A long, long time ago I started working on a micro scale Millennium Falcon. To begin with all I wanted to do was add detail to the Microfighter but I kept tinkering and before I knew it I had a growing collection of micro Star Wars freighters and fighters, and here they are! Instructions for all these little builds are on my Rebrickable page. Since this all started with that Falcon Microfighter the cockpit piece (a light blueish-grey 2x2 truncated cone) became my yardstick for scale. Luckily trans-black 1x1 slope pieces work as fighter cockpits at the same scale so all the ships are, and will continue to be, as close to scale with each other as I can manage, at least based on these pieces and whatever reference images I can gather from Google. My Blockade Runner (April 2021) is the last ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list, although it’s hardly micro! The size and weight were a new challenge for me, I’ve never had to worry about a moc falling apart under its own weight before, but I enjoyed the challenge and managed to make it pretty easy to pick strong. I’ve put together instructions for the Tantive IV as well as the Liberator from Star Wars Rebels, which I couldn’t resist building for myself. Rather than doing new posts for each new ship I’ll edit the very long post below. This model was originally a @hachiroku model of the the Nubian Royal Star-ship from Star wars Episode I (The Phantom Menace), as seen here. I followed his instructions and gave it my own twist with bulkier engines, elongated fuselage and a blue color streak or three, along with bumblebee stripes for the official neo-Classic Space look. Speaking of engines, these "glow" trans-orange whereas the original model didn't have any afterglow color. I also added radar dish pieces to them, as it wouldn't be classic space without these parts, would it? The ship is owned by Classic Space Ambassador and vintage 1978 white-suited astronaut Jenny, who uses the ship to conduct meetings with just-discovered worlds to talk to them about membership in the Lego Space Congress. They don't have to join with the Classic Space forces, as they can represent themselves (in the League of Non-Aligned Worlds) or join another force such as the Roboforce Alliance, M-Tron Company, Futuron Generational Holdings, Neo Nexus Force, The UFO and Insectoid Leagues, among many others. Usually, Jenny travels with a flotilla of other ships representing a smorgasbord of interests such as those listed above from across the Milky Way. (and beyond!) to each new world, where they each have five Galactic-standard minutes to state there case for their league, and why the world in question should join them. The world can then vote to join a established group, not join any and remove itself from the forum completely in self-imposed seclusion, or join the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. (This league of last resort is a patchwork of rebel colonies, drifting moons, mining asteroids, and separate worlds that is sadly the dumping ground for "everyone else" in the Space Congressional system. It is so fractured that they don't even have a appointed leader, but several semi-leaders of different categories of their members. As no-one is above anyone else, it's pure chaos in that section of the bureaucracy!) The inside of the ship, with one part missing from under the glass dome at the rear (the stellar map of the Lego Galaxy) In front of the cockpit is a storage area for cargo or consumables and the loading ramp. The ship has two forward-facing laser blasters under the main wedge shaped-front end, and three landing legs. The cargo area lifts away, while the passenger area roof folds open 90 degrees or so. This ship seats three figures, too. As usual, the Classic Space logo goes on 4 x 2 nose slope piece. There are two of these little helper bots to populate the inside of the cargo bay of Ambassador Jenny's ship. They are identical, and fit nicely in the space if the antenna is folded in front forward when stored inside the ship. (Only one of the two droids is shown here next to Jenny.) Hopefully this will be built at some point in 2020, as soon as I can find funds... but until then, parts are slowly being accumulated from my storage containers. Any thoughts? -
Hey Eurobricks, I have for you today a MOC of the Naboo N-1 Starfighter seen in the prequels. This is the first of 3 Star Wars ship MOCs I will be posting to the forum today. Apologies for the photography and cluttered background. I tried my best but I don't have a great set-up at the location I am now. This is one of the sleekest ships in Star Wars, and I tried my hardest to replicate that quality as best I could without compromising its beautiful shape. As anyone who's tried to design one of these before probably knows, this is a very difficult ship to capture in LEGO, particularly at minifigure scale. After many revisions, this is what I settled on and I think it came out great. To remark on the scale a little bit actually, it is slightly bigger than minifigure scale. I scaled it almost exactly with the astromech droid head on the top, however, so everything is pretty proportional. This was a good strategy because the cockpit shield piece is huge even at this scale (hence why I pained some yellow over it). I also shortened the back by removing about two 2x2 round bricks because, at that point, it was longer than my x-wing and it didn't look right. Our analysts have been working on him for ages, yet the scriptures within this hard drive are encrypted in a code we’ve never seen before. They could be ancient, but we don’t know. That would explain the somewhat erratic behavior of the droid when we first encountered it. IG-828 will certainly pose a challenge, and it is vital for us to uncover his history if we are to work with him further. Fortunately he has been cooperative enough to let us access his memory, however encrypted it is… It could be a trap. It could also be an opportunity… [end_transmission] “ Sir! The droid… it seems to be retrieving a transmission!” exclaimes a bridge officer through the comlink. DT-R65 turns his head towards Coda and Notturno, hinting that they should follow him. The three troopers head down the turbolift of the star destroyer. [location classified] “Do you think we will get any intel on the droid sir?” asks Notterno. “Yes, but it’s hard to say. Only an encryption key will help us reveal the droid's memory bank.. This transmission may be our only chance to discover its true origins... ” replies DT-R65. “We’ll know in just a moment…” smiles Coda. The blast door opens. Dolore and Feroce are waiting at the data center. The droid is sitting on the deck. Wires poor out of its central processing unit. It’s hooked up to the holotable it’s leaned against. The room is dark, apart from lights from the control panels, monitors, and the droid’s head which illuminates the area, alongside with the holotable. A momentary flash of a hologram pops up on the holotable. “What was that?!” asked Coda. They all look and listen intently at the holotable. The flash reappears… only to vanish again as quick as it came. A low pitched scrambled voice emerges from the droid, and a large hologram of the late emperor Palpatine stands on the holotable. The squad stands completely still, in awe, and shock… It was the emperor, prior to his ascendance to power. A young politician stands before them, cloaked and hooded in dark velvet robes. This droid is quite old indeed… The hologram flickers as Palpatine speaks. The speech is scrambled due to the droids security encryption. “This discovery will lead us to places beyond our greatest imagination…” says Notturno, still in awe of what he is seeing. DT-R65’s face darkens as he slightly tilts his head down towards the hologram, keeping his gaze centered on the hologram. His eyes are dark. He tilts his head up again. The blue light reflects off his face. A blue silhouette of palpatine mirrored in his eyes. “Only if we get the encryption key...” replies DT-R65. The hologram fades to blackness. The members of the BRAVURA squad look at each other, absorbing what they have seen. IG-828 begins to scramble again, but this time it’s speaking a language… “Get the computer language analysis to examine this.” says DT-R65. Notturno plugs one of the wires from IG-828 to a control panel. “What are we going to do?” asks Dolore. The translation from the computer pops up on the screen: Region. Mid Rim. Sector Chommell sector. Grid coordinates O-17 43∘06’13”N 88∘19’15”W “We are going to Naboo.” replies Coda. “Save the droid’s databanks, and pack our gear. Coda is right.” adds DT-R65. The squad lands on Naboo with bodypods. The coordinates take them to a large body of water. DT-R65’s pod depressurizes, and he activates his rebreather. The visor of his helmet glows green under the water. He spots the other squad members. The droid is already making its way towards the target. Bubbles burst from IG-828 as he regulates his descent. After a few minutes of swimming, they reach a plateau. A small sphere lay beside it. “Do you see what I’m seeing?” says Coda, a bit ahead of DT-R65 and the rest of BRAVURA squad. As DT-R65 gets closer, the sphere becomes clear. It is heavily corroded. He had been to Gungan city before, when he was a boy. It was one of the most beautiful sights he had seen. This sphere was crooked, ruptured and decayed. The gold that had once covered it had been eroded away by acid surging from the core. As the squad arrives on the plateau, IG-828 stands a bit further from the sphere. Coda takes him for a fool, and goes straight to the dome. There were old canisters of durasteel. A small luminescent light shined vaguely. “IG-R65, have you found anything?” asks DT-R65. The droid turns his head towards the squad. “(Yes.)” it replies. In front of IG-828 lay an ancient relic of a bygone era. A staff with ancient runes, with a hilt at the bottom… It is quite eroded as well, but has been made with such a quality, that it is preserved well enough. Well enough that an experienced high ranking imperial officer would recognize it from his days in the old empire. DT-R65 had seen holoimages of such an item on one of his missions to the emperor's observatories located on Pillio… “This cannot be any ordinary weapon.” says DT-R65. “(It is a sith lightsaber pike…)” says the droid...

Here, the clones are trying to scale a rock face with the hope of ambushing a droid camp near some ruins. Meanwhile, the Separatists are inspecting the ruins, with the help of a local archaeologist. Been toying around with other themes for a bit, so I've not really made any Star Wars MOCs in a while, but I built this to get back into it. Tried some different rock and water techniques with it, as well as attempting an (admittedly pretty simple) cheese slope floor design for part of the ruins. Overall though, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Years ago I shared this build - The updated build is a complete rip-apart and rebuild of that one, save the engines which are nearly the same. I've abandoned the System-scale 'must fit minifigs' into my current builds, especially for such a swoopy, curve-heavy shape of a ship. Instead, I tried getting the overall shape as close as possible, without worrying about throwing heaps of parts at it. The result is a build that is what, about 250-300 parts? For your limited budget. It is GREAT to get this ship on the shelf. You can't have a complete Phantom Menace without it. I don't have instructions for this but I think you can see from the bottom and top there's nothing too fancy. And maybe there are some angles where I can make better choices. But I can't figure out what to do about the windscreen. There doesn't seem to be an appropriate transparent part at this scale and I'm not feeling using 1x2 grill plates. So for now the viewport is... not there. A down side (besides having no interior) to this scale is that it doesn't scale well with existing system scale N-1 starfighters, which are about the same size.. Lots of fans love this iconic ship. It's time for Lego to make one at or around the $100-$150 mark.

These sources of information, although far from loyal, served as valuable assets, particularly in the new chaotic and unpredictable post Imperial period. One such informant was a Spice Trader, Tak Fordo, who had taken up residence on Naboo following the fall of the Empire. In an attempt to reconnect with other wayward Imperials, Screed felt the homeworld of the slain Emperor was a good place to begin his search. However, upon making contact with Fordo, he quickly learned that not only was this search going to be more difficult than he had originally believed, but his efforts under the Empire had not gone unnoticed and the New Republic had put a decent bounty on his head. As he watched the blue and green planet of Naboo shrinking into the distance, a memory of an imprisoned defector from the time of the empire came back to him. His pilot asked “Where to, Captain?” Screed replied “Coruscant.”

ARC-988 also known as Loot deserted the Grand Army of the Republic, after a small skirmish on Naboo. His squad was tasked, to seek and destroy any remaining Trade Federation laboratory on the planet. In. 21BBY another laboratory was destroyed, but during the process, Tau squad was killed, and only Loot survived. Thanks to the natives, his health was restored. He now lives on Naboo, hiding both from the Separatists and the Republic, scavenging and looting from battlefields and trading them, with the locals. In this model are two main scenes of the first episode. On one side you see young Anakin screwing his Pod Racer on Tatooine. This ship is an old favourite of mine, along with Anakin's Podracer they represent the geeky peak of my youth! Having a go at this in midi-scale was a lot of fun, the ship came together really quickly and going bigger than micro meant being able to explore lots of ways to do the curvy body. It's turned out to be a simple little build that is about 2/3 the length of the last set by Lego and hopefully just as sturdy. I started this one with the cockpit and droid socket area, a pilot can sit inside but it's a tight fit, their arms will have to be touching the controls at exactly the right angle and their hands need to be upside down. I've managed to squeeze in controls and a single instrument along with some seat padding, the pilot will be sitting on the floor which is the plate running along the bottom of the ship. The sides of the ship were the most interesting part of putting this together, getting them connected so they rest in position and don't move was tricky. I have to admit that I stole the engine construction from the 2015 Naboo Starfighter set 75092, the designers have definitely come up with the best method there is and it's a very strong and cheap solution too. Finally, there's a simple and cheap stand to display the starfighter, at a bookshelf-friendly angle. I had the idea for this on the 1st of May and hammered away at it for two days to get it finished for the 4th, there's nothing like leaving your homework until the last minute, right? I am working on a Mandalorian version, making slow progress but I'll have it done at some point. The N-1 is a compact 27.2cm long, 20.8cm wide and weighs about 200g, overall its about 2/3 the size of the 2015 N-1 set. Free instructions are on Rebrickable, I used the most common parts I could to keep the cost down, for the 259 pieces it will cost about £25 but adding a printed droid head will be extra. I finished this one a little while ago and have made a few minor updates to more closely match the build of my Mando version (posted later). Man: Greetings gentlemen, I am Mel Wespa. May I offer you a drink? Irfew: No, thank you. You have a very nice castle, Is it yours? Wespa: Not really, it is New republicks, we are just stationed here. Irfew: Interesting. I will now give you an offer. I offer you to join the Triumvirate, and make the galaxy great again. You once were a powerfull commander, are you in? Wespa says no without a hesitation, and pulled out a Blaster. Lemrik wanted to grab his, but Wespa shouted that he will shoot. Wespa: You are under arrest, both of you. Transport should be here any minute. Irfew: You can't do this. We are diplomats. Wespa: You would have done the same. Also, you are Imps, and I don't care that I once was an Imp too. Some other, like Eera and Killio, bring here jedi artifacts they find on their travels. Many of them wonder who this jedi once was... From left to right: Reif, a human farmer. Villa Del Balbianello is a lakeside villa in Italy built in 1785 expanding on an existing structure from the 13th century. With later additions added throughout the years such as relics added from an explorer. It was also featured in films such as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and James Bond: Casino Royale (2006). Good afternoon everyone. I would like to show you a MOC made by me 3 years ago, after was designed by LDD. It is the naboo royal starship, seen on Episode I (The Phantom Menace), used by Queen Amidala & company while they were leaving Naboo from the Trade Federation control. Of course, I would dit it with metallic bricks, but they didn't exist that way. I had to made it with grey pieces. I hope you like it! Thanks for watching! Just over a year ago I built a Naboo Starfighter, at the time I couldn't think of anything I wanted to change.. but as is so often the case, time went on and more and more things looked off to me. Then the Battlefront 2 trailer was released (the one heavily featuring Naboo) and I was painfully reminded just how much I like the design of the N-1. This is my rendition of the famous climax of the first prequel. Darth Maul goes to battle Obi Wan and his master, Qui-Gon Jinn. The pictures you see are only a quarter of the room because I don't have enough pieces to finish the moc, I wish I did :) I wanted to try and make this moc the closest I could to the actual room from the movie. Hello everyone, here is my newest MOC, Naboo N1 Royal Starfighter. I did put my best effort to make it as accurate as possible and fully functional as well. The starfighter has the following functions: - The laser cannons can be fired from a button at the bottom of the fighter. - The laser cannons can be fired also by pulling the joystick in the cockpit. - The fighter has a blue proton torpedo that can be launched by pulling a technic axel at the side of the fighter. - The canopy slides open by pressing a hidden button on near the laser cannons. - R2 unit can be removed and there is a secret storage box under the R2 unit containing a blaster and a medpack. I may do them before Christmas when I get the fighter back, it is now being displayed in a local Lego Store called PiiPoo in Helsinki.
