I have decided to follow the rules exactly without deviating, and create a model which can be operated b a single SBricks, which will have four PF motors and four functions. Clean and simple.

So, I am posting my idea and soon I will have pictures of the chassis.

Model is going to be fully enclosed with system bricks, with all mechanics hidden inside, and fully operable. So, modelteam+technic.

The scale is 1:13

Real machine:

So? I think in that case, it would be even more interesting. We can build the same machine, but in different stiles. It would be cool.

Unbelievable, wanted to build the same machine...Lol

Is it still ok with rules?

No rule preventing people to build the same machine. So far there is three of us who is building this loader :)

I'm looking forward to seeing 3 different versions of this machine.

Maybe that could be a future contest, everyone build the same machine!!!

That is a great idea!

But for this contest, I don't think there would be 3 version of this machine...

Ok, update:

As pointed before, this machine is modelteam outside, inside technic. Scale is big enough (1:13) but still giving me hard time as everything inside is packed to the roof.

This time I worry myself I am going insane, as this is my most accurate model, proportionally, technically and visually wise. I spent numerous hours on computer designing perfectcly scaled and detailed outer shell-body, as this model has only few straight lines, everything else is curved lines, and I wanted to capture them perfectly.

Inside of the model, which is not visible, is also modeled to be exact the same as chassis of the real life machine. It drove me insane, too, as I wanted to make it perfect as the outer shell.

Everything had to be symmetrical and braced, but bracing had to be kept hidden.

Drive is made as simple and strong as possible, and so far it is unbreakable. If the rolling chassis hit the obstacle and stops, XLs either stops, or tracks are spinning in place.

Technical goodies also include realistic tracks, copied from Liebherr's pdf. Tracks are suspended, via swing arm, and act as pendular suspension. Drive sprocket is separated and it has its own axle.

Also, from technical aspect, i am most proud of the tracks mounting points. Four main (of six) connections (tracks to body) is done via small turntables, so they had very secured position and drive axles passing through has no losses from frictions, as there is none.

I am most proud on the body of the loader. Functionality is also considered, and I will try to have at least seven openable doors and panels

Also, news about longer pneumatics are icing on the cake, After they come to the market, I will make conversion to them.

I will post pictures and videos of the finished model around 10th of February.

If you are going to do a pneumatic conversion will you make it cordless?

Of course :)

With two servos for two compact valves, and one M motor with 1 or 2 blue pumps.

Ok, machine is finished.

At the moment I am editing the video, and it should be online tomorrow morning.

Quick facts:

- 1:13 scale, my most accurate replica

- 3.8 Kg

- 4 functions

- 6 openable doors

- Some cool techniques.

- Lots! of rebuilt to achieve full satisfaction.

Full write up and video tomorrow morning.

Really beautiful, I am also looking forward to seeing it in operation!

At first I honestly couldn't tell which one was the real machine. To say that I'm blown away by how beautiful this is would be an understatement.

Yeah, it is not the strongest ripper in the contest, but as a manual function, it does not really has to be :) Thanks!

Wow Milan! Your entry is superb!

Very nice! I'm just divided for windows. I find that is innovative but an open cab would have been more beautiful. What are you hiding in there?

It is very pity to hide part that is extremely well done...
