As HQ said, used normal red is audacious but it worked pretty well! IMHO, moving the smaller ones of the wooden columns one stud more to the window (splitting the plastered sections evenly in 3-3 at each side) would create less of a 'big one-coloured area' and improve the build just a bit more, but even like this I'm a fan for sure (you know, tudor sections are ALWAYS cool) The roof is nice as well, and I really like to see a wooden hoist there on the right, a very common detail in most medieval houses! (also, I have to admit I really laughed with the orcish twins, they're so cute can I hope to see them return in some other builds? )

Some really good WIPs here, I love both the dome and the shipyard -

Said the boy who pumps out three MOCs a week --- Looking forward to seeing all these challenge entries! -
You should build more Avalonian builds, because if they're all as good as this one... The colourscheme is absolutely lovely You've used some excellent techniques as well, for example the roof, the water (though I have to say there's a very straight corner between light and dark blue in the first pic, on the leftern side of the stream) and the stone base as well

AoM: Farm Phase 2: Strongarm's Homestead Produce Garden
TitusV replied to Bracari's topic in Guilds of Historica
The build has increased a lot indeed! I also like the colourscheme, though as a bit of nitpicking I think not mixing reddish brown and dark tan for the pathway may enhance it even further. Furthermore, a very nice collection of brickbuilt crops and good use of these old SW torsos! -
Three hurrays for the full interiors! Good to see their return, as well as that of your Dwarven styled builds. These corners are lovely

A bit sad, but so beatiful A pity I can't admire the colours of your creation, though the presentation is top notch for sure Overall, a very strong entry (easy to say when its the first, but I mean it!)

Looking great @The Stad, I like those SNOTted slopes! -
Oops... Now I'm embarrassed... Please tell the dragon of my apologies, I don't wanna be eaten/burnt alive I fear the one right in the front tends to be the one people notice the most easily

Almost seems like its my birthday now I didn't dare to create a topic for it, as it's a pretty heavy file and I'm not sure whether it was within my power to do so, but if you like it maybe the leadership can add the link to some of the important threads? So newbies can find it Aye, we have big shoes to fill... Its good to be able to talk with someone who knows the pain of digging through the forum! I'm sorry I beat you though

Hear ye, hear ye! Or better said: read ye, read ye! As preparation on a never-finished entry for the lore challenge, I was strolling around the subforum when it dawned to me that all official tales are fragmented, dusty and even semi-forgotten in locked topics which never got pinned or in long since outdated master indices. This felt like a real pity to me, because there's more than six years of collective storybuilding and even better Lego building lost 'out there'. (forgive me if I'm being a bit dramatic, I'm just super glad I'm finally done with this ) But fear no longer! If you've ever wanted to read up on ALL (or at least almost all, if you think I've forgotten something please tell me!) Guildish history, be happy! I've you ever wanted not having to follow a thousand links or hating the search engine when looking for a certain challenge, be happy! If you've never wanted any of these things, be happy as well! So, here it is. 203 pages of official Guilds of Historica lore, I hope you enjoy!

She's looking mighty for sure! Again, I'm not completely sold on the base (some very straight borders between olive green and tan, a bit more texturing wouldn't hurt IMHO), but as the focus lays on the dragon that's no real problem. I like the pearl golden accents, and the feathers are a sweet variation as well

Book III - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Welcome to the coolest guild, Wineyard! Amazing sigfig and intro build, with these roof support deserving some extra attention for sure -
I thank you even more for it! On the other hand, I used fleshies as well, so maybe we're in balance?
-
Aye, I get that you wanted to represent waves, but I still feel like the division between foam and water is too 'clean', an almost straight line. Maybe mixing them up would add some extra effect?

Introduction: Anuar of Peregrinus - also, where's Erudhalion/Erland?

Hmmm, I see. Breaking up brown walls is indeed a necessary thing to do, but maybe continueing the 1x1 round pillars would have satisfied? Or some other, minor detailinig? -

I was already wondering what you were wainting on... Welcome back, @Faladrin!!! Also, do I spot one of your famous apples over there? -
I'm a fan too! It's not like some dark wizard ripped a whole guild off and made it dissappear under the sea level, right?

Its simple, its good, its perfect! The floor pattern defenitely works out, and as dG pointed out that little piece of cloth/superhero material is a great detail -
City of Zamorah - The hidden city (Avalonia)
TitusV replied to Zilmrud's topic in Guilds of Historica
A really cool micro build, I've spotted some great NPU there (for example, that bridge...) The story is even cooler, especially since you've added some sweet builds along the way (even though I'm no big fan of edited pictures, the man looking to the moiuntain range looks awesome ) -
I can understand you favour for Kijani, but this one's still a beauty for sure! Dark blue is such a lovely colour for a dragon... One of the biggest differences is the base, IMHO. I'm not completely sold on the water technique, and the sand isn't as cool as in your previous build. That being said, I still really like your dragons, may I hope to see some more of them?

Still a lot to complete, but you're off to a good start it seems! Some nice figs (I really had to laugh with their names, by the way), and an even nicer city Keep bricking! -

TitusV replied to Gabe's topic in Guilds of Historica
Great to have you back Gabe, especially with two wonderful intro builds! Dark red and medium blue is a lovely combination, especially with the golden details all around - they make for a very Kaliphlinite feeling! As I've said in the intro thread as well, that window is just gorgeous The second build, being completely different, looks great as well. Though I'm not completely sold on the tower's horns, the excellent house makes up for that! Especially the long and low roof is stealing my attention, nice job! -

Looking amazing @soccerkid6 I wished I was building myself, as I have spend the last week washing and sorting this old bulk. Not a very pleasant job, but I wanted it done before starting properly on Book III...
