Tech Artist Posted January 26, 2016 This definetly has potential. The design is fantastic and I love how low they are to the ground yet still function despite the low clearance. This is definetly something Lego has tried before according to Bricklink so I think since this seems much more detailed I think it has a great shot of becoming a set. It seems like it would fit in well with the City theme.
Hinckley Posted January 27, 2016 From the Site Guidelines: LEGO Ideas: If you have a great MOC, that is also a LEGO Ideas project, you may present it on EB as you would any MOC, with a single link to the Ideas entry. Make the title about the MOC, not the Ideas business; don't be too shouty, and it is likely to be tolerated. You need to be thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on LEGO Ideas', rather than: 'I want Ideas support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote!. Please make this topic more about your creation than about your Ideas campaign. Failure to do so will result in the locking of this topic and the removal of your Ideas link. Thank you. For further info about Site Guidelines you may have forgotten please check the link in my signature or the Site Guidelines link in the top right hand corner, under the banner, of every page on this site. Dutchiedoughnut Posted February 1, 2016 Cool and great scale, too. Those engines do seem massive for the little gokarts!
El Garfio Posted February 2, 2016 It's a good idea and a great creation. I see these karts very assumible for LEGO to release them.
SollX Posted February 2, 2016 great idea! i like the look although i think they are a bit to big for a go-kart especially the engines but still i love the look and creativity
El Garfio Posted February 2, 2016 great idea! i like the look although i think they are a bit to big for a go-kart especially the engines but still i love the look and creativity Big engines and oversized exhausts are the kind of thing that kids love. dman122866 Posted February 5, 2016 Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback. I really wanted to get that "bumper" look around the go-kart so that kind of dictated the size. The engines.... these are really fast go-karts :)
chrisb2012 Posted February 8, 2016 Got my support on Lego Ideas!!!
dman122866 Posted July 5, 2016 So here's the larger MOC in the process of being built around the Go-Karts idea. I'm working on a belt drive that will drag the cars (using magnets) around a track made up of road plates. BrickCurve Posted July 6, 2016 Very interesting concept. This could work quite well as a set. Supported!
LegoManTroy Posted July 6, 2016 Great job on the go-carts. It feels like this should be a set.
antp Posted July 7, 2016 indeed, nice use of the arch/fender part, what is on Ideas could work as a set. It may be worth adding real photos of the vehicles there (at least the photo posted here at the top of the page: it looks better than the LDD renderings)
Alex Posted July 7, 2016 It looks amazing It's a great idea with the Snot mudguard. It has my support as well!

antp Posted July 7, 2016 (edited) The fist pic seen is the one on the description tab; I was just giving a hint to make the project more appealing ;) (or maybe they prevent from updating the description tab contents?) Edited July 7, 2016 by antp

kurigan Posted July 15, 2016 Brilliant!. Newcomer to the thread and all the while I was reading I was wondering if you could mount a magnet strong enough to pull through the base plates but it looks like you have. TYhis is awesome.
kibosh Posted July 18, 2016 Wow. I thought this was awesome when it was just really well built go-carts. This is next-level stuff right here!
