  1. Me too. It's an exciting time in the SuperHeroes line and the range of figures available in the sets now is great. It certainly looks like we'll be treated to some very interesting sets in 2015 and Jokerland is something I'm already looking forward to. The UK is quite a small place and once sets start to hit shelves then that's a generally good sign that they're available nationwide... Which also sets a good indication that the rest of mainland Europe will also follow that pattern. While there was actually a small amount of doubt that sets would be available it was a small matter of putting those fears to rest and maybe informing those that a trip to a Lego store would be fruitful today.
  2. Theres a big difference in the shape of the Death Star and the Hellicarrier. A large circular shape allows several rooms... Try getting that kind of depth in a long flat shape. The SSD is closer to that kind of shape and has room for a 'interior bridge'... Not the range of rooms and play features people are asking for here.
  3. I think the reason for stating that the sets are available is quite simple. We've had hissy fits that sets weren't available early... Near orgasms when some people managed to pick one or two up and then emails from Lego to European members saying the sets might not be sold here. While that email was obviously an error, simply telling people that they're now available at retail is far more on topic than any 'I hope we get...' comments that populate the thread based on the slightest bit of info on the summer wave. Maybe giving some news to European members of EURObricks might seem pointless to some I'd have thought that actual news of '2015 sets' in the '2015 set discussion' would be worthwhile... Especially after 4 pages of 'My Target has some'... 'Oh why doesn't mine?!?!?!... 'My TRU had some'.., 'Scan me the receipt or I'll explode'...
  4. GL is £19.99, Brainiac is £24.99, Black Manta and Grodd sets are £49.99 and I think the Javelin was £59.99
  5. GL was £19.99, Brainiac was £24.99, Grodd and Manta were £49.99 and I think the Javelin was £59.99
  6. That was the thing for me... I didn't intend to get it until 5th but very few left in shop already so didn't want to risk it!
  7. Yeah.., I only picked up the GL set this morning but Grodd, Javelin, Brainiac and Black Manta sets were all there.
  8. I've now picked mine up from the Lego store in Liverpool. Didn't intend to get it until Monday but they had three left and one of those boxes was damaged. They now have two left and one of those boxes is damaged! No point in hanging around for double points if the thing you want isn't in stock. Looking forward to starting the build later today... Then trying to mod those side arches for the wing support!
  9. Just popped into the Liverpool Store and there's quite a few sets marked down by 20% or so... Probably same as the site.
  10. Bugger... Realised what I'd done there. No new Marvel as yet... You'd think I'd have the hang of this separate thread lark by now wouldnt you. Didn't mean to alarm anyone... Just the rest of the Jan 1st wave... DC/SW etc... At least I don't think they had Marvel... I only really noticed the GOTG sets.
  11. I think it's for those that bought stuff on the VIP event around Black Friday
  12. Lego store in Liverpool has everything in. Waiting for Monday to pick most of it up thanks to the double VIP points. Couldn't wait for Slave One as they have 2 left and one of those boxes is damaged!

  15. It does look a peach of a range! Also some decent new military stuff from SY from that seller!
  16. That's a slippery slope! I should know! ;) Even on eBay those selling bootlegs should make it very clear so there's no confusion!
  17. That seller has split the sets and charged $9.99 for each set of 4 rather than all 8. The set numbers show they're all sets of 8. I'll wait until they reach some of the regular sellers! Really nice range of figures though.
  18. BrickLink sells only genuine Lego products. You'll actually find parts in colours never officially released on there too. You're safe to order from BL!
  19. I think there are some vehicles which are special cases. The MF is the biggest example of this as it's the single most iconic vessel in the SW Universe and therefore could actually get away with releases of differing scale within very close proximity to each other or even simultaneously. An interesting point is that a UCS Falcon, especially one that might feature an interior, would be minifig compatible while the system scale version is also minifig compatible but smaller... They kind of compete with one another. On a slightly related note I see the rectangular dish of the Ep VII Falcon is actually taken from a blockade runner similar to the Tantive IV. Cool.
  20. Technically we know and understand that ANY custom figure of a licensed character are illegal... But rightly or wrongly I don't think Lego are interested in stopping them... Whether Marvel, DC or any of the licensees would be more keen I'm not sure. Haven't they issued some cease and desist orders on some Deviantart users? The problem Mike has had is Bootleggers actually taking his renders from his Flickr pages and using them on packaging and promotion of their figures without any credit. Mike has designed figures too... These things aren't just for profit... It's a creative process that ultimately may lead to a poster or similar from the render. If someone asks to buy these renders as a poster would any of us say no? Believe me... I've been involved in a lengthy debate on one of Mike's threads about the production of custom figures from small sellers to bootleggers essentially being no different. Pad printing is ridiculously expensive... No ones making huge money from selling them. If anything they get a start on the next figure but I think given a chance we all like the idea of even breaking even to get a figure we want... We just need up to £1000 to get 100 or so figures printed and away we go!
  21. I don't think ANY Lego model is worth £1000. That's just my opinion. If I were you I'd wait and see whether we get a slightly different version of the UCS Falcon in the next 12-18 months. Even if it isn't exactly the same I'd hazard a guess that it would be pretty close and may actually be better with an interior... which 10179 didn't have.
  22. Yep... It's a rerelease of the 2013 May 4th promo. I think it's available with any purchase throughout the month of Feb.
  23. Tell me about it! I also have a soft spot for pad printed customs. That has KILLED me this year. Lego really does seem to be expanding the line quite a lot... it's nice to see. They've got so many designs already in the bank with the games that there's a wealth of stuff to work from... Let's just hope we get to see some more of them in physical form. There's a Christo Shazam of the New 52 design and normally I'd pick that up but the way things are looking with Lego at the moment I get the feeling it may make an appearance... especially as it's getting it's own film. The classic design is now off limits thanks to the SDCC figure so it leaves the New 52 game design.
  24. Yeah... He shipped it to me free as a return favour... although it cost around £6 to do it... he wouldn't take payment. Best thing was that as it was straight from Target it was only $15 so I didn't have to pay duty on it... unlike some of those on eBay.
