Fate(ful) has smiled on us today, and we now have a list of names, prices, and part-counts for Ninjago’s January 2025 wave! 71823: Kai’s Dragon Spinjitzu / 54 pieces / $10 71824: Sora’s Dragon Spinjitzu / 56 pieces / $10 71826: Dragon Spinjitzu Double Pack / 186 pieces / $20 71827: Zane’s Battle Mech / 92 pieces / $20 71828: Lloyd’s Race Car / 181 pieces / $30 71829: Lloyd’s Forest Dragon / 128 pieces / $20 71830: Kai’s Storm Rider Mech / 333 pieces / $40 71831: Ninja Spinjitzu Temple (4+) / 158 pieces / $40 71833: Ras’ Storm Jet / 510 pieces / $50 71834: Zane’s Ultra Combo Mech / 1187 pieces / $100 71841: Dragonian Storm Village / 305 pieces / $40 It looks like “Dragon Spinjitzu” will be the new gimmick, and possibly a new technique that the Ninja learn in Season 3; Lord Ras survives and continues to be an antagonist (not a surprise, but still a bit of a spoiler), and the villains are storm-themed. Considering that Nokt has blue markings (possibly storm elemental?) and physically resembles the Island Keepers, maybe their species is called “Dragonians” and they (or at least some of them) will return as the villain army in DR S3. 🤔

Deep within a dungeon, a brave party of adventurers face off against a legendary golden armored dragon in an epic boss fight. The arena itself was inspired by a scene from the show Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and was originally intended to be an entry for Brickscalibur, but I ran out of time. Hope you enjoy

I'm with Jang in thinking that the dragon in Kai's Fire Dragon (71701) leaves a lot to be desired. Sure, it's a '4+' set, but even so... Still, I bought the set. For one thing, I like the design of the ninja minifigure, Kai, and the side build. More importantly, I was drawn to the parts for the dragon's head, torso front and legs. They deserved to be part of a much better dragon. So I MOCed this, a hybrid Eastern-Western dragon: It's meant to be an actual dragon, not a mech as Kai's dragon is, I think. What the pictures don't convey well is its size. I didn't set out to create a dragon that was particularly small or large, just a beast that had its parts in proportion. In the end, it came in at 12" (>30cm) long with a wingspan of over 12" (31cm). The wings were inspired by/modded from the phoenix in Flinx's Ultimate Phoenix (70221). The rest is MOC. I don't normally give MOCs names, but I have dubbed this one Redux after the word 'redux' (presented in a new way/revived) as it is just that, a 71701 redux, and also a play on the 'Red' in 'Redux' because of the dragon's dominant colour. Questions? Comments? Quivering at the prospect of being this guy's lunch?

The small white dragon from the polybag 30547 grew up to be a medium sized slender dragon with snow white scales. IMG_20200430_205720 IMG_20200430_210423 This kind lives in the vast realm of the Oni and Dragons. When grown up, they have long serpent like bodies with short hind legs and winged front legs. Most notable feature might be its long spiny tail with a fire red sharp end.The red color is a warning, they are venomous and use the tail ends like stingers. The Dragonhunters used to catch these dragons to harvest its venom... IMG_20200430_211609 ...but because these dragons are vicious fighters, not every hunt is sucessful... Even a Feather Can Tip the Scales A prelude for Book III, Challenge IV Winda knew that her mission was important, but even so she did not like the man riding behind her on Bandea's back. He smelled bad. But Henjin Quilones and, more importantly, Galaria, had commanded her to carry him to his desired location. But he did smell bad, an unwholesome combination of fermented sweat, rancid garlic, and stale wine. Bandea agreed, but she also knew the importance of the mission. The had to save the Queen. What they had to save the Queen from was not as clear, but Winda was willing to do her part to preserve the hard-fought peace that the ascension of Ylspeth had brought to the Guilds. Years of civil wars and bloodshed had come to an end with her coronation, and all of the realms were more prosperous than ever, even if they did not all feel like they were. Winda had sat through more council meetings than she had cared to on Druidham, hearing about this Mitgardian lord's harvest or that Varlyrian lady's vineyard, about villages reborn and cities flourishing. Except for Nocturnus, Historica had never had things so good. And yet there was discontent from east to west, from north to south, even in Avalonia, which was flourishing best of all. Perhaps the years of war had made the Historicans intolerant of peace. Without conflict abroad, they created their own conflict within. Sword hands were itching for something to strike. Dragonriders from Druidham had visited Mitgardia recently, and spoke of the palpable tension in the air, as neighbor looked askance at neighbor and wondered which side he was on. Others reported that Varlyrio was slowly killing itself with assassinations and minor rebellions. Yet each had the freedom to rebel only because the Queen had brought peace and respite from the constant conflicts. As Bandea glided over the thermals, her golden feathers catching the uprising air, Winda saw down below the cliff that her passenger had pointed out. Who was this guy? How was he going to save the Queen? And what were they doing off the coast of Varlyrio? ________________________________________ ................................................................................ My lone entry to the Summer Joust this year. C&C welcome. Just the dragon and passengers:

A while ago i bought the recent Harry Potter set with the Hungarian Horntail in it. The dragon in the set was okay but i felt it could be improved a lot by adding more spikes and details, modifying the legs and make neck and tail a bit longer. IMG_20190909_180651 IMG_20190909_180708 IMG_20190909_180723 The end result is this, a fierce looking Hungarian Horntail that leaves no doubt of being one of the most dangerous dragon breeds. IMG_20190909_180733 IMG_20190909_180759 IMG_20190909_181210 IMG_20190909_181511 IMG_20190909_181526 IMG_20190909_181536 I hope you guys like it, comments are welcome.

I got inspired by the ornamental dragon heads of the "Dragon Boat Race" set and decided to build an asian dragon. The build is rather simple and mostly just consists of a skeleton made from ball joints, on which all other parts are added to shape the creature. More pictures can be found in my album: klick The legs were a fun little idea because i wanted the dragon to have poseable legs, even in this size. Hope you like my creation.

The Frozen Beast I’ve heard tales of dragons guarding treasures. I’ve heard songs of dragons that held knowledge. But the story behind this one, is a little different. Past the ridge of cold mountains, after the forests and bays, there is a mountain that grows beyond sight. Afar the tallest of the trees and over the ceiling of clouds, it breaches the skies and hides its summit behind the vast unknown. The Elders say there is a castle in its peak, from where both Midgard, the land of men, and Asgard, the land of gods can be seen. The legends speak that only at the top of the tallest tower, the gods are prone to hear your prayer. Many have tried to claim the tower and make their way to the hall of the gods, but every time a man proclaims himself its ruler, a beast comes forth to end its reign. Frøstdjur, it was named. The Frozen Beast. White wings, as bright as the sun. Its breath as cold as a thousand winters. If one is worthy enough to hear the voice of the gods, only the beast will tell. No man should enforce himself to the great hall of the gods, for only they know our destiny. Frøstdjur protects this truth and their will, making sure the chosen ones are heard, and the unworthy vanish in the frozen wind. ________ Really hope you like it! For a long time I wanted to build a dragon, and Zane's Titanium Dragon (70748) from Ninjago series was my inspiration. It was a challenge to make it sturdy, but I'm happy the way my creature MOCs are coming to life. This is an entry for the Summer Joust 2020 "The Frozen North" Category. Make sure to check the micro-scale version of this story, Sannhetens Fjell Would love to hear what you all think. Skol! Louis of Valnötsträd

...or, How to build a dragon I know, terrible title pun, but i couldn´t resist. Well, for a while now i have the large rubbery head of an old Ninjago Ice Dragon in my parts collection and i´m planning to build a body for it.I would love to have some basic articulation to it while still being sturdy and not too fragile. It kinda started with the idea of a dragon that can also walk on it´s folded wings (pseudowyvern, like the big Dragons from GoT or like Hookfang from HttyD) but right now it´s more turning into a bird like dragon (walking on two legs and having two wings) Dragon-2 Dragon-3 For now i´m not completely happy with the legs.I would love to have them with 3 joints (ankle, knee and hips). Dragon-1 Dragon-4 Any advice would be much apprechiated. I uploaded the LDD file here: https://bricksafe.com/files/badchriss/Dragon.lxf

Fire Emblem Fates: Corrin (Male, Female, and Dragon)
StudWorks posted a topic in LEGO Action Figures
My 1:12-scale figures of Male Corrin, Female Corrin, and Corrin's dragon form from the Nintendo 3DS game Fire Emblem Fates! Instructions for all three are available on Rebrickable! Corrin is Fire Emblem Fates' main character/avatar, a noble torn between the kingdoms of Nohr and Hoshido. The human figures have authentic articulation with their many joints, plus various details from the game: Yato, Corrin's legendary sword and Omega Yato, the sword's true form. Dragonstone. Shape-shifted dragon head. Dragon fang shot arm with blast. Dragon lance arm. Three changeable facial expressions (normal, smiling, and shouting). Open hands and fists. Adjustable cape and skirt. (Female Corrin also has adjustable hair) A 1x1 plate to raise hip/legs assembly for crouching poses. Posing stand for complicated poses and stability. The stunning brick-built dragon also has authentic articulation: its head, neck, arms, legs, claws, tail, and wings can all be adjusted for posing. For lovers of Fire Emblem and LEGO, my 1:12 scale figures are the perfect, affordable way to show your love for your favorite characters. As most may never be produced in actual action figure form, here's your chance to build your own! Hope you like the figures, more Fire Emblem Fates characters are coming soon!-

Since this year (2024) is the Year of the Dragon in Chinese zodiac, I've been thinking to build a Transformer dragon using official LEGO set. However, I kinda forgotten about this plan until last month! So I scrambled to find the right lego set to start a dragon project. And finally.... this alt MOC is born! This 2-headed dragon transformer is built using only parts from set 31121: Crocodile . And this is my 7th (Yes, SEVENTH) Transformer made using the said set. Seasoned G1 Transformers fans might recognise this MOC as Hung-grr, a Decepticon from teamTerrorcons that turned into similar alternate mode. Noticed the tan colored triangular parts below his necks. THey're important to stabilize the heavy necks and heads from sagging. ROBOT MODE As always..transformation between modes doesn't require reassembly of parts. More photos in my blog link below https://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2024/12/video-tutorial-transformers-two-headed.html VIDEO TUTORIAL LAST WORDS.. I'm not done with dragons yet! I'm anxiously waiting for next year's LEGO Creator Dragon to build another Dragon Transformer from.!.

*** In the mystical realm of Thyndros, the Wizard of Light and the Wizard of Dark were once brothers, bound by blood and magic. Their harmony shattered when the Wizard of Dark, seduced by the whispers of an ancient evil, sought to harness forbidden spells to dominate the world. The Wizard of Light, devoted to preserving peace, opposed his brother's dark ambitions. This clash of ideals sparked a war that tore the land apart. The black dragon, Valkhoros, was summoned by the Wizard of Dark from the depths of the Abyss. With eyes that glowed like molten lava and wings that blotted out the sun, Valkhoros became the harbinger of doom, spreading fear and destruction in the name of his dark master. *** Hello, the dragon is back! A few improvements have been made from the previous series, such as a modified tree with a bit more of a fantasy feel and a more fitting colour scheme, and the underside of the wings have been given a red support to make the dragon a bit more interesting. You can support it in the Bricklink Designer Program Series 7 by voting and commenting: https://www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-7/2514/Dragon-Attack My love for the dark creatures of fantasy movies inspired me to design a black dragon to Bricklink Designer Program Series. It is not actually based on an existing character, I studied some cool AI generated pictures and some cool dragon head builds, but I built something brand new. My intent was to create a poseable animal instead of a static statue and added a small tower and two wizards to the set for more playability options. The Wizard of Light has a staff and a crystal ball. The rear of the tower is removable to make the interior space accessible, and the door works as well. I prefer the brick built solutions to keep the flexibility of the used parts in further builds, and therefore only two stickes are used for the dragon eyes and they are based on the printed part 98138pb386 which is not available in this series. Dimensions of the dragon (as it is shown on the main picture): Width: 71.0 studs / 22.4 in / 56.8 cm Length: 67.5 studs / 21.3 in / 54.0 cm Height: 44.8 studs / 14.1 in / 35.8 cm Some rotation joints can only be stable in certain positions, for example the tail end must rest on the ground. I hope you enjoy this set. Many thanks for your support and feedback! Thank for visiting, _TLG_

Megatron turned into a winged dragon in Transformer Beast Wars series , shown back in the 1990s. Now , you can build one on your own, using only the parts from LEGO Creator set 31150: Wild Safari Animals! I was planning to build a Dragon Transformer in Year of the Dragon (2024). But I guess better late than never :) In my creation here, transformation between dragon and robot mode doesn't require reassembly of parts. ROBOT MODE VIDEO..! BUILDING INSTRUCTIONS! Well.... for every other Transformers I built using LEGO set 31150 so far, free building instructions /tutorials are provided. For this Dragon Megatron, you may visit my rebrickable page to purchase the building instructions (link below). THank you for your support !! https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-210506/alanyuppie/transformer-megatron-dragon-beast-wars-using-lego-creator-31150/#details

LEGO set 31161: Medieval Dragon is a brand new set released this year. And it totally blew me away when it comes to the parts inside this set. From the outside, the dragon mode might seemed to be pretty sleek and all. But internally..... the limbs and and tail are powered by a bunch of ball joints. The set above will be my main focus to build many, many Transformers in the coming months. And to start the ball rolling..... building tutorial will be free for this first one, and every other TFs I made using this set. ABOUT HUNG-GRR Hung-grr is the leader of team Terrorcon from G1 Transformers cartoon series, turning into a 2-headed dragon. He formed the body of combiner Abominus with his other 4 team members. For my first attempt in building Transformers using a specific LEGO set , I will keep it simple. It's an exercise to endear myself to the parts provided from that set and it's future potential of alternate modes. So Hung-grr was chosen simply because transformation to his dragon mode was simple for the lower half of the robot ! However..... my creation here will not have combiner ability because I am not too keen on the rest of the terrorcon members. four heads are better than two! VIDEO TUTORIAL! Note that the step-by-step tutorial in video above is complete, EXCEPT for the robot head and dragon front legs. They're quite easy to build simply by staring at the photos long enough. This is a special mini challenge to improve your observational and building skill !! You (and your kids) will thank me! Alternatively..... you can buy the complete building instructions in PDF document format via my rebrickable.com page (link below) https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-212995/alanyuppie/transformer-two-headed-dragon-hung-grr-lego-31161-alternate-creation/#details Thanks for the support !!

Hello, the dragon is back, and this is its final chance to be selected as a finalist in the BDP Series! To highlight the dragon as the set's centerpiece, I cut the tower and white wizard, significantly reducing the element count. As a LEGO dragon fan, I had been eyeing up Ninjago set 71829 Lloyd's Green Forest Dragon for a while but hadn't pulled the trigger when a friend bought it for me as a surprise gift. The reason for not getting it myself was that there were features of the dragon that bothered me. I'm not particularly into Ninjago so was seeking a more generic green dragon, e.g. a quadruped, not a biped, and one that was better proportioned (the wings are very large compared to the body). When the set recently went on sale at a retailer where I have loyalty points, I couldn't resist the urge to get a second dragon and combine them. The resulting dragon is very much more to my liking. I set myself the following requirements: Quadrupedal dragon More proportional overall More posable/better articulation More greebling/more organic looking More generic fantasy/not specifically Ninjago Not designed to be ridden Smallest possible number of additional pieces, i.e. parts not from two 71829s In the end, I only used four additional parts: two 6043656 and two 6039479. This is what I came up with. What do you think?

Hvitdreki, the white dragon I remember the first time I saw him. It was a crisp morning, the kind that makes your breath fog in front of you. I had wandered beyond the familiar woods, drawn by an unexplainable urge, a chanting of the gods. I crested a hill and there was a clearing. Shimmering in the sunlight, blending with the snow and the ice. Its scales glistened, each one catching the light in a dazzling display. A misinterpreted beast. How could such a beautiful creature cause such caos and distress? My heart raced with a mix of fear and awe. I was gazing upon a legend, a living embodiment of the myths our elders spoke of by the fire. Hvitdreki, the white dragon. Silently, I left, hiding in the shadows, to remember this day for all days to come. What I didn’t know was that we would meet again. But that is a tale for another night. ______________ Louis of Nutwood Hope you like it. Let me know what you think.
