  1. With the project on built at the moment, I've been using one of the older 9V cables to connect 2 extensions cable running from the switch to the Servo- motor in my build, with that set up I can control the Servo-motor either with PF IR Remote, or by using the switch itself. It does need 2 extension wires + 1 9V cable at one line, but it does works just fine. Just attached a quick sketch
  2. So this will be my second topic on eb beside my 42043-C Zetros topic. This time it will be a D-model for 42043 Arcos set, and like the C.model I will continue the Mercedes Benz theme. The D-model will be an Unimog U4000 only build with parts from the 42043 set. facts: Mercedes Benz Unimog U4000 (4x4) 4 Inline engine Lenght: 5410 mm wide: 2336 mm Height: 2612 mm tyre size: 335/80 R 20 so if the model should be in a perfect scale of the IRL unimog, it would be a 1:16 build acording to the 62.4/20S lego tyres, because those are the one we have in the 42043 set. that means the 42043-D Unimog U4000 will be Lenght: 34 Studs (+-) Wide: 19 Studs (+-) Height: 20 Studs (+-) Pictures of my "don't think or calculate, just build" progress below Update will come....
  3. Well..... been long since last post ...... but by now I'm at my final stages at school.....so this month I found the 42043-Unimog again.... got a lot of dust since last time .. haha .... I kinda rebuild the whole chassis, to make the 4x4 work proper, stronger and with front diff. but that meant less room for other functions ....... Well, the cab, Front and bonnet is the same, as I really liked that part .... :D ... Only 1 note for the 4x4 build...... I wasn't easy to build the 4x4 with that few U/CV joints in the 42043 set..... so for connecting the FWD, I simply had to add a CV/joint extra to the set .....
  4. I have 40K parts in sets, and about 1500 spare parts. so +- 41500 parts
  5. Hi everybody. last month I started a new project, while my 42043-C Unimog U4000 is on standby. I kinda like the Mercedes Benz team. so this one will be another Zetros. while my 42043-C Zetros was a C-model, this Zetros 3643 AS 6x6, will be way bigger, and not a C-model. Below is the blueprint I'm actually building from. been during a lot of research, blueprints and calculated a proper scale many times..... so by basing the scale on the wheels I figured out that a 1:12.5 scale would fit very well. I got some RC wheels 108mm, which kinda looks like the Zetros tires, but the Claas Tractor tires will fit the model very well too. Now let me show some pictures of my actual model so far. This one was my first atempt to build a proper fitting chassis for the Zetros But after a month with rebuilds and testing, I got to scrap that design, as the gearbox wasn't strong enough to power 3-4 kg of lego. also was the chassis a bit to flexible. so during january I ended up with this design: And by now I have finished most of the chassis, on moved on to the cab. As told it is the CrewCab model I'm building, mostly because it is the one I like most, and think it fits the size of the truck very well. By finishing the Chassis, it also means that bumbers and headlights are done. I'm not quite sure about the headlights yet, but it will work for now. The picture above, is the current prgress. More will follow. more pictures at: https://flic.kr/s/aHskRFHEQB
  6. So far i will mount a 5th wheel, for a lowbed trailer, maybe a tibber trailer later. But there's plenty of room, so a cargobox, flatbed, crane will be possible to build It is exactly the same video
  7. Well, I don't actually know if a 3643 CrewCab Tractor unit exists. But this one has been my main inspirations. But it is a 2933 but the idea of my zetros build, started after seeing this 3643 AS tractor truck in a YouTube video
  8. Nope, in the new there's no gearbox. The model are powered by 2 xl motors, 1 mounted on the front axle, and the second one mounted on the rear axles.... The old gearbox was geared really low, but could handle the Weight still, axle and gears got broken due the high torque. With the new chassis, it drives a little faster, but still have enough torque to handle to haul a big trailer
  9. Well, reading your comments made me really happy, Thnx guys, I'm really glad you like it so far. Newer seen the truck irl, while there is only 1 zetros in whole Denmark. So the build are only based on pictures and data, blueprint etc. I'm going to make instructions for it, but dono when. While I have 2 finish school also. I don't mind share my progress so far. Just need some more time.
  10. Hi! Today I finished the 3d model of 42043-C Zetros, so the complete instruction files is on the way! ..... This is my very first Moc that I have published, but the project isn't 100% finished yet. Got the 42043 Set last year, and then decided to rebuild it into an alternative build [C-Model] This is how the model looks like now, it needs a touch before it's done. The model is based on the real life Mercedes Benz Zetros. Technical detail will come as soon as possible, but here is some picture of it. Like the 42043-A this model has a pneumatic crane without the buckets. the crane is build with one pneumatic hose going through the turnable, It allows the crane for turning 4x360 degrees without damaging the hose. 4 valves is mounted at the back of superstructure for controlling the 3 pneumatic cylinders. Crane lifting capacitet: 200 grams of lego[full exspanded] Outriggers been rebuild too, because those on 42043-A had some issue under load. these ones are build like those on 8110, But also allows to fold the outrigger-leg upsite for better clearence. Outriggers arms is controlled independ [2 functions]because of the missing feature with tilting the Flatbed. Battery Box mounted at the back of the cab. with a openable cover. Steering is build like on 42043, and controlled by the 2 beacons. the cabin was hard to build with the few white parts in the 42043 set, but I think i maded i pretty good. UPDATE will come soon! Some facts Lenght: 64 studs ( 52 cm) Wide: 19 studs ( 15 cm) Hight: 26 studs ( 20 cm) [folded crane] Ground Clearence: 3 studs ( 2.4 cm) Weight: will come today Pieces in use: 2399 6x4 Full suspension on all axles Parts: 2300~2500 Openable doors and hood Foldable outriggers Single pneumatic hoses connection ( making the crane rotate 1020 degrees) 3 valve 1 input valve Crane lifting capacitet: 100~200 grams of lego Steering from the ledt beacon on the Roof Model is RC ready
  11. Hi! I got some problems with Lpub [Again] at first it loads the instruction just fine with no errors, but when I try to print it into PDF or trying to load more than 1 pages at the time, it is showing this message, https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream/ and then loading partlist and no steps/image on the page. https://www.flickr.c...op/27002238712/ And if I check the assembly file in LDview, it has no errors... but keep crashing in Lpub.... Anyone got an idea why this is happening? ... Complete assembly file with submodels: https://www.dropbox....z7uo88Wfaa?dl=0 I have no idea what causing this, so I asking you :D ...
  12. HI! . I'm sorry, but haven't got the time for it. have got a lot of schoolwork the past months. as soon as I get some time of, I will continue the build
  13. Cool... thnx.. I will take your idea in mind it looks pretty solid...
  14. Hi EB!. I need some inspiration for a live axle, which I'm gonna need in my 1:12 scale Zetros I want a compact, but strong front axle. Built as a live front axle. Features: lockable diff (pneumatic), servomotor in the axle, 2016 portal hubs, 17 studs wide, and really compact Springs and linkage points ain't important, kinda easy to make, but I really got some troubles making that kinda live axle.... Sorry no picture of my current progress, but I'm gonna post some of my ideas tomorrow.
  15. Want to use the rims from 8110 unimog, (can't remember the number) With some big custom crawler tires(1/9" 108mm)
  16. Great job! ... Looking forward to build it ... may I ask which 3D software did you use for instructions? .. looking really good
  17. Yeah... I will try calculate some at first.
  18. so now I'm working on a FWD Front axle for my Zetros ... and by then I'm also looking for some proper tyres ... : Tyre 81.6 x 38 R Balloon Tyre 68.7 x 34 R What size would fit best? ...
  19. Cool .. I will give it a try..
  20. tyres I got: 88: 62.4 x 20 S 8: 81.6 x 36 R 6: 68.7 x 34 R 16: 56 x 26 and then a bunch of unimog and crawler tyres .... but the seems to big, while i wonna keep the actual scale :D
  21. Been a while sine last post , but I been thinking about continue the build of the Zetros. ... maybe as a module build with different kind of accessories, I think it could be kinda fun to add a 4x4 chassis, 6x6 and so on... keeping the cab for now, maybe add or rebuilding some parts of it... But first i need some advices, any suggestions for bigger wheels that might fit, something much closer to the real one? .. .. And I'm still gonna finish my D-model, but because of my School it will tale some time
  22. I've been away a bit too, because of my school has started again..... updates on the U4000 Unimog will not be posted for a while...... but it is still [WIP] status..... and will be done during this yeah.... hopefully.... sounds good
  23. Sounds cool, might try it later. will se if I can manage to fix a front axle with diff. feel free to post
  24. Tires is not my favourite either... got a 5x7 frame in spare, so i will try making a front axle with diff. The suspension on the trailer is working really good, and those 3x5 H beams is great for suchs axles.
