Love threads like this. Great detailed photos but IT just makes me sad I missed out on GG. I'm not paying £600 from secondhand sellers and don't want to brick link it because I'm one of those weird people who love the physical box, bags and instructions that only come from a genuine set. It would be great if they released a collector reissue set or something of this with a slight difference - so that original owners would stil feel happy about owning the original but I doubt they will

40107 Ice Skating (2014 Holiday Set #2)
Big-whoop-Guybrush replied to ritzcrackerman's topic in LEGO Town
Nope nothing's been shown or leaked. They're being very secretive ! I'm in the same boat as you tho. If it's naff I'll get a set this month to benefit from double points so the sooner it's shown the better -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Someone mentioned having a basement to hold all police records etc but said it might be difficult to do this. Did the pet shop have a basement. They could do something like that ? -

I know this is getting silly but I just picked up the catalogue and it shows off only the PS, PR and PC which is fair enough but next to both PS and PC it has the normal hard to find logo but it also has the limited quantity logo. No suprise for PS but I was suprised to see it next to PC. -
Yes according to the American catalogue. It'll be out at the end of November up to December 1st. There aren't any images but according to a vip leaflet sent out to customers in America it will be an ice skating scene
-
I think he means does anyone have a picture of santas workshop built with the toy workshop attached to it. I will eventually as I'll not be building it until December - I got two toy workshops tho as I wanted it to be double the length So that it can contain the elves toy belt machine in there

I just don't want to have to pay over rrp in the reselling market. I'm lucky I have a lego shop within 10 mins drive and a birthday which allowed me to get the GE and spare money to get both TH and PS using vip points etc. When I was in last the guy serving me said that any of those three (PS,GE, TH) could go as they've been around for a while. Fair enough he's just speculating but next year they have bionicle, new elves line, amongst other things so those shelves will need to be organised carefully. There's hardly any duplicated sets in there so if they can use the space that a big set like the GE takes up to display a few bionicle sets - the likelihood of at least one going to me increases. -

I didn't realise the 2nd exclusive holiday set for november was only available 28th November- 1st December. If it's only going to be an ice skating scene I may get the PS now and Miss this set out. At least I'll get another workshop plus double points and the way that the PS keeps on going out of stock makes me worry that if I wait till the end of November I'll not be able to get it. -

Not only is the TH out of stock but the GE is out of stock now as well. The PS is still out of stock. I just picked up the TH tonight at my local lego shop so I just need to get the PS next month to get the november winter exclusive and I'll be happy -

I was going to say the new catalogue may show some clues and tbh the fact that it's showing ps and not th kind of worries me However ps is again out of stock on the UK store with an expected shipping date of oct 28th. I think these are most likely as a result of double vip points -

I'm busy building my GE at the moment and I'm curious how everyone prepares to build. Do you tip all parts out on a flat surface and then just get building. Or do you organise your pieces into colours/ styles etc? I feel that I spend most of my time looking all around for a single piece I need before moving on ! -
Unfortunately I now want this set ! It looks great. I think though it'll have to wait for me to pick up the modulars that are all looking likely to be retired soon

Suggestion on first modular building to buy and build?
Big-whoop-Guybrush replied to BirdOPrey5's topic in LEGO Town
It's funny how things go out of stock so much on the U.S. site. Everytime the GE,TH or PS are mentioned I check on the UK site (where I would order from ) and they're always in stock. I'm in a similar position to the otiginal poster as I've been waiting to buy my first modular. I picked up the GE from my local lego shop on October 1st and I'm waiting till November to get the PS. I would be very suprised if they retired the TH yet. Although it's the most expensive i doubt they'd retire it until end of 2015 -

I'm a big apple fan but yeah I wouldn't pick up the apple modular. To me it's pretty plain in comparison to all the other modulars and yep I bet the name apple is what got it to 10000 supporters
