I went into Myer @ Marion yesterday, they had the 20% off Lego signs but no 3-for-2 signs, i asked at the registers and the attendant said there is no other sale. The other sales attendant standing next to her also agreed there was no 3 for 2 sale or buy 2 get one free ( however you want to say it. Was i duped? I find it hard to believe that 2 sales asst. working at the toy registrar didn't know about the sale. but nothing surprises me about customer service nowadays. -
I remember my first disappointments with Lego sets i bought. I don't buy Lego anymore due to the fact that half the sets look a decent size but after they are built i look at them and think wow i paid that much $$$ for that . In Australia Lego is so expensive its turned me off of buying sets. I still like to look at Lego in store's & had looked at buying the Creator Cabin but priced at $62 where i live i thought just too expensive for what it is.

This is amazing, its given me plenty of inspiration to try a station of my own. The angel figure in the ceiling mural is a great idea!

I guess at the end of the day most of TLG's Themes are designed for children that is there main audience. So we ( as adults) just have to be happy with what is out there. -
I have bought heaps of the "Kock Off" figure's from Ninjago,Chima,Turtles.Avenger,Lone Ranger& Castle themes, they are great for filling up spots on my layout, however i would never try to resell them as Lego or claim they are Lego in any way shape or form.
-
Same here , i am really excited for this theme and the ideas it brings, like making a Brickflick movie based on The horror movie 'The Thing" or a brickflick based on the tv show "Helix" Example: Lego Arctic Team taking core sample's of ice for carbon dating discover remains of unknown origin, Contact with the main arctic base is lost , "Fade Cut" into a small artic shack where survivors are huddled up together, what happened to them? how did they get there? "Fade cut" Outside in the extreme arctic conditions a lone figure on a dog sled is seen heading towards the survivors shack............... Cant wait to get the sets and make a horror Brickflick

So you bought stock at target for cheap then returned it too a different retail chain "wal-mart" for a full price store credit...Two things strike me here,First is don't you have to have a proof of purchase when you return an item? ie a Recipient of purchase? If so the blame is on the store attendant organizing the refund for not checking your receipt or if the item has a custom barcode sticker for there particular store. Second this is "Return Fraud" I work in retail and customers who return regularly are flagged or return over a certain amount within within an allotted time period are flagged for investigation. by the Loss Prevention department. I guess this is a lucky Lego find, lucky the store attendant didn't do his or her job by checking the stock being returned......i wouldn't make a career out of it though

My local k-mart here in S.A has about 12 sets of the HH left on the shelf,Strange thing is they are not anywhere near the Lego Isle they are tucked away in the corner of the store near the nerf guns and cheap Scaletrix sets. My local K-mart is that they charged me $179 for the HH Then i went back in the next day and got charged $160 for another. -
Very very cool, really capture's the theme great, the boats are my favorite.

Thats what i have been trying to do lately build mocs with blink orders, sadly i have the talent of a half used bar of soap lol.

After studying the new train pictures for a few month's, i have come to really like the white bullet style passenger train.Which was not a train i really liked when i first saw the pictures, i liked the cargo train more. However after looking over the pictures of both trains i have come to realize that the Cargo train here in Australia will be way way over priced ( my guess is $250-$400) and it looks like you don't get much for you money. I wish TLG would release more train accessories and carriages i know they wont so i have turned to the dark side of 'Clone bricks' to satisfy my train need's Any one have any ideas of the Over Priced Australian cost of these 2 trains?

Im really looking forward to the Arctic sets. So i can re-enact the 1980's movie "The Thing" in a brick film
