  1. I think the BWE is a better option of you want to build it once and then use the parts to build other models or mocs for example. You will get a lot of useful parts for a relatively low price, especially compared to the Porsche. It seem to be a very educational and interesting build, so if you haven't been building modern Technic in a while you will probably learn a lot by building the BWE. If you usually build your models once and keep them assembled as display models, the Porsche might be a better option though. It looks very good, much better than the BWE. It should be a very interesting build too.
  2. I usually don't watch speed build videos for sets I'm going to buy, because i don't want to spoil the building process. I'm still pretty sure the Xerion is the most interesting build this year, it seems to use interesting building techniques and mechanisms. I also agree with you that both the BWE and the Xerion seem to be more interesting builds than the Porsche.
  3. Yes prisjakt always saves my wallet. Strange that webhallen had the last years 2H sets available for preorder more than a month earlier. This year there is no sign of the new models so far.

  5. For some reason it has been almost impossible to get the sets earlier this year in Sweden. I ordered the Xerion from Eurotoys today, quite low price actually. Hopefully the BWE will be available to order from webhallen on Monday, they usually have quite low prices and very quick deliveries.

    Color Coding

I actually like the color vomit too, so we are two . Not because it makes the model easier to build, I think it's fun to challenge myself even when building official sets. I like how it looks and that it makes the chassis more exiting as you said. When I design my own models, I actually try to add a bit of color vomit so the chassis aren't plain grey or black.

    Color Coding

I haven't got any Technic sets since they introduced the colored axles. Do they still have the 1:1 box in the instructions to measure the axles? In that case I think that box is enough like it always has been.

    Color Coding

As bonox said, there are reasons for LEGO to have the color vomit. To be honest, that doesn't bother me much. It makes all mechanisms inside more visible than it would be if all parts were black for example. I don't really think it affects the look of the models negatively... well the BWE maybe looks a bit messy but otherwise I think its okay for as long as TLG doesn't stop making the traditional black and grey axles. The colored ones are great for certain details like on the Volvo and the BWE. But as I said earlier, I don't think it's completely necessary. Most kids that are within the recommended ages would manage to build the models perfectly even without color coding.

    Color Coding

Well, yes it had some color vomit to, but it has increased since then so it didn't have as much color vomit as the sets have now. I still think you would manage to build technic sets without color coding when you are 10 years old, at least if you aren't completely new to LEGO. And the technic sets meant for kids younger than 10 years old, include very few parts and wouldn't need color coding either.

    Color Coding

I think it's a bit odd that they think they need to color code everything for sets like the BWE, where the recommended ages are 11-16 and even 16+ if you look at the Porsche. If you are 10+ you won't have any problems building or finding the pieces, I built the 8043 when I was 10 years old for example. I didn't have any problems with finding the right axles or connectors.
  11. Okay.. I didn't know that. Thank you for replying :)
  12. Are you sure? Thought LEGO didn't make V1 anymore. I ordered a replacement for my V1 about a year ago and got a V2.
  13. Yes, all new IR Receivers are V2
  14. Okay, I will check some local stores here in Sweden as well.
  15. Hi! This is my first (maybe second) post on this forum, but I've been following it for quite a long time now. I started building with Lego Technic about five years ago and now I would like to share with you the video of my latest creation which is this Motorized Bus. This model features: Drive, powered by two L-motors Steering, powered by a Servo Motor Opening front and back doors powered by two M-motors It also has a very detailed fake V6 engine in the back. I started building this model about a year ago. My spare time is rather limited since I'm a student, and I've been working on other projects as well, but there's still a lot of work behind this creation. The doors were the most challenging things to build and it took a very long time to get them right, I've rebuilt that mechanism at least five times. It was also very hard to make a mechanism that would fit under the roof of the bus and not be visible through the windows. Well, now it's finally finished and I'm quite happy with the end result so I hope you like it too and enjoy watching my video!
  16. Thank you Jim! It's as I wanted it now :)
  17. This was the original topic: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=123535&st=25#entry2603973 I just wanted to make it clear in the topic name that the instructions are created. /HallBricks
  18. I totally agree that the quality looks weird but I think it's good enough to follow the instructions. I don't think I'll improve them now, but I'll do it differently next time. I found that the layout changed the first time I changed the DPI, it was a real pain going through all pages again correcting errors. And then it changed again :( Thank you for all your help with this project. Also the edge lines around boxes, parts lists for example, got really weird when compressing. I don't know why and recompressed with different settings multiple times without achieving better results.
  19. I had to compress the PDF since it was way too big. The size was over 300 MB. I used Acrobat, but I should probably have done it in another way. I still have the original file, do you have any suggestions of how to do it better?
  20. Yes that's right :) I'm happy you liked it!
  21. Hi everyone! I decided to create a new topic to make it more clear, since I realized I wasn't able to rename a topic. I have now, finally, finished the work with the instructions for my bus. It took ages to make them, and I had several problems with the different softwares the unfortunately led to that the result was not perfect, but it's totally usable. I apologize for the errors. The project is on rebrickable so please visit the link if you are interested, and I appreciate if you give it a like if you enjoy it. http://rebrickable.com/mocs/HallBricks/motorized-bus Thank you! /HallBricks
  22. Finally the instructions have been finished, I feels like it has taken ages and I have had a couple of different problems with LPub. Unfortunately that led to that the look isn't always perfect but there should be no problems to follow the instructions. I hope for a macOS version of LPub 3D until next time. The project is now also on rebrickable.com so please visit my page there and also leave a like if you like my model. http://rebrickable.com/mocs/HallBricks/motorized-bus /HallBricks
  23. I haven't tried the new update for Windows yet, I'll do that next time. A macOS version of LPub 3D would be great, there are just too many bugs and other things that could be improved in LPub 4.
  24. Hi again! This is probably my last question about LPub for this time since I'm now trying to add a BOM on the last page. The problem is that it appears as a very wide but not high box, and a very little part of it is on the actual page. When dragging in the square to resize it, it just goes back to the same shape again. Isn't it possible to change the size or am I doing it wrong? /HallBricks
