  1. The "Oops!" photo cracks me up.
  2. I'm not sure what the English name for them is, probably something unpoetic like "crash pole", but I think that's what the yellow posts on either side of the garage on the Fire Brigade are.
  3. This is extremely good.
  4. I was thinking some 1x1 and 1x2 white tiles.
  5. Your wheels aren't too large, but your proportions are off. The body need to be taller, the hood needs to be shorter with a less slanted windshield, you car look slik its been lowered, etc. Overall the size is fine, so it just needs refining. Its easy to get close but hard to get accurate. I'm doing a miniland scale Mr Bean. so I know.
  6. Truely wonderful. I think the winter tree needs some snow on its branches.
  7. It looks very good so far. You could buy one or two Modular sets to get a base amount of bricks to work with. I bought a FB and GE when I was making the Crimson Permenant Assurance and those helped greatly. Aside from that you could just write down a list of what you think you will need, double that amount, and then order those. As you've been building your facade, you should have an idea of the kinds of brick you need. LDD is helpful as well.
  8. Fire Brigade used plates to give it some detail.
  9. When that happens, I just buy a set or make something.
  10. He can't increase the size of the back because it has to stay within the baseplate, but he can increase the details.
  11. It looks really good, but I agree that the back area looks too plain.
  12. It looks like he stacked three 1x1 plates. I always find it interesting to see how MOCs develop, and comparing your first photo to the last really shows how you refined the brown building. The shape of the balconies is particularly nice.
  13. I think it looks great.
  14. Very good job so far but you have some funky proportions going on. The hood is too long and the windshield needs to be less slanted. The wheels seem to be the right size, perhaps a little small, but the way you have them it looks like it's been lowered too much. The wheel arches should follow he curve of he tire and yours open up front and back. Lots of good lines in your model however.
  15. Looks good. With all that white, what if you made the blue band taller and put bolt in white letters in it? Also, I appreciate that you kerned the L and the T, but the difference is too much. Try reducing he space between the hot letters to one stud, or open up the space between the L and the T.
  16. I thin it's a great idea; it's the kind of building that is ignored on most layouts.
  17. Well its neither Midi nor UCS. But it looks decent regardless.
  18. Both are used: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/jewellery http://www.thefreedictionary.com/jewelry
  19. You can fit a bar and some stools in that space.
  20. What about having the inside of the third floor not extend all the way to the wall. That way the manager can look down on the sales floor, and that slanted windows will show the cars/not make the second floor as dark.
  21. Your stairs should be going the other way. The reasoning was that (right-handed) attackers going up the stairs wouldn't be able to swing their swords well with the wall to their right while defenders going down would have lots of open space to swing their swords. Many castles had the stairs as you have them and I see from your design that you probably can't switch them.

  23. Lots of great techniques. Is that Medium Blue or the Pet Shop's Sand Blue?
  24. I really like it, particularly the little girl with her teddy bear and the lantern hanging off the side of the building. The Apple Tree and sign outside are nice as well. I think you should use another brick-brick over the window, to match the one under, instead of the plain 1x2. I believe your sidewalk needs to match the other modulars with 2x2 dark bley tiles. The ramp up doesn't bother me, but it may not match the rules. Your MOC needs to be on a baseplate, rather than a plates, or it won't be able to attach to the other MOCs.
  25. I was thinking that if the banners were done like roman legion flags they could be angled while in the wind, but still hang properly when there was none. http://www.patchesofpride.com/pages2/offtowarbanners.html I apoligize if the war slogans on these japanese banners offend anyone, I'm only linking for example.
