According to a Lego FB group that image is fake. There was a huge discussion about it yesterday (posts and threads got deleted).

Aww that really sucks. :sceptic:

But looks too detailed to be fake to me... all the prints and real life photos...

He's got a point though. A very rude and hostile atmosphere considering we're talking about plastic bricks meant for kids. Not everyone frequents this site every single day. Some people just want LEGO news without all the extra nonsense.

Regarding Leia, I have four figures of her now. I honestly don't need another. It seems only people new to this are asking for her in cheap sets.

I've been a Lego addict for a long time. For me personally, it's not just enough to have one version of a character, I have to have every single costume variation and so forth. Not sure why, but I feel that way.

Doesn't look fake to me. It's in official LEGO packaging, the same art used on the 2017 stuff and the build is polybag-worthy. I think it's real, and it looks pretty damn cool, too. I hope this'll just be a regular poly released in a newspaper promo or something, since I don't think I'd make a specific purchase for this, especially since I already have a couple of normal R2-D2's.

It turned up yesterday and I wanted to post it here, but there was a flamewar going on on FB *huh* The person who posted it was called a fake and a fraud...although it looked real to me I moved on as it was newyears eve .

Now better pix have turned up and the people who cried that it was a fake are suddenly silent in that group

It's obviously real, I mean they even got the numbering right. It's in the series of minifigure polybags with new prints, and that's what this has- new prints.

Something else: the summer 2017 sets (Rathtar, Quadjumper, Vader's transformation etc)

-Later this month and in February are the NY and London Toy fairs. We'll get confirmation (and pix) then, right?

-The Bountyhunter battlepack: any confirmation on whether we'll get Bossk in that set? (I already have him from the Slave I set, but a friend (who doesn't collect LEGO but collects everything Bossk related) is dying to get him)

We should have a very solid set description and minifigure line up of each non-retailer exclusive set by early February, what with the London and Nuremberg Toy Fairs happening before the New York one. Picture guaranteed with the New York toy Fair.

The front page has Bossk in the bounty hunter Battle pack.

What front page?

If that's really the case I hope he gets a much needed update, but whatever the case may be, 4 named bounty hunters in a Battle pack ( I pray for 4-LOM, Zuckuss and IG-88 for the rest ) is the 2017 lego starwars set of the year in my book, judging by what's left coming.

Oh my! That is awesome news!

A small bit of news I haven't seen here yet: a new activity book has been released called "Quest for the Kyber Saber". It contains the new Imperial navy trooper from the new DS! Definitely gonna use that torso for my Imperial shuttle pilot.

It actually sounds to good for me. Not that I am particullary interested in an bountyhunter Battle pack, but four named characters in a 16€ set seems to be a bit unrealistic.

I believe he means the first post/page of this thread :classic:

Regarding the bounty hunter pack I'm hoping for dual molded arms on that Bossk. I'd really like 4-Lom and Zuckuss but as they are kind of a team it seems a bit weird to get one without the other. If it is an Episode 5 set then I could see Boba Fett being in it, but due to the amount of sets he is in that seems unlikely. In some of the CW episodes they had a small bounty hunting team which had a young Boba(rumoured in another set), Dengar, Bossk, and some others. I don't recall IG-88 being apart though, I could be wrong though. Aurra Sing was a member of the crew I think though, so maybe she could be the last figure. Or even Cad Bane. But that's a bit of an obscure reference to a random Clone Wars episode.  To me it'd make sense to get IG-88, Bossk, Zuckuss, and 4-LOM making it to where those who want the whole crew would need to purchase the Freemakers set with Dengar (pause for sinister laugh). Considering it is a super cheap set I'd be happy with just any one of those figs to get 3 unique ones, at least, is spectacular. I honestly don't care if it's another Boba(still hoping for another new fig though) I'm just thrilled with the current line up!

Fixed it to "Boba" instead of Bobs. Darn you auto correct.

If the source added Bossk, IG-88  and Dengar I think it's fair to assume the last one will indeed be Boba Fett?

Or maybe the'll shove in either 4-LOM or Zuckuss, and include the latter is an expensive or what not. I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up but dang Lego is playing their cards right if they ever pull that off.

It will be the strangest battlepack to date. Typically Lego seems to rely on several purchases of battlepacks by single consumers to make it profitable. If true, this will be the first inherently single-purchase battlepack released.

Haha, autocorrect tried changing Boba to Bobs or Bona for me too

I'd love to get a Bossk and IG-88, but I refuse to believe that LEGO would put such characters together in one set.

Agreed. If it were hypothetically a placeholder for a Kelvin Ridge camp folk battlepack, it would compliment the First Order pack. The next month will be interesting to see if it's truly a bounty hunter Battle pack.

The Official Stormtrooper Training Manual (LEGO Star Wars) comes with a Snowtrooper Commander

and

Quest for the Kyber Saber (LEGO Star Wars: Activity Book with Minifigure) comes with the Death Star Trooper from 75159

They're both available on Amazon as of Dec 27.

I hope its not Boba since he's already available in the Desert Skiff and Carbon Freeze Chamber. That and 2017 is already shaping up to be a VERY underwelming year in terms of brand new Star Wars characters. It would be nice to at least get one new bounty hunter included that hasn't been done before.

Glad to hear the new Death Star Trooper will be available outside of 75159. It makes it easier for those of us who want to update the figures from the original Death Star without having to buy the new one. Hopefully Leia and Tarkin will show up in more affordable alternatives down the road.

He was also in the advent calender this year.

Hopefully they'll be different variants. I like exclusive figures.

No that was a different one. The advent calender trooper has a jumpsuit, the ones from the new DS and the book have a tunic (and different belt, chinstrap etc.).

While both are variations of the Navy Troopers, they serve different roles. The troopers with the jumpsuit are working as specialists, technicians etc., whereas the troopers with the tunic are on guard duty (e.g. in the detention block AA23 and in the conference room). I am very happy to get them in a cheaper offering.
