75827 Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters Discussion

You would add the hinges in the same place on level two and three as they are in level 1. It would strengthen each level. Dark red was used in a lot of sets including the SW ARC-170. -

Questions for someone who has built the whole thing... The Jangbricks review said that the sides which open are unstable unless the roof is on. Is this due to a lack of red hinge bricks? Would adding one or two hinged bricks per level help with this? Is there any reason why this couldn't be done? I've only finished the first floor so I wanted to know before I dig into my loose bricks which are in storage. -

[WIP - LDD - MOC] 16x32 "Affordable" Ghostbusters HQ
gotoAndLego replied to mediumsnowman's topic in LEGO Licensed
This thread is great. You know, you could save a lot of bricks by making this a middle set without the sides and a full interior. Make it 32 wide to fit Ecto inside, or 16 with a narrower Ecto. -
I received it as a birthday/christmas present and I think its a pretty cool model. Quite a few new techniques like the foil to pylon connection. Looks really impressive built.

The seller probably thought that MISB meant the contents are mint in a sealed but damaged box.

Don't make people sign up for Instagram, post the pics here. -
When the UCS Imperial Shuttle was announced, Eurobricks ground to a halt under all the accusations of the designers stealing an MOC's design. So really Lego can't win. I think its a shame Lego couldn't re-release the cockpit piece from the earlier UCS tie-fighters. Really would be nice for people who display them side by side.

Lego 10000--OMG! A Very Strange Set!

Provided you don't open the bags, some Lego fan will pay top dollar for that error. See what you can get for it and buy a regular version of that set. -
Nice houses, I'm glad more people are doing alleys.

I like everything about it. Great jerry can. -
Looks good but the blue part looks unfinished and simple. It needs more tiles, slants, and details.

If they used that mini fig it wouldn't be collectible.

Winter Village: Ferris Wheel (Competition Entry)
gotoAndLego replied to Paperballpark's topic in LEGO Town
It looks really good. I think the people should be seated facing he front but that's a minor quibble. Maybe make the gondolas curvier. -
Looks a lot like a Citroen as well.

Best parts pack? Helm`s Deep or the new King`s Castle?
gotoAndLego replied to Artifex's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It depends on if you like to build with those big wall panels or mostly bricks. -

Should TLC stop photoshopping their pictures?

I don't hate that word any more than I hate the term xerox for any copier. Speaking as a designer, chances are they use creative suite.
