  1. Huzzah! Hats off to everyone for making this place so much fun
  2. Either way, such a shame that yet another excellent theme fails in the wake of branded competition from in-house. For the second straight year I've found myself scooping up the flagship set of a SciFi theme I initially had no intent on getting into... But the quality of design, parts and figs were just too excellent to pass up on the Galactic Titan. Still on the fence of whether or not it's a better set than the ADU Earth Defence HQ, but for 30% off it was a no-brainer. Wonderful set, wonderful theme.
  3. TRU-- 60026 Town Square for $74.99. I've been researching this stuff, and will give a more detailed post when I get the chance. Happy hunting!
  4. What we'll get: Cyclops, Wolverine w/ mask, Storm, Gambit, maybe Jean Grey and/or Prof. X. What I want: Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, COLOSSUS!!, Nightcrawler, Beast, Shadowcat
  5. I once hid from a crooked dock worker disguised as a ghost in a bog by submerging myself completely underwater except for one minifig head, which I used as a snorkel. True story. Or wait, did I see that on Scooby-Doo?!
  6. I have so many favorites, but if I have to pick one, it's not even close. BLACK FALCONS FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Okay, friends, I'm starting to plan out the 'Black Friday' and Christmas spending, and quite skimpily, it boils down to: 60026 TOWN SQUARE or 70709 GALACTIC TITAN?
  8. Awesome!!! I would love an MF tag-- werewolf sounds great but I'll take whatever you got. Thanks!!
  9. Couldn't everyone who made a Spooky Avatar receive a tag for their efforts?! There were so many great ones, it seems a shame that so many will go unrewarded at the hand of a random draw. Also, nice job on the whole promotion, Peppermint!! Seems like a mountain of work, but we all enjoyed it!
  10. Videos are very well done-- too accomplished to just be a YouTube promotional piece. IE this thing has a good chance of showing up as a D2C retail video. {SNIFF SNIFF}. What's that I smell? An exclusive figure?!
  11. Man, you think the rest of society thought we AFOLs were weird to begin with... Wait'll they see this movie!!
  12. Really well done!! I might suggest you change out the hair of the warriors from Mohawks to black female/long hair molds for historical accuracy, but otherwise it's a beautiful & incredibly detailed creation.
  13. The more I look at them, the more I wonder if the hairpiece on that 'Fusebot' pioneer-looking guy is actually... A COONSKIN CAP? If it's just his hair, why is it the same color as the beard?
  14. Wow, I never realized how small that Bat-Copter was. It can't be much longer than the Joker's in the BatWing set. We can also now confirm that Batman has a new head print in the Penguin set, with a respirator and blue eyes. Very nice.
  15. Actually found one on Amazon for only $10 this week. For 115 pieces & 2 minifigs with some unique accessories, THE PRICE WAS RIGHT. Nice little set, very sturdy structure.
  16. I LOVE THE NEW SPIDER-MAN TRIKE!!!!!! ONE OF THE SICKEST VEHICLES LEGO HAS EVER DESIGNED!!!!!! ...Okay, do I get my 'treat' now?! :) Happy Halloween!
  17. So, by February, my BatCave will have 2 Batmobiles, 2 BatCycles, a Redbird Cycle, a BatBoat, a BatSki, a BatSubmersible, 2 BatWings, a BatCopter, and a Bat. Bruce Wayne has gotta find better ways to spend all that money. Maybe he should become an AFOL?!! ;)
  18. Wow... I could very well see myself legitimately skipping the entire sub-theme.
  19. They all look pretty good... But for me the clear-cut standout set is the Car Transporter. Well done!!! I'm also very impressed with the Logging Truck, and although I have little need for it, the big Tow Truck is a brilliant design as well. Also, it certainly doesn't appear that the "Short Order Cook" minifig is included with that camper. Looks like a solid red cap and plain blue legs. Hmmmmm....
  20. Aaaaahhh! They've got me! Is this the end of our stalwart hero, Mr. Elijah Timms??! http://i41.tinypic.com/nz0pk8.jpg
  21. I'll forego the argument altogether regarding whether or not TLG has the right to produce sets licensed from the Sony Marvel brands. But In terms of costume design alone, I just don't think an X-Men DOFP movie set would be very marketable. It'll be dark, bland, almost apocalyptic... A comic-based set, on the other hand, would just pop off the box and certainly be more appealing to kids & AFOLs alike. Comic set's a no-brainer... Just give us about 5-6 X-Men and a brick-built Sentinel and we've got a classis set on our hands.
  22. Ridiculous. We get all these great resources by reading EuroBricks & interacting with the EB community, and pay not a cent. The only thing asked of us is that we respect the wishes of the staff. If you don't like it, I say go read another site. Personally I frequently get more annoyed by posters who attempt to assert their own level of authority without being granted official status as part of the staff... But all this fuss is just silly. Keep up the good work Cornelius!
  23. Wow... Marvel stuff sounds very underwhelming. Unless the 'girlfriend' in question is Black Cat, I couldn't possibly see a reason to pick up that Helicopter set. That Green Goblin could not interest me less. Even more astounding is the fact that we're getting yet another DOC OCK. Sure, the first one was lousy, but with such an incredible Rogues Gallery as Spider-Man's, why him? Mysterio, the Vulture, Rhino, the Shocker, Kraven...ahh who am I kidding, REALLY wish it was Mysterio!
  24. I actually brought this up in the 2013 thread several days, feared this would be the wrong thread. Jump over there if you'd like my take on the Redbird Cycle.
  25. Great stuff... Anyone else notice how different the Electro mask looks compared to the comics? Aside from the X-Men, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Black Panther!!
