  1. My sister got back from Vegas yesterday and brought my daughter the 2015 calendar.... I see there's a voucher to pick up the Han Solo Hoth Promo fig with any SW purchase through February. I know they're also doing Jor El on any purchases of DC stuff to the end of this year... Looks like there was quite a bit of stock left over!
  2. It's been £70 on Amazon UK for around the past week or so
  3. Digger's review of the Decool set is up. The print on the ZEA is more accurate than SY as it has the Batradia on the reverse. Same as the back print for Batman Begins suit.
  4. Yep... I've read that method works well but I don't own a soldering iron so pliers and arm strength it is! ;)
  5. Just like Peter 'Denarian Saal' Serafinowicz did as Darth Maul
  6. Digger has the Decool set and the SY GOTG set so a review should be up tonight or tmorrow!
  7. Not only buy them... but some people will even pick up several of them to hoard in the hope of another 10179 Falcon. $350 is around £235-£240... that's less than the 75059 Sandcrawler was in the UK.
  8. That's a fair point... Just pull the keychain pin out of the top of the head with some pliers... some brute force should do it cleanly enough (it's always worked for me). That way you can remove the head and even replace the headpiece if you so desire... you'll just have the legs glued to the torso!
  9. Put them in the bin? Give them to a child who likes Lego but maybe can't afford the sets?
  10. Well if it's with ANY purchase it's worth just picking up the cheapest set for $12 or whatever and getting one.
  11. Mine has been on it's way to me for around a week now so I'll post it when I get them... along with a comparison with the actual figures for each one (ZEA will just be against the SY version and Batman Begins will be against both the SY and official Lego).
  12. For me the question would be what the figures were and how they were listed. If they were 'bootleg' were they listed in the Lego section? Were they clones of existing Lego figures or just minifigures of a different theme such as SWAT etc? Ultimately it's down to how much it's going to cost for you to return them against how much you paid. If they were listed as Lego and you didn't get what you actually paid for then it's really a shame that you'll be even a penny out of pocket in returning them.
  13. There's also currently both system scale and UCS scale sets for that other iconic SW ship, the X-Wing. There's also a Tumbler in system scale as well as a very large UCS black version for SuperHeroes. I think if there's any ship in the SW universe that can handle both being on the shelves at the same time it's the Falcon. Besides... IF (and it's still a relatively big if) they want to put out one in promotion of Ep VII they won't just rely on a 5yr old version with old branding on the box... That's assuming 7965 will still be available then.
  14. It certainly looks more red in colour. I copied Agoodfella's minifig Juggernaut and still think it looks great but the bigfigs all seem to be from the games so it's ice to get these... Al least they're not just random designs plucked out of the ether. If nothing else they're giving people what they want... I've said it before that if a bootlegger just made game design figs they'd do very well indeed!
  15. I'll wait and see until I get the SY Groot in my hands to see just what the execution is like before commenting. I still think it'll be about as good as we could have hoped but time will tell. The bigfigs looks like they're copied from Warsman who is a member here: There's a link to his figures... He also did the Hulkbuster and Venom. Who knows what other figures of his that Decool will copy from his feed. It's a shame... He won't get any financial reward for his work from these bootlegged versions but he should at least get the credit for the physical creations. I don't have the games so I'm not sure if the designs are taken from there or not but either way he should at least get a mention.
  16. They've been around for quite a while actually... The Goblin King actually doesn't look too bad from what I've seen but I don't know if anyone has bought one for a proper comparison or if Digger has reviewed them on Youtube.
  17. The mystery fig is always just Decools way of saying there'll be another wave coming. There's not normally a mystery fig for the wave as it implies. Yeah... Those £50 for a custom bigfig days seem to be long gone.
  18. I think it's only a matter of time before we get a Colossus. All of these figures are copies of a custom bigfig maker and the Rhino and Juggernaut just confirm this.
  19. Sometimes a large enough scale is good enough to draw praise by itself but this has both scale and detail in abundance... Seriously... this thing is huge. I don't think pictures are really going to do this justice and it probably has to be seen in person to take it all in. Just a superb build... I can see where three years went!
  20. For a build that's 6 yrs old this still holds up as a fantastic MOC and captures the steam punk vibe perfectly. There's a real opulence about it with so much going on... you really get a sense of how the ship is powered with the balloons and the chimney stacks. I missed this the first time round but it's a joy to finally see!
  21. Luke Cage head and black legs will only cost around £1 from Bricklink. That torso actually doesn't look too bad. A new head and hair on DP and she ow;don't look too bad... shame about the slightly iff leg print. I'd almost be tempted to mask that area off and paint the yellow on.
  22. I've already got both official Lego Magneto figures plus a Days of Future Past custom (original Lego pieces used) but thanks anyway. I think the Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds section might actually be the best place for your post though. ;)
  23. ^Yep... pretty much that! Sebiron has done really well on those. Now we just need Lego to do it officially!
  24. Yeah... I've always been under the impression that the Winter wave hits on 1st January although some stores will have their stock in before Christmas day... just that it's kept back of store. I do recall some lucky people saying that the odd sets have found their way to shelf before that due to the stock on the shelves emptying of the old sets... so there was shelf space... but I wouldn't hold out hope. My Lego store in Liverpool certainly doesn't do early releases of things. Other themes have different dates for release (UK/Europe gets SW much earlier than US but it's the other way round for LOTR/Hobbit)... I'm not sure about the SH line in general.
  25. The fact that the AT-ST now walks underneath it comfortably gives it a much better scale and the added height of the treehouses balances well with the extra height of the trees themselves. I'd probably have to agree with the above comment though... with all that extra build the platform does look a little bare... not much... but something to bring it inline with the rest of the build. That scaling really lends itself to the celebration party at the end of ROTJ with rebel pilots aplenty on the platform...
