I do remember one EB member really clamouring for an Ernie minifig like 4-5 years ago, but she hasn’t been active in the thread for a while. I don't know about other shopkeepers, but Mr Flume is seen when Harry comes out of the door from the underground and Mrs Flume is seen in the very background, when Harry enters the store. I forgot about Pigwidgeon, good point. Quote

Meanwhile Pomfrey and Mr Flume've been missing since 2021 and 2022 respectively (even though we got a new Hogsmeade and Hospital Wing in the meantime) and we got two new Narcissa figs that are both vastly inferior to the 2013 version. Tomsriddle Posted May 12 Posted May 12 This hogwarts wave is by far the best and most detailed. A minifigure scale version of the microscale is what fans have been begging for! Only complaint is slytherin common room being so small. Happy to have all 4 though. Various clues point to more sets coming in the “most detailed hogwarts” -Connection points, teasers image art, not covering movies 4-7 in detail, only young student minifigures, virtually no older versions minus the hospital wing. I suspect more sets are coming and will continue to release until the HBO series gets more popular. Here is what I would expect: Central Hall: (Order of the phoenix) Divination class in the tower. (Trelawney) getting kicked out. Will extend the Rocky Mountain forward and attach to thin edge East Wing. DADA class (Umbridge) + Umbridges Office. (The boggarts Lupin lesson took place in the lower level staffroom at Hogwarts) Harrys detention. (Filch, Ministry signs) Astronomy Tower: (Half Blood Prince) Perfect amount of space between east wing and rest of castle. Dumbledores death, Astronomy class at top with telescopes. (Bellatrix) Slughorns office and party. (Slughorn) Bell Towers: (Goblet of fire) Would connect to Central Tower, and have space on rocks for Herbology class attachment (Gillyweed Longbottom). Transfiguration Class (Krum Shark), Prefects Bathroom (Mermaid egg Cedric), Suit of armor long gallery hall. Rita Skeeter interviewing triwizard picks. (Fluer) Clock Tower: (Deathly Hallows) Battle of hogwarts, focuses on courtyard. (Nagini, Voldemort, Longbottom, Mrs. Weasley) Possibly larger room of requirement interior. Quote

Kinda makes me hope they’ll do a third Harry Potter CMF based off the series at some point – I can’t be the only fan who’s been around since the beginning who wouldn’t want to buy giant sets of the new series but who loves the books enough to wish they could still have all the characters the movies skipped. Peeves alone would probably sell really well if sold individually, and there’d be plenty of interest in the others as well. I would love a 3rd HP CMF series! Preferably not series based though. They should include some of this waves omissions such as Pomfrey and boggart Snape. So glad I have the previous versions but can never have enough! 13 hours ago, BrickBob Studpants said: Bricklink? I got impatient last summer and got the final one that way. I still would be missing Salazar Slytherin hadn’t I done that. Since the portraits are completely randomised, it’s possible to buy every set and still be missing a few. At least this is the third year now with the same collectible. The chocolate frog cards didn’t last that long and the One Piece posters / dossiers are exclusive to the respective wave, albeit at lower numbers to be fair I’ve never used bricklink, may have to try that. For the chocolate frog cards I started buying a bunch of those ‘build your own Hogwarts’ polybags - I would try to look through them at Toys R Us when they had them in stock (not that often). I do have a complete set It’s just recently transitioned to paper bags in Canada so if they are included in a future bag it’s a gamble like the sets. Quote

That’d the most superfluous CMF series ever made CMF series are supposed to give us minifigs we otherwise wouldn’t get, not slightly improved versions of minifigs we’ve had before! Granted, Boggart Snape could use an update, but there is not enough potential for a third HP series at this stage. That ship has well and truly sailed years ago. Quote
Legofan04 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 The figure I'm most disappointed not to see this year is Bogart Snape, but I get it. They were trying to fit in too much stuff. Pomfey not appearing makes sense since she's not in the film, but to have Bogart Snape, they would have needed Nevil, and those two character spots were taken up by the Ravenclaw ghost and student for the common room. If only the set had ten figures instead of eight. Unfortunately, Lego doesn't really give 10 figures in a hundred-dollar set anymore and the funny thing is they are much more generous with Harry Potter than the other licensed themes. Quote

I think not including Pomfrey is a huge miss considering it’s the hospital wing. Boggart Snape would have been so much better than the spider. The set for The Office included 15 new mini figs and it was only $150 Canadian. I wish we still got those types of numbers! Quote

Black Falcon Posted May 14 Posted May 14 In the end we shouldn´t look at the number of minifigs as a sole detail, as the number of other new Stuff will play a role to. Pretty sure they could have increased the number of minifigs, if they would have decided on other stuff to not include. The Patroni, Fawkes, Basilisk all eat a part of the budget too after all. Quote

I’ll gladly sacrifice a kitbashed minifig or one we’ve multiple times before for new animals and creatures The minifig selection this wave is spot-on in my eyes, as per the usual for this theme! Why did we need Kettleburn in the Main Tower (and Quirrell in the Great Hall instead of there)? If you are going to include a Common Room in a set, I think it makes perfect sense to also include at least a student from that house to inhabit it. Pomfrey is nowhere to be seen during the PoA Hospital Wing scene and Hermoine can inhabit the Hospital Wing with her time turner. Personally I’ll take Snape over Pince in the Library for the Doe Patronus, I bought Pince for $10 and I doubt the Doe goes for anything less than $20 at least imo. I think Millicent I could have sacrificed for Pince because I don’t think she shows up on screen in COS, just mentioned. Where Pince is at the Teacher’s Table. But regardless I do think it’s neat she’s included cause it’s a deep cut to that line Hermoine says. So I could go either way. The other thing to note with Pomfrey and Pince is they would need more budget to resurrect their retired hat pieces, so we would have lost something else to have them included whenever it may be an animal in the East Wing or what not. Quirell to me is a non issue because if you are buying one of the Great Hall or Main Tower, you are most likely definitely buying the other so you won’t miss him. Main Tower looks okay on its own and the Great Hall isn’t that good by itself but they look incredible together. Quirell is just as important to both sets, the Mirror of Erised reveal for the Main Tower and the fainting in the Great Hall scene. So doesn’t really bother me where him or Kettleburn are included. Either way Pomfrey and Pince are $10 background characters I don’t think it’s particularly something to get bent out of shape about. Edited May 14 by RODDY Quote

If there wasn't Kettleburn the minifig selection of the main tower would have been very weak for collectors. Edited May 14 by Gorilla94 Quote

Yea the only other real draw to that set minifig wise is Pajama Neville because it’s a unique variant we never got but everything else is pretty run of the mill. Still a phenomenal set but it’s def one you go for the build rather than the figs. Edited May 15 by RODDY Quote

I'm constantly baffled by how well LEGO have trained their customers to defend their cutting corners; I really can't think of any other premium product where buyers constantly go "Sure those features would be nice and in fact kind of expected given the subject matter, but we can't ask this poor little corporation to dip into their huge profit margin in order to provide them". As an average customer I'd want the Library to come with a librarian and the Hospital Wing to come with a nurse, period. Especially since LEGO insist that those huge, expensive sets are still aimed at kids so they need to have some play value. If you need a Ravenclaw for the Common Room, to me that means an additional figure and LEGO should budget accordingly. They don't, of course. And by now many fans have accepted this, and anytime someone points out the lacking set design or minifigs others quickly jump in to point out that it's not a big deal, you can just buy the missing figs on Bricklink (which is owned by LEGO), and anyway be grateful we've gotten X figure or Y new part instead. Serious question (because I don't have many expensive hobbies): Is that how it works everywhere these days? If you buy, say, an expensive smartphone, and the company tells you that they had to cut a popular function which the previous generation of smartphones had because it wasn't in the budget for the new one, would that go over well or would people question the validity of the budget? If you buy premium products from other companies, is it a given that you pay full price in the first place and then have to budget extra in order to complete the products by using second-hand market places and the like? People act like LEGO's budgeting and number of "frames" per set or theme or whatever are handed down by a higher authority and the designers are doing their very best. Nah. These are calculated corporate decisions to make lacking products in order to keep the profit margins secure or growing, backed up by the fact that customers aren't going to penalise them for it. I'm all for LEGO making sure they stay profitable and keeping making more stuff, but it's been a long long time since 2003. Personally, Hospital Wing without Pomfrey was absolutely wild because she's a prominent character in the books and shows up enough in the films. When I saw LEGO Pince I couldn't have even told you she whe was in the books or films, but maybe that's just me. Quote

And on some things I would have prefered other decicions, but everyone has his own idea what he wants to have included anyways. 10 minutes ago, Clone OPatra said: Personally, Hospital Wing without Pomfrey was absolutely wild because she's a prominent character in the books and shows up enough in the films. I shouldn't have said designers specifically, but team as a whole, from whoever makes the budget decisions and right on down. Sometimes it come from above (I don't know if it's the team lead or a budgeting department above them), and sometimes it is the designers having strange priorities. One of the examples that annoys me the most personally is Draco Malfoy's Years 6/7 head. The first time we got Year 6 Draco, in 2020, he had that reused head that looks nothing like him, and again in 2022 (in a massive UCS no less). Then in 2023, he got his own unique head which was much better. But in 2025 he's back to the old bad one (plus a reused torso). What's with that!? Apologists will say the factory didn't have space to keep the box containing the purposefully designed Draco head, but really, give me a break. A main important character should not be relegated to use some ill-fitting head print time and time again. Same thing happened to Luna too: she had her own unique head print and no longer does. Quote

This!!! ^^^ I just find it wild that the Hospital Wing has no Pomfrey. It’s the hospital. But the set has more focus on the DADA classroom in which they give us the brick built spider instead of the boggart Snape. When I pointed it out many said I could buy them on Bricklink and/or raves about all the great new molds we are getting such as the patronus, flying fawks and basilisk Don’t get me wrong, I love the new molds but I would rather pay a bit more to have the obvious characters included. Honestly it should have been two separate sets to do the Hospital Wing and DADA classroom justice or it should have been a much bigger set. Plus DADA, Hospital Wing and Ravenclaw are all based in towers. Quote
