    MOC Blue Pullman

Amazing detail, especially on the front, the undercarriage and door/coupling areas. Would love to know how to build those door handles?

Don't think I've seen what the tender looks like now?

Fantastic, love it all - the engine, the story and the layout!

MOC/MOD: ES co. Retro Steam Locomotive

I would keep the classic 4.5v motor casing at least so you can still use the old wheels, then all the additional PF stuff can be hidden. You could also swap out (yes they have screws!) the internal 4.5v motor for a 9v one.

    Fantastic, well deserved!

    MOC: WIP. A perfect 317.

Concrats Annie, the medium BBB wheels are great. What motor did you use in the end?

    Clone Brands Train discussions

Good to know considering how bad the Enlighten wheels are. Are all the Banbao wheels the same design or is there variety? The wheel holders you have on that coach are a different design to the Lego standard, are the wheels and holders interchangeable with the Lego ones?

Wow, amazing work ES. What's her speed like? How heavy is all the pneumatic stuff combined?

    Decoupler

I saw this very cute electromagnet on the ebay which I'm sure is useful for something like this or points possibly...http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-1A-4mm-Stroke-100gf-Force-Pull-Type-Solenoid-Electromagnet-/360535506955

    Decoupler

Don't forget to take a look at the only official Lego decoupler ever made for inspiration too - http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=7862-1 For this to work you needed the original '80s magnet holders with the long bit down one side (http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4023) but moreover the thing was unfortunately tricky to operate and unreliable.

    Custom LEGO track (not mine)

    Yes, that's it!

    Wacky and Weird Locomotive Challenge!

Well you can't really allow LDD and not allow clone bricks seeing as LDD contain virtual bricks ...lol From my experience all the black Enlighten bricks are fine excepting the wheels and the magnets which are bad quality, this actually includes some superior printed bricks and doors, etc..the others colours mostly seem a bit strange/ off Lego.

    Custom LEGO track (not mine)

I saw on a website somewhere (been trying for ages to find it again but now giving up) complete instructions for building garden railway concrete moulds and base segments (for O gauge I think) with metal track on top that could be easily adapted to L gauge 9v as the tracks were secured via the concrete. The beauty of it was that the concrete segments were very high and could be easily buried in your garden without the track shifting at all.

    TUTORIAL Custom power pickups

Will you consider selling just the insulators or insulators+wheels so people can just adapt the metal wheels without the pickup? As on your EN tender, you've replaced all the wheels but only half are pickup enabled. Wow, still I have some motors that I could fix, also not forgetting this would be an essential part for a future pickup brick!

    TUTORIAL Custom power pickups

Beautiful! I don't see the insulating bushing that fit's onto the axle on the Bricklink picture, I assume that's still included or is it a different/wider axle? And you've custom made 12v pickups?

    MOC: Custom building mechs.

Swapped out the picture of the tank wagon (and the one on 'Horse Scandal') as I've only got a camera phone at the moment and I can't get enough light on the layout. Also note I built these a while ago and bits have fallen off here and there, so this is the good side... Sounds cool jmchisel. Do you think you can get it to do the full work of a shunter yet? I have the http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=46220 gearbox where the worm is sealed, always get close to using it for something, haven't done yet though.

That's very encouraging! Is it the stuff from here, http://www.shop.osorail.com/category.sc?categoryId=206 then? They don't seem to have any pictures.

Wonderful creation and mechanism. Thanks for sharing the 'behind the scenes' footage.

    MOC: Custom building mechs.

OK, if you think. I would mess that up for sure at 1-2mm. The adapter at http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1001 is made of rubber and just seals itself onto the metal shaft. I'm running one of them off a 12v motor, they just don't shift at all once they're on.

Hmm, and then you'd need glue next to all that motor heat. The pololu rubber seals on the other hand just don't budge..
