HadesKing28 Posted June 12 Posted June 12 Best January wave of all time?! Symbiote Spider-Man, scarlet spider, buildable Jeff, potential Raimi epic battle, SKYLINE with fisk tower and a new sanctum all on one day! Wonder what the price is gonna be like on some of these, not many super high piece counts, especially for jeff Quote

If it's not a direct tie-in, it's a soft one. either way, I'll be skipping both 2026 Doom-including sets until we know what the mech variant looks like. 33 minutes ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Could the Spidey vs Green Goblin set be based on the first Raimi film?! No way Lego would go out of their way to make something this randomly cool just for the hell of it? I mean I do hope this sets precedent. If it's Kaine I think lego's actually just straight up been reading my posts. Mcquarrie concept figs, Rebel Y-wing for the anniversary, buildable jeff the land shark, and Kaine have been in like half my posts over the past year. (Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luna Snow) I don't know. Lego loves Venomizing stuff. Zombies are a similar sort of niche I imagine kids find cool. With all the other cuts here- Demo Goblin?!?!? Lasher?!?!? somebody at lego thinking "hey let's do that sic strange from What If with a bunch of the What If zombies" doesn't seem like a crazy leap. A second amazing january in a row for this theme: Spidey vs Demo Goblin: WHAT? HOW? Not that I'm complaining. If lego just wants to give us a bunch of different goblins and symbiotes, I'm down for it. Can we get a Red Goblin? Definite buy. Barely disguised Raimi film set: Unless it really is just a small comic set, immediate buy. I imagine this is a counterpart to the spider-man 3 set and will be the same price and size. KAINE (Daredevil, Moon Knight, Luna Snow) mech vs Lasher: Holy peak- even if it's "just" the ben reily suit. Doomech with Doom, Dooma, and Thor: My god, four immediate buys in a row. Jeff the Landshark: FINALLY SOME RIVALS REPRESENTATION: probably also a buy- I love the little war criminal. Hopefully this follows up with some figure-scale sets later. Disney's Haunted Sanctum: Not quite my tempo, but sounds like a really cool set nontheless. Spider-Man Logo: Honestly, well played lego. The symbiote suit is going to make this sell just fine when it otherwise stood a good chance at flopping. I won't be picking it up but I applaud the move. Skyline: Another one that's not quite my tempo but sounds awesome. I wonder what design the Galactus figure will be. Quote
JeanGreyForever Posted June 12 Posted June 12 So excited for the Raimi set. A remake of the Green Goblin was long overdue and same with MJ. Wondering if it'll be based on the climax of the movie on the bridge or the World Unity event like the original set was based on. Lego knew what they were doing when they threw in symbiote Spider-Man in that logo set. Zombie Wanda has long been requested so nice to see her finally getting made as well. The skyline set featuring the Human Torch gives me hope that a future Spidey set will have an actual Torch minifigure, either in his comic suit or his flame on mode. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 12 Posted June 12 A while back we were discussing what Marvel would do next year with Secret Wars being the only MCU movie. Turns out, the answer was delivering peak the likes of which have rarely been seen before This list is an absolute fever dream. Man, between this, the Mûmakil, the Sandworm, and Mario minifigs, 2027 will be another certified banger of a year for LEGO, and we’re not even halfway through this year! All I need now for 2027 is Rotta, another wave of exquisit One Piece sets, and the Krusty Krab, and all my money is yours, TLG Quote
Kaijumeister Posted June 12 Author Posted June 12 (edited) This is an incredible-sounding wave. Most will be a skip for me just due to a lack of personal interest, but the set selection is objectively awesome. We FINALLY get a (presumably) Raimi Goblin, I can’t believe it! I really hope they go all out with the minifigure; new helmet mould, arm printing etc. It would be awesome to get a full-on battle damaged Spider-Man too. My only point of confusion is the seeming lack of a full-on Doomsday wave, given the scale of the film. We know we have the two playscale sets and the Doom bust with the absolutely phenomenal Doom minifigure, but that’s it? Supposedly the Doomsday sets don’t even include Doom himself going by one of the moderator comments on the Reddit LegoLeak post for the Doom minifigure. Edited June 12 by Kaijumeister Quote
hvader Posted June 12 Posted June 12 (edited) I feel like the Thor vs Doom mech set has to be a Doomsday set, adding that to Avengers Tower, Doom Bust, the vehicle set, and the potential epic moments set in October (which we can only presume to be Doomsday), that’s 5 sets, same as the initial Endgame wave I believe? I bet we’ll also see spoiler-y sets in 2027. We didn’t get a ton for Endgame initially but Lego is fully invested in the MCU now, so I bet they’ll want to roll these out quick Edited June 12 by hvader Quote

Also MaxBaut has further confirmed that the Spidey vs. GG set is indeed based on the 2002 film, whilst the logo set with the Symbiote suit is based on Spider-Man 3. Amazing! Quote

psqidexslizer Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) I think I might be the only one disappointed by this wave. The 2002 Spider-Man vs Green Goblin set is an absolute pick-up for me. A Galactus minifigure sounds great, definitely another pick up. The rest just don’t interest me that much. I’m glad we’re getting new characters, but they’re not characters I recognize or care about. I want to see some X-Men or comic-styled Fantastic Four or Bullseye and Kingpin. Some more comic styled Avengers would be nice. And if the best we can do is Spider-Man villains, comic Electro and a bigfig Rhino are begging to be done. But the only new characters we seem to be getting are goblins and symbiotes. But it could always be worse. My nose could be gushing Batmobiles. Edited June 13 by psqidexslizer Quote
NXS7 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 There's a bit more on the Skyline that says nanofigs of Iron Man and Silver Surfer should be included too ("unless the set changed"). I do agree with your point about Demogoblin and Lasher, especially when we're waiting for even just a proper Shocker, but it's interesting that clearly someone who knows comics has designed these sets. They're both such obscure pulls, neither have had any actual media exposure (though while checking that I did see Lasher was apparently in Venom 3, but I don't think anyone's watched it. It also wasn't a significant role like Riot in the first one) 4 hours ago, Mandalorianknight said: Disney's Haunted Sanctum: Not quite my tempo Why do you suppose I just hurled a chair at your head Neiman? Same here for the big ones, though I think I'll be snapping up all the sub-$30 sets. It'll for sure get a helmet mold, hopefully arm printing as well. What I'm interested in seeing is the color- there's no color in lego's palatte that accurately gets that metallic sheen. Bright green will be fine and I'm sure that's what it'll be, but if there was ever a time for Metallic Green to return, it's now. It is really odd. Lego doesn't seem to be very confident about the movie besides knowing Doom himself will sell a bust, which is a safe bet. Honestly I think it's a good move on lego's part, if I were them all i'd be confident on the sales of are an X-jet with some of the Foxverse X-men, and a set with the pre-endgame main cast: Thor, Doom, Loki, and Steve- and we have no guarantee that they even know what Loki and Steve's costumes in this are. Even the Thunderbolts* tower set we're getting, as much as I love that team and the fact that we're getting a soft tie in to that movie, is a risk IMO. 3 hours ago, Kaijumeister said: Also MaxBaut has further confirmed that the Spidey vs. GG set is indeed based on the 2002 film, whilst the logo set with the Symbiote suit is based on Spider-Man 3. Yeah I don't think it will, I don't think the Groots came with minifigs either. I'm fine with it- all we need is one to break through and the rest will follow. Absolutely. Though to be honest at this point Luna Snow's just tagging along as part of the chant- the game's overexposed and overpromoted her so much that there are plenty of characters in the game I'd rather have. I think if I could get any four, but only four Rivals defaults it would be Moon Knight, Peni Parker (with the mech), White Fox, and a bigfig Thing. As much as I do like the both interesting stuff with Daredevil's lore they've been doing in Rivals and the passion his voice actor Aleks Le has for the character, his design just isn't very Daredevil to me and I'd much prefer we get netflix-style body armor or a Frank Miller black suit in a set. Cloak and Dagger would actually be a good option for a Rivals fig, seeing as her comic outfit isn't something lego would make, whereas the Rivals default covers her up more. "I... I don't know, JJJ" Quote
Borex Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Sounds like an awesome new wave. I was trying to customise a demogoblin, no need for that now i guess. Quote
calebcold3 Posted June 13 Posted June 13 Wow, this sounds like an awesome wave, with the Spider-Man VS Green Goblin set being my most hyped set. The Marvel Skyliner and the Spider-Man Logo Set also have potential to be bangers. The only thing that's throwing me off is the set numbers. Aren't the set numbers for the Super Heroes Theme supposed to start with 76XXX? But apparently, according to something I read, it might be because of LEGO running out of available numbers due to 764XX being tied to Harry Potter sets, so that makes sense if that's the case. Quote

kevkipo Posted June 13 Posted June 13 'What if' is a weird inclusion? Does anyone even care about that anymore? I agree with @BrickBob Studpants on that I feel like it's likely that we get a wave of sets in Spring 2027. I also feel like instead of strictly just being sets tied to BTSV, I feel like LEGO will do a similar thing to how they released those 3 sets before NWH, where only one was really a NWH set. So I can see us getting 3 Spider-Verse sets in the Spring, where 1 set is based on ISTV, 1 set is based on ATSV, and 1 set is based on BTSV. Quote
