Technically, there is a Krypto Brickheadz! …that James Gunn received as a birthday present, along with his likeness, plus his dog that DCU Krypto is based on (I think?)  

Well, this is the closest we’ll ever get to DCU sets!

And I don’t believe that Daily Planet rumour for a second. The source seems sketchy.

Just opened Instagram to see a reliable leaker confirming a Daily Planet modular is on the way.....

2027 release with oboe and comic Easter eggs supposedly.

Has bootlessbricks ever reported rumours before? The Bricktap guys are sceptical, so unless they corroborate it, I’m not buying it

Man if that isn't a summary of the flaws of the DCU, I don't know what is. If only 2/3rds of the brickheadz were 18+, it'd be perfect.

Skeptical on the planet modular. It's not impossible- there have been some rumors, and we did get arkham- but if they won't even make a MoT set, if they actively slapped the Soup mech with early retirement, it seems unlikely.

Unibricks believes him. Among with other sources I trust.

The fact that the Krypto Brickheadz has the DCU soup logo bodes well. Lego don’t make prints for such small scale reasons usually. They’ve now got that logo ready to print.

Well I’m done being cynical. If the Daily Planet is possible that means a TIE Avenger and Green Lantern mech are too.

Unfortunately don't we already know the 1HY? I think if real it'd end up being a limited figure count- Soup and Lex from the mech, inevitably a batman (though at this point jonkler would require new prints unless it's the TDK version), 3-4 new figs and some kitbashes for the planet staff.

A birthday present for a specific guy is kind of a unique (and absurd) situation, but we've seen hyper-limited/1 of 1 sets/minifigs before with exclusive prints. 

Plus, looking at his birthday present, at least from the images I can see I'm not even 100% sure that was sent to him by lego. He does @ them and the safrans, so it's possible the safrans had lego make this for him, but the bricks almost look used and there are some elements of the design that don't feel official to me- most notably the different base. There are companies online that specialize in custom lego gifts for corporate execs and even do exclusive prints/packaging/instructions, so I think there's a high chance that was the case. Also because I've never heard of lego making a birthday present for someone and choosing the guy who they haven't made any sets for his DC movies would be a weird place to start. Between the two pieces of potential lego DC news today I'd say this one is by far the less concrete as to whether anything is coming.

Okay I might have slightly lower standards for the word reliable but I was under the impression that Unibricks had pretty good track record, r/legoleaks have used him as a source for things like the ninjago set names before. I still want to believe. I mean brick tap might not have corroborated it but if they were clearly sure it was false they'd probably put out a post saying so on the Legoleaks subreddit.

If you want to believe them feel free, but we do not want the entire next year to be ‚WHERE IS HELMS DEEP I WAS PROMISED!‘ If REAL info and not speculation and ‚this might release’ comes out, we will post it“.

It might be just me but I'd rather have a D2C Oscorp or Fisk Tower than Daily Planet, it's just so similar to the Bugle but then again the figure potential is there for the Planet

If it is true should we expect a new Flash,Wonder Woman,Green Lantern ?

Well, Just2good just made a video about the Daily Planet D2C and JediJACPenguin reposted it on his story…

So HOPEFULLY, we’re closer than ever to getting a D2C Daily Bugle.

But I feel like @BrickBob Studpants isn’t gonna believe we’re getting one until he has one in his hands (and I honestly kinda don’t blame him)

I see, but surely Unibricks would only repost he believed in? He's been a source before I'm sure, I do find the leaker clique stuff a bit confusing but I'm not ready to give up on this dream yet.

Nah, I'd rather something DC personally. I do like marvel a lot too but DC needs more Lego representation and Marvel is very well covered.

Again, this whole house of cards is built on a single source that has never provided a single credible leak before  My assumption is that others only started to share it because Unibricks did.

With any other theme, I’d believe it once reliable leakers confirmed it. With DC, I‘d still be sceptical while building the damn thing

The fact that r/legoleaks hasn't posted anything yet implies that team thinks it's not real. But some of the people reposting it don't seem the type to run with rampant rumors.

Whatever ends up happening, there'll be egg on somebody's face at the end of this. A lot of people staking their reliability on it being real/fake.

Fisk's Tower maybe not just because it really isn't all that iconic or has anything happen in it very often - I don't think it's been in the netflix series or MCU, or even shows up much in the comics, the only time I remember it at all is from the opening of Spider-Man PS4- but Oscorp definitely. That said, with how little DC gets I won't begrudge it getting something.

Unfortunately I think that's pretty unlikely, they have pretty much no figure basis to build off here so I imagine superman family characters will be given priority. Pretty much all they can re-use are Soup, Lex, and some kitbashed civilians. And unlike Arkham you can't just put half the figs in the same torso and legs.

This latest wishlist-type leak reminds me of the survey leak from a few years ago. That all sounded incredible, and very dubiously sourced, but I think every single set in that survey has been released by now? So this might be the same.
