm's Deep
Ed9217 replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Good lord that's an impressive Uruk hai army, as has been mentioned the only thing that could make it better would be the addition of long black pikes rather than the halberd. I use a black Spear attached to a black bar with a technic pin for my uruks. Gives length and accuracy to the pike. Although that's a lot of pikes to produce for such a vast army. Look forward to seeing this as it progresses.- 20 replies

Excellent work on the interiors here, especially like the bunk beds and the sleeping quarter.

Nice work, very clean and precise yet Still has the medeval feel going for it, good work. I especially like how the chimney stack cuts through the roof.

[MOC] Lord of the Rings- Aragorn "I Swore to Protect You"
Ed9217 replied to samiam391's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Very nice work capturing this scene. That's also a nice rabble of uruks you have there. I have to agree, the olive would work better for the grass. I've never liked the fact that the standard plants/foliage Lego produces, is made using the bright green.- 14 replies

A pelanor fields/Minas Tirith battle pack would have been nice to get. Maybe one with 3 orcs and 1 easterling. Then a gondor battle pack of sorts. I'm currently having to make up my gondor army using the heroic night figure with a different helmet and shield. The one figure I would want the most though is an easterling, as I'm also currently trying to make one using only official Lego parts. It can be done but its expensive. I suppose us fans of Lego LOTR will have to make do with using the old sets and making custom figures, however For me I suppose that is the challenge and fun of Lego.

Excellent work, love the detail. Always liked this scene.

This looks brilliant, would love to see this in the resistance colours (ie white/grey and blue, like the x wings and troop transporter) good job.

What you think of the Star Wars EP VII Sets after watching the movie..
Ed9217 replied to Darth Dino's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The model from the resistance battle pack is based on the gian 211 speeder, there's a photo of it in the new visual dictionary. The only difference is it doesn't have a turret on the back, the twin front blaster are accurate though. -
After seeing this id be tempted to get that set and mod it, this looks a lot better for it.
-
Correct, this seems to be a smaller version of one of those, they seemed to be much bigger and with heavier weapons. It seems the resistance will use anything due to lack of veichles, even utilising an obsolete yet still functioning craft such as the 211
-
A work in progress of the resistance speeder, I hope to do a more detailed version once more photos of this craft come out. I think it may be slightly big, however there are no photos with anybody inside the craft to compare with. Quite happy with how it's come out so far Photo of the actual speeder Happy for any critique
