Thank 'darkdragon' for this review, another fun and funky set......and not as <insert that tiresome argument> like the vehicles in the HQ set.

The 4x4 looks solid, plenty of accessories, but a dam DSS....though look at it this way....if you get bored with it - tear it down and build a construction truck instead !

Neat looking raptor.....oh, please Lego....don't tempt me into buy into a new theme !

I look forward to the next review in the Dino theme, again 'darkdragon' thank you.

Brick On while running from raptors !

Footnote - with this theme no one I believed have said about Terra Nova.

I thought so too, and that's why I ordered a really cool Bowie knife from Brick Warriors.

What I'm interested in is the various translations on the side of the box - the English name is Raptor Chase, as is the French (or 'Raptor Pursuit'), but it looks like the Spanish on the box reads 'The Persecution of the Raptor'. Are Spanish language speakers generally considered to be dinosaur sympathisers, or has my GCSE in Spanish 16 years ago failed me?

Overall, I found this set a great value. We get this super-cool new Raptor, two minifigures with great new prints, a tranquilizer gun, two lime green syringes, and a very play-with-it-rough truck. All for only $30!

I actually find it overpriced.

It sounds more like a 20 or 25 set to me.

Maybe I've been buying too many licensed sets lately that I think this is a decent price. The way I look at it is that the minifigure is nice, not plain, the truck is nice, and most of all the dino is great. I did say in my review that $25 would have been better.

Great review and many thanks for using the stickers.

Glad you enjoyed it. I only used the stickers because it was a review

There are a lot of stickers, especially when 5882 comes with a lovely printed piece, maybe that could have been extended to the other sets. The raptor is great and the jeep like all the vehicles in this theme very well designed and put together.

In many ways though it is all about the hunter in the fedora lol

Great review. I like the dinosaurs themselves, but the vehicles have a lot of stickers. Not a huge concern for me, but printed pieces are always better. I do like the new prints on the minifigures. The truck looks like a fun ride as well.

Keep up the good reviews.

dino sets are just great, they could easily blend in with the new 2012 city forest theme.

How would they exactly? I don't really see it...

Imagine this:

Lego forest police chased the robbers into a remote part of the forest where no one has ever been before. There the robbers hid in the cave and evaded the police's radar. The robbers then discovered that the cave led to another part of the earth where dinosaurs exist. Unfortunately, the robbers were eaten by the dinosaurs. Finally the forest police tracked them down using the trails of the forest bear( as the robbers have been surviving on the bee's honey this whole time) and found this undiscovered dino land and calls in the dino specialists to save Lego CITY from dino invasion.

Actually pretty disappointed of the Set. The car looks somehow to high and unstable, while the base for the lasso or however you want to call the thing to catch the dino seems to be a bit oversized.
