  1. It certainly looks the same as SY's version... which is a clone of the NACM figure.
  2. Not sure... You can still view and order items from other links though: http://www.aliexpres...2264233510.html Not sure why the store page seems to be empty though... I've just message the seller as I had a few items on order from him. Even though I have a tracking number he's just told me they've not sent it because they're waiting for the Iron Man SY262 wave to come in. They're sending out the DC/Marvel stuff tomorrow.
  3. I can't see them actually making Chewie 'camo'... Would it not just be the version from the Droid Gunship? That's got fur markings on that could be mistake for camo? That Chewie hasn't been in an OT set so there's a good chance it's that. I think if anything a 'snowy' Chewie for Hoth would be good. Kind of like how Kubrick did it. ^ That'll teach me to not hit the submit button and post straight away!
  4. Mystery Machine and Haunted Mansion sound like they might be must buys!!
  5. I'm not sure you've been ripped off but there's always that option. I've had this a couple of times when a seller has sent something and it's taken a very long time to show up on the tracking system.... I'm not sure if they say it has been sent while they're still waiting for stock to come in. I fully expect that to be what's happened to mine. I'm using a seller I've used before with a rating over 98% on over 3000 transactions so I don't think they're ripping me off... I just think that as the clock ticked down for them to send the item they just mark it as sent while waiting for stock. Unfortunately it can take a while for things to arrive so they can just hide in the shipping time.
  6. I agree... If that is indeed a leak of the Tie then I won't bother as it looks pretty ugly in those shots. It's certainly bigger than 9492 as people have said but... I can't really tell if it's equal scaling to 9493 > UCS Red Five.
  7. UCS sets on Ideas are never going to be made as Ideas sets... I think the Sandcrawler showed exactly how they handle it. I think the designer has actually scaled down his design down to make it something that might 'remotely' be possible to be sold as a large UCS set but the initial design was outrageously large. I've never been a fan of every MOC getting posted on Ideas although it definitely looks as though his design was intended for just that... although I can see the purpose of putting a set like that on there to just show that there's interest in something like that. Minas Tirith has done something similar in showing that people still want LOTR sets. Those large sets such as the X-Mansion or Wayne Manor are well done but they actually lose something for me. They're a little cold in their execution of being pushed as a retail set rather than an excellent MOC that may be worthy of production. I've no doubt that Lego have had this set in development for a long time and it really is a case of bad timing... and the reality that Ideas sets are roughly $50... not $350. Just my opinion though...
  8. Luke, Han and Leia in Endor camouflage would be fantastic as would getting the new Chewie figure in an OT set. We don't really need a Rebel Scout or Biker Scout but whether TLG feel the need to add any in to expand the ground team is always guesswork. I actually think the new Biker Scout is fantastic and pretty much nails that character. Judging by the costs of recent sets which included decent ship builds I'd guess at around 5... maybe 6 figures. If anything the idea of a Biker Scout and Speeder Bike to give another scene to re-enact is possible but they've shown in the last waves that they're happy to just give us just one side of a faction with a bigger set such as the AT-AT etc. We had two pretty big Imperial crafts with that and the Star Destroyer so the Tydirium may just be rebel... which I think would be ideal. I'd happily take the 4 figures I mentioned first with a really good Tydirium build... we're pretty much guaranteed a black Jedi costumed Luke in the other main OT set of the next wave anyway. I can see that Luke just being the Ewok Village variant... Vader being the DS version, possibly with that rumoured revised helmet mould, a variant on the Sith Book for Palpatine (although I think the Sith Book version is pretty much perfect)... then maybe some of those Holy Grail OT Stormtroopers everyone is after. I can't imagine a set of that size would just have 3 repeat figures for it's main protagonists though so I'm definitely leaning towards a new helmet mould for Vader based on that... especially as we've only just had new Imperial Guards. That's why I'm kind of expecting an Imperial Dignitary or two to populate that set.
  9. Daredevil is an exact copy of the NACM figure and as such looks pretty good. Cyborg is pretty much exactly the LB2 version so it's nice to have that variant. I agree the mould doesn't look that great on Red Robin's helmet but I have the Christo it's based on so I'll just get the Phoenix Custom head to complete that one... But I don't think we'll truly be able to gauge it until they're in hand. I'd also say that the Green Arrow looks particularly good. For something that's a $200 SDCC exclusive it's around $1 for this and it looks as good... If not better for the brown strap detailing. Completely new moulds for Hawkeye, Galactus and Antman headgear... We're getting very blasé about this yet when Lego produce one or two new moulds for a wave it's a big deal. I'd say that if Lego produce the figure then get an original but for something completely new weigh up if you want a bootleg or hunt out a decent custom... Which could cost the same as a regular Lego set if not more. Stick with Decool or SY and you should be fine. Dargo, JLB or Lele should be left on the shelf (mostly).
  10. Is there a way of reporting 2 pages of posts instead of just a single post as this conversation is getting ridiculous. It's about as fruitful as it is relevant.
  11. The print on those look good... Especially on those that matter. Phoenix will have the Decool head and genuine hair to replace that. Cyborg is the game version and looks good. Galactus and comic Hawkeye look good too. Red Robin print looks good... If anything the Phoenix Customs head would look great on that. Beast and Antman look very good but the head print on Antman doesn't look great... Daredevil looks really good and the stretched Plastic Man looks fun but they still can't get Superman's hair mould right! Beast looks excellent there and the Green Arrow looks like a fantastic torso and leg print finally on a rounded corner torso mould... The straps are brown rather than black though although I think I may prefer that!
  12. Looks fantastic. Everything about this build seems so well considered. There's not 'too much' detail where it doesn't need to be and there's just enough studs showing which I always like. I must admit I'm not always a fan of people putting their MOC on Ideas but I can see why you'd want to put this on there. I can see this getting a lot of votes!
  13. I think it was. My sister picked up some Lego in Vegas for me and brought this calendar back but I've not redeemed the UK calendar yet so I'm not sure if it's valid here. The first voucher was for the Lego Store Employee minifigure so I'm guessing it was just US based as I didn't see on in the UK.
  14. Neither do I! ;) The head is Snape's so it's just the torso that's unique. Worth BLing.
  15. If you mean Firmus Piett he was in the SSD.
  16. Well they've retired Arkham and the display UCS sets don't really count as flagship so that would make perfect sense to me. There are rumours.... more guess work actually... that Alabama starting on 17th January may show something... Whether that's the Helicarrier or not I'm not sure but with three toy fairs within weeks of each other something should show up.
  17. It was the specific name of the Shuttle that was stolen by Crix Madine and used by Han, Leia, Chewie, Luke and the rest of the ground assault team on Endor. It's the same Lambda class shuttle that set 10212 is of but the fact that it's called Tydirium says it's probably going to have the Rebel ground assault team and hopefully an updated team with camo gear. Ninja'd!
  18. Same here... I'd be giving the 'bricks' away if I picked these sets up. As much as I like new designs I'm just not into designs that people have completely made up... I classic comic Cap would have been fine... or even Bucky as you say. Namer would have been great... and really simple for them to do.
  19. Digger has reviewed the Marvel vehicle set from SY. It give people a chance to get a better look at the designs for Cap and BW.
  20. Same here. Although I live in the UK I've never been to Legoland Windsor... a full 4 days stay would be a bit much for me but I'd love to come down for a day or two.
  21. The difference on the front is just down to the placement of the print rather than a actual design difference. A movement of less than 1mm on the jig that's holding that particular torso would result in the print being raised further away from the base of the torso as seen in your picture. You can see slight differences in how the inks are matching up in the back too... the blue of the straps on the one to the left don't reach the top of the torso and match the black outlines as they do in the one on the right. That again can be down to just slight variations in the actual moment of printing and is not a sign of something untoward happening... some older torsos that Lego have done have terrible printing... misaligned ink plates etc... it just happens regardless of how good QC can be sometimes it just happens... but none of the things pointed out on here would be something I'd have even pulled if I was hand checking for quality control on these figures. One thing I'd say... the printing on both of those uses identical techniques... both have the same silver metallic ink (digital printing doesn't use metallics in this way). None of the Chinese bootleg companies have produced this figure and there are telltale signs if any of them had. I'd also say that pad printing is quite an expensive process just to clone an existing figure (Unless you were trying to sell SDCC figures as genuine) so I can't see it being someone outside of the Eastern bootleg companies. I'd say you have nothing to worry about with this. It's a legit figure as far as I can see.
  22. I think there's a very good chance there'll be at least one of them with the Helicarrier. Good thing about Lego is you get to choose whether they stay there or go into a parts bin. ;)
  23. Yeah... there's nothing that really stands out from those designs. For Widow SY gave us a figure that was based on a comic book design previously which was fine., Christo has given us the movie version, the first Lego version was based on the concept art for Avengers 1 and now we're getting the AOU version... this one just seems like a generic torso. Maybe a good one for Maria Hill? I'm thinking that with an arm with SHIELD print from NACM customs could look pretty good. Then again we'll probably have a Maria Hill figure in the Helicarrier.
  24. Well that's a completely new Black Widow that's somewhere between the old on and the new one we'll be getting soon. Cap looks like a version of the Stealth suit from CA2 but with the red and white stripes around the abdominal area... which is also a halfway house between first Cap and the AOU version. Heartbreaker armour is a slight alternative to the official version. The Doctor Doom design is new also...
  25. This. Precisely.
