Since this is the pub I am going to ask, has anyone had a 8885 controller break?

The issue is not with the controller itself, the issue is that the plastic lip around the battery terminals extends too far, so that contact is not made, at least in my remotes. I got one remote and 2 replacements, all with this issue, which is solved by using tin foil balls to allow contact between the battery and the controller terminal. Hope that helps! I can provide a photo later, if needed, once I am near my camera and Lego.

We will have our 2nd Technic meet and great with builders and enthusiasts of Technic or Lego in general.  It will take place in a about a week or two just north of Toronto in Vaughan.  If anyone is interested you can PM myself, @DugaldIC or @Lox Lego who will both be coming.  I am sure they will be bringing their current builds.

Well, I have been working on another car, wasn't sure if I wanted to make a WIP topic, but here it is:

(teaser image)

I was walking in downtown when I saw a 1994 Toyota MR2 and this just popped out of my mind... It is VERY fast! If you put tape on the wheels it is a good drifter.

Hey guys,

The pub is actually meant for non-LEGO conversations

So by all means, create WIP topics for your MOCs.
