  1. Ha... I found one who happily FedEx'd it to me. Nice chap that he is. I'm lining up other friends on Facebook to do the same for future boxes now!
  2. It seems to be the same set up as the existing one. One SuperHeroes, one Chima, one Ninjago and one City figure. For those that live in the US Target were offering free postage from their site on the last cube. I ordered one and had it shipped to a friend... he shipped it to me... happily the arm joint was perfect as was the rest of the print.
  3. That Whiplash is a copy of the Christo figure. I've got all of those figures except Crossbones so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that at least that one has a decent torso and head print. With Superboy, Lightning Lad and Trickster getting figures (as well as Plastic Man and Batzarro obviously) the range of DC figures (along with the new winter wave) has really grown... we also know we're getting a summer save too. This will really start to fill up the roster of characters. As an answer to the Bootleggers I think it's great... whether they've looked at the bootleg figures (or at least those not produced by TLG) as a success with fans and therefore have decided to up their game I'm not sure... it'll give the bootleggers a lot of material to copy (which I'm sure they will) but at least Lego are making it possible to pick these figures up. DVD and polybag releases aren't that hard to track down and once the initial flurry is gone the prices to go to normal levels... that's how I got Plastic Man and Rocket anyway as well as the Superboy figure in the box. If the Lightning Lad is a figure in another US exclusive box then I'll have to get one shipped to a friend in the US to have it shipped to me in the UK again... hopefully this will be a European exclusive... maybe TRU over here or similar?
  4. I ordered one from the Target website and had it sent to a friend in the US. They shipped it over to me. All in all it still cost me around £14 for the box.
  5. Black Symbiote is just Venom with a custom head (NACM do a nice pad printed one)... He's easy... Spiderwoman and 2011 Batman are still missing amazingly!
  6. That's the thing about SDCC figures I've never really got. I understand that there are people that won't like bootlegs at all... and that's fine. But the SDCC figure market is dictated not by Lego fans... but by scalpers... It's a raffle (if done legit but it's funny how some resellers get so many) so the distribution is arbitrary. If customisers or bootleggers for that matter can make a figure that's 95% of the official one then it's fair game for me. Phoenix Customs will soon have a Collector figure out and it's actually lightly more accurate than the official SDCC version if you ask me... and came in at around £20. Making the figures non-exclusives would hurt noone other than the profiteers so I simply don't see the point in them anymore.
  7. I've neve felt compelled to pick any big Echo Base sets up as I've never felt they captured it too well. I'm very interested in a large set if they get it right but I agree that Bespin and Dagobah are strangely ignored for now.
  8. Not this time round... I picked up the whole of the last war at half price. On another note... Just been to JohnLewis in Liverpool and they have Series 13 figures in. The Entertainer actually had 2 boxes of Simpsons still in!
  9. If it's got a late Feb release for VIP members then I'd assume a reveal will be sometime soon... Maybe early January? The more I think about it the more I think it'll be like the SSD from Star Wars... More of a display model with some token figures that may have a bridge area to 'play' in. That small 'leak' image from the Designers videos shows what looks like a micro Quinjet with it... As a play set that would look way off... Kind of ties in with us getting system scale Quinjet too.
  10. Unless he's in white in which case it'll be the older OT version from DS1
  11. The release dates for these have always been January 1st. If a particular retailer decided to sell them early that's up to them but any mention of the 26th was (I think) just from a member here and wasn't remotely official. Some people will be able to buy them and some people will have to wait another 6 days. Personally, I'm waiting for 5th January for the double VIP points. Good things come to those who wait.
  12. Agreed that they'll be terrible... Whatever they are. Fingers crossed that it'll be the thing that jogs Decool and SY into them as previously mentioned. Damn you, Dargo and your rubbish moulds and print!
  13. Juniors Batcave can be had for closer to £20 in places and that has a unique Bats as well as Robin and the Joker so he doesn't have to be expensive. As much as I don't like just jumping on a set name then adding a wish list of figures I'm hoping that some kind of base for the Joker takes a bit more of a New 52 angle... the slick back Bruce Wayne hair but in green would be great... and to have a New 52 Harley to side with the Joker would be ideal... If that's the case then adding in a New 52 Catwoman as an ally to Bats would just be the cherry on the cake! I'm definitely thinking that any new Bats water set would have Killer Croc.
  14. Fett trolling at it's finest! ;)
  15. He looks better than the SDCC version to me! Glad I ordered one when the pre-sale was available!
  16. The majority of people who go into a Lego store (or other store) to buy Lego at Christmas aren't sitting on Lego forums to see what the next wave will hold and when it will be released. There's nothing telling people that in just a couple of weeks there's a whole new wave of toys coming out... so they use the usual Christmas spend on clearing out the last of the old stock and then put the new stuff out. Even the kids that get the stuff (and as it's aimed at kids we can safely assume the majority of it is heading that way) are happy that they're getting the CURRENT wave of Lego toys. Lego doesn't put out leaflets or magazines showing what'll be available for the NEXT wave... they just promote what's on the shelves while they're there. They know that people like us will buy the stuff in January anyway... or whenever each wave comes out. They don't need to put out new product in time for the festive season so they don't. It's more down to the impatience of people wanting stuff now.
  17. That's the SDCC Warbird they've copied.... and the polybag rocket to go with it. Are they Decool or SY?
  18. I think SDCC has so many people in a fluster about what figures will get released as exclusives. Rocket never was an exclusive... it was just in a mini build... same as Bard was never listed as exclusive so we were kind of expecting him to appear. Customisers and bootleggers have given us pretty much all of the SDCC exclusives in excellent quality so I don't worry too much about what figures will appear now as we'll have something almost identical at a reasonable cost just around the corner. There's a custom of the game version of Winter Soldier with printed chrome arm which looks great as it is so a MCU version would be a fantastic polybag. A WS promo figure really focuses the mind on what kind of mini figure arrangement can be in the Hellicarrier
  19. Pretty much all Star Wars names are rubbish in isolation... Sky Walker as the hero... Solo as the loner... really?! Chewbacca just seems like an abbreviated 'Chewing Tobacco'! Don't get me started on Grievous and Sidious... or Jango!! Porkins for the fat fighter pilot anyone?! I never thought about names as a kid as I just believed in their characters... in the story. There's so much misdirection with all of the rumours etc that it'd be better to take it all with a pinch of salt and not take too much notice of it. If Abrams and Disney are as concerned about the lack of leaks as we understand they are then there's a good chance they'll throw a load of this kind of misdirection in to counter any loose lips from staff no longer under contract at any point before release.
  20. There are several places around Liverpool I've still seen Simpsons and Series 11 figures... can't say I've seen series 13 anywhere yet though.
  21. The bigfigs don't normally come with any leaflets... it's just the regular figures that have the leaflets in.
  22. There's an 80 page thread over in community about these as I'm sure you're aware. I was under the impression that as these aren't Lego then threads relating will be moved out of the main discussion areas. We know some people hate them... Some ignore them... Some like the unique figures not produced by Lego and some pick them all up regardless.
  23. The side area with the wing pivot beams are the most obvious area of 75060 that needs modding. It's always been the one part that's really stood out as wrong to me... although I think the shaping of the skirt is something that's grown on me. Whether it's down to the scaling of the UCS version to 8097 or Anio's version but the smoothness of the shape is clearer in both of the smaller versions... whether that's something where the scale of 75060 has brought about a certain limitation top how well this can be achieved I'm not sure. I think even 10179 can be modded to make it 'more accurate' so I'm full expecting some tweaking to make this version work a little better. Like Lobot said... on the whole for what I've seen of this model so far I'll be picking it up on the 5th... then seeing where it goes from there.
