    Or that the wolf mask has eyes without lashes to make it feminine. That piece could have been part of a cool carpet, or maybe a cool hood piece for fantasy figs, but because of the lashes it looks cartoony

    Thanks! I will be checking it out. One of the coolest things about Timbuctoo was that all those animals lived in Timbuctoo, but for us in the Netherlands it was called Doedeliedam (doodly dam) like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Schiedam and all those dams. And as a kid i would tell anyone that when i’d grow up i would live in Doedeliedam. have you tried building mr. messy by the way? That should be a hard one :-)

    I might search for my log-in digits for ideas again. This is top notch. The Mr. Men series in Dutch was my favorite series as a little kid. However i only like the old books. And only drawn by Hargreaves himself. Loved the series Timbuctoo as well. But there were only a few translated in Dutch. If you know someplace i can read all Timbuctoo stories i would be very thankful!

    And oh yeah, if i get my hands on that Doom bust (for example my wife gets it for me) i really want to make it a MF Doom bust. Probably some people are already making moc plans for it as well

    Nightcrawler and Mystique , what are their Doomsday looks? I mean, we all want them to pair with the mansion of course. I hope Reid is maybe a build himself or has the stretchy arms.

    I have a lot of unofficial dbz minifigs and they are great. I already was very delighted with the Shenron rumour, but official dbz sound very cool. I don’t know if the official ones can be better than the other brands, but i really hope they bring us early dragon ball stuff. There are still so many early characters that are missing. The other brands are giving us all kind of Brolys and even fan-fiction versions of characters. But the old school roster still needs to be completed.

    Sounds like an awesome new wave. I was trying to customise a demogoblin, no need for that now i guess.

    I don’t have numbers of course, so it’s just a hunch, but i think they didn’t sell that well. It’s a tricky theme after all. AC has a large group of fans, but do they all buy lego? And are those sets interesting enough for people that don’t know anything about AC? I think if the builds were more challenging more afols would step in for parts or moc-ing. And for the kids it maybe is a bit too cozy? Maybe they went the big buildable figure route to speak more to the adult AC-fan? but then again, this is just me guessing

    Well, this is not what i was hoping for. It is a kind of what i predicted though, big buildable and diorama style in one. Anyway i just wanted Tim and Tommy as minifigs to join the island

    I played ac since the wii version. I collected almost every set as well. My thoughts about the sets is that the builds are just a tad too simplistic. I get it though, lego wants to cater to the really young and the old as well. i also have to agree that i’m not a fan of the rounded baseplates as what NickNack said. It makes it harder to create nice dioramas. The minifigures are great. However i feel like they had a cmf series in mind because of the missing characters in some sets (orville and sable for instance). And they could have given Tom Nook a proper tailpiece instead of this one. My guess for this set is either a big buildable Tom Nook, or maybe a fleshed out diorama style landscape set like the zelda battle. Then maybe if they’ll make something like this for Mario you’ve got a nintendo series going on

    I hope they throw in a grey Hulk for making the fantastic four (hulk-spidey-wolverine-ghost rider)

    I’ll buy two polybags if i can find them to try making timmy and tommy. This polybag feels like a waste

    That Doom looks wicked! And Wolverine’s sweater looks very useful as well. This might be a must buy for me

    Maybe it’s not a cat or raccoon but a wolf puppy? Anyway will get robo rex and bionicle man. I do love the fish bones piece, so might get that ugly faced trash monster too. Not a big fan of this wave.

    I hope they’ll do recolour versions for bam of the frog suit (red? blue?), gold fish (koi white, koi black) and macaw (blue version) and i can see them doing recolours of the dog, cat and bunny as well. maybe they can do a white and black koi in city set, that would work for me.

    The goldfish costume is pretty static as it is, if they would use the short legs it would be an almost non moveable minifig i guess.

    Something that irks me is that the brown plates for the windows don’t have wood grain on them. I mean lego does have them, right? Maybe not in all sizes, but maybe stickers?
