Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

I'm a big fan of any set where the villains get a proper hangout/ship. Things like the Milano and Avenjets are great but they come with a little baby addon for the villains. It's nice to finally have a huge robot that looks like it'd take more than just Spider-Man to defeat.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Is this a joke? How can they possibly think that putting this garbage in the same level as the Slave 1 or any other UCS set was a good idea? You'd think after Hoth, they would listen to the community. Why not just make an Ultimate Playset Series or something, at least then it would make some sense.
  3. Wow, that was a fast reply. Alright, a lot of that made sense to me from that link. So, something like say https://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-Digital-Optical-3-0-Inch/dp/B00THKEKEQ would be good? It's strange because as far as I can tell, it seems like a really good camera for only $189 so maybe I'm missing something about it which will negatively effect me or something. Well, thanks for the help. Photography has a lot that just goes completely over my head.
  4. Hello, I apologize if this isn't the place. I was thinking about posting to already established threads in the sticky but many of those haven't been posted in since 2013-2014 and I would assume some of the information would be outdated. I thought I would be able to use my Galaxy S6 phone to take decent photos but it's simply not working out. I can only focus on one small area at a time and the zoom is simply terrible so I am in need of a real camera. I'd like to spend less than $300 but all I care about is taking really good photos. I have decent experience with Photoshop and other tools but I would prefer to have my photos looking great and then added to with post rather than taking alright photos and making them adequate. One thing that's important is focus for me, I'd like to have everything in focus, or certain areas, or pretty decent zoom-ins. Has anybody made comics with LEGO and achieved good results? I have lights, decent backdrop setup, etc but all I'm missing is the camera. Thanks for the help in advance.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

But all things considered, they didn't even change from the last Avengers to Civil War. They are still the same outfits which means that an updated minifigure is impossible. It'd be the same as what was already released. The only possible Civil War exclusive I think would be Zemo which would be boring, but at least it'd be new. I mean I suppose they could release Tony in his fancy suit with one of his hands being red. But I'm not expecting much.

Post Your Superhero Minifig Collections Here!

Wow, where do you get those display cases? Right now, I have almost every Marvel superhero and what I do is put them in a dime bag and put a label stating their name, set number they came in, and the year produced. It's a mess. I was thinking about using bricklink number, but those aren't "official" are they?

2017 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Maybe I am a fool but how does that line go through the fishing pole? It seems impossible to me since the line has a stud on both ends, right?

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

I finished building the Doc Ock thingymabob and I love it. It has tons of articulation to display, there are fun features like spinning the tentacles around and shooting the cannons (I haven't attempted this as I know I'll lose all the studs the moment I try) but mostly I just love having a big villain display. I have so many huge superhero ships and bases and whatnot and now I finally have something that looks like it'd take more than one hero to defeat. It's just really awesome. The printing on all the figures is excellent as well. Not sure why they went back to the full blue Spider-Man and not give him the red boots version. It seems like a step backwards, especially in a wave that has to compete with the Civil War version of Spider-Man.
  9. How did you manage this? It's so fluid, the effects are great, everything is just top-notch!

Marvel Superheroes 2017 - Set Discussion

Ah, yeah. This set sounds amazing. Would've been cool to get an Agents of Shield set with Skye, Ward, etc. but Coulson and Lola is good enough I suppose. Add in Iron-Man and you got a recipe for success!

    Purist Superhero Figures

Pick-A-Brick usually has poor options as well. Bricklink is really the best way to get individual pieces like that. And the problem with flesh heads is that they generally come from the more expensive licensed sets of course, so they will always be priced accordingly. Now there are still lots of flesh heads out there. Something specific and only in one set years ago is going to cost more than a head they reuse year after year. Other than that I suppose you could go to Craigslist or what have you and try to find big lots of minifigures, but there's not a whole lot of options when it comes to minifigures at a good price.

    Storing LEGO's with limited space?

I'm a little confused. When you say storing, you mean putting your sets into boxes or do you mean displaying them? If the former, then what I would do is get big ziploc bags and take them apart, put the manual in them and then get some large plastic tubs to put them in. That way they will be relatively safe and easy to get if you want them. If you mean display, then just get lots of shelves, either bookcase type things, install shelves on your wall, etc.

    71040 The Disney Castle Discussion

I wish I could get paid to build sets for display. I do love those Nexo Knight shields.
  14. I really love that forest with the cart going through it. I just love dark builds where the light is all blocked out, but you've even got some light shining down and it just looks almost realistic. If I could shrink down and be a minifigure I'd love to live in that place.
  15. I've never understood why Lego releases things that look so different. I mean, how hard is it to google an image of say Belle and try to match it up? Even with stuff like Lego Superheroes, if they don't have great images to work off for movies or something, why not have some fun and try to base it off comics for the fans.
