  1. Thanks for making instructions for this cute little model. I've downloaded them and I'm going to see if I can use Control+ as I don't have a Buwizz. Is the new chassis change just colours? I'm going to have to make some substitutions anyway.
  2. Gentle thread bump, is there a mods thread for this set? I've searched but can't find one.
  3. Can't help with the Hydrogen situation but I see this is not a cheap part, £40 or thereabouts. I'd be cautious of anything I thought might damage it permanently so for paint have you considered plasti-dip? You can usually peel it off after painting.
  4. @jainser Any chance of pics? I'd be interested to see where you were starting from and how you work as I have a few similar boxes.
  5. Do you know what all the sets are? If not post pictures of the chunks you currently have and people will easily identify them. In my experience it can be better to sort by type. It's easier to find that LBG 3L bar in a box of other colour bars than in a box of LBG everything.
  6. Not only have I returned from Germany but I have also returned to Eurobricks! Thanks to everyone for the info. For anyone coming across this thread in the future don't worry, driving in Germany is nicer than the UK. The roads are better maintained and standards seem generally higher. Note that people don't indicate until they are leaving roundabouts, so no signal means give way. We did find a bit of derestricted Autobahn in our rented Clio, and when you check your mirrors before an overtake bear in mind that tiny tiny car you see a mile back may catch up quicker than you think.
  7. I don't usually wander into the train forums but I thoroughly enjoyed your description of the build process and various iterations as it is something we all go through if we MOC. After all that does your 6 year old appreciate the accuracy or do they just like the big train?
  8. Yep, I bought a new 42145 and built the helicopter first. 42145 is one of the best Technic sets I've built in a while, lots of gears and interesting linkages and actually very realistic in terms of function
  9. PEW PEW! It's a big beast when it's built, it won't fit my display cabinet so I'm thinking about hanging it from the ceiling with some fishing line. This was a challenging build but never annoying and I'm still amazed that it is from a single set. Well done!
  10. Is the black part on the end a 2L axle connector? I thought they had a stop in the middle which would stop a bar going through.
  11. Hello to all the European members from a former European (but enough about Brexit ) The family and I are heading to Germany next week and plan to hire a car for some trips around. Apart from driving on the wrong side is there anything the locals all know that us foreigners could benefit from? We'll be in the Black Forest area.
  12. I'm not familiar with the real thing (I'm more Hotshot/Boomerang era) but I very much like that fake 540 motor at the back
  13. Are you using an image hosting site like Bricksafe or Flickr? I prefer bricksafe myself. It's easy to use and easy to link to. Eurobricks doesn't host images, the small amount you get is for avatars or signatures. There are some tips in this thread if you can wade through 11 pages
  14. Is there any mileage in using skeleton arms as links?
  15. Nothing to add (except I'm also looking at good value 3d printers) but I do like the idea of an adorable printer
  16. I have just bought a 42145 purely to build this (but I might build the helicopter just once first)
  17. That's good work right there I'm tempted to pick up the airbus just to make this, are there any compromises you had to make to keep it a strict B model? Is there anything you'd change with just a few extra parts?
  18. @howitzer Cheers for that, easy when you know how Motors are a bit pricy at the moment but I've picked them up before when they've been on sale.
  19. Quick question, does anyone know the correct search term for powered up motors on pick a brick? I've tried obvious stuff like "powered" "motor" or "control" but I don't get any hits. Are motors and hubs actually available to buy separately from Lego?
  20. Hi. Eurobricks doesn't host pictures, the 20kb is for signatures which live at the bottom of your posts. You need to use an image hosting site such as Flickr, Brickshelf, or Bricksafe. I use bricksafe myself as I find it more user friendly than Flickr. You then paste the link to the picture and the forum displays it. Here's a random picture of some technic from my bricksafe
  21. Very cool, I love the parking bays on the top level. I couldn't figure out the bus stop as I thought it was 4865 1x2x1 panel but I guess it's actually 4864 1x2x2 panel. There must be some crazy stuff going on inside What made you suddenly decide to make a tiny car park?
  22. I have printed parts from my youth in the 80s that still look OK today. I have stickered parts from building with my child in the 2000s that are cracked and flaked. Thats why I don't put stickers on any of my technic sets. I have 6 models built for display and only 1 (10300) was supplied with stickers. I obtained printed replacements before I even started building as I wanted it to stay looking good. Not official but also printed!
  23. Tall and thin is what you want. In the Lego store they filled a vase with transparent clear and light blue 1x1 round plates which looked pretty cool too.
  24. Anyone else notice the spacemen come in alternate bags so you don't get all the excitement in one hit? I promised myself I'd only build the first 2 bags tonight but the urge to open bag 3 just for the white astronaut was strong!
  25. Do you have any pics of the car you want to replicate? I had a look at the DP Motorsport site but couldn't see a blue one. For me I always think of these in Martini colours When you say "out of 12095" do you intend to use it as a base for a MOC (with added parts) or are you attempting a B model (only set parts)? Either way the sensible start would be digitally with something like Stud.io
