    Hi all together, some might remember me for building The Batwing last year and providing the PDF instructions Build your own Batwing! by Brickmasta Since nothing new from TLG is in sight for their precious TLM franchise, which is really disappointing for me since there is still so much stuff from TLM they could do, I decided to take matters in my own hands and continue on delivering some of the coolest movie creations. Next on my list: The Batmobile Lets get back to work then... by Brickmasta I learned quite a lot during reverse engineering The Batwing and fortunately I also required a lot of pieces I can now use for recreating The Batmobile. My goal for this build is to make it as professional as possible, sturdy but still with play features to make it attractive for children to drive it around without breaking apart. I started with the base structure and inside of it and already discovered a few changes I need to do to make it a reliable construction. WIP #1 - Lego Movie Batmobile by Brickmasta At the same time I am in progress of creating the digital PDF instruction manual, which enables me to experiment, build ahead and take a look what could work out and what not. WIP #2 - Lego Movie Batmobile Instruction by Brickmasta With all of this set I will hopefully be finished quicker than I was with The Batwing, with also being able to provide you the instruction PDF at the same time on my Brickmasta blog.     Of course they won't produce a big set like this for Ideas... I think everyone should understand already that Lego Ideas is about small, nice sets that fit well with the brand and has never been done before... that is why I also do not understand when people are sending in stuff for Star Wars or Jurassic Park... will never be done. Also big sets like UCS or something - no chance. Lego Ideas will always produce smaller, cheaper sets that are easy to build.

    I quote Batman from THE LEGO MOVIE when facing Emmet in the submarine: "... so disappointing... on so many levels ... " I really do not like what they have done. This is not a UCS, it is just a huge playset with not many details, looking just rough. And the price... with the biggest joke, that you can add POWER FUNCTIONS for additional money. A plus would have been if this is already included. I would have expected a real UCS, bigger, like the Star Destroyer, with a lot of details and stuff. Why do we need microfigures with it?

    Agreed. I was expecting something around 1m with a lot of details, like the star destroyer, and a nice display, this looks to be more of a playable UCS version... but lets see what the first reviews have to say.

    This is cool. Only dissapointed that your model is allowed on Lego Ideas. I put my Batwing up there and got immediately deleted because it is an already existing model and they only want new ideas...?

    Guess I have to build more by myself then... BATWING is done, lets see what I can do next if I find enough source material from the movie then... I'll do my own line of TLM sets

    Thx for sharing mink :) Looks like Lego will not produce a Batwing Set anytime soon... at least everyone can build one for himself with my instructions

    Well then it is 3 sets this year but I was looking forward to see much more as there are so many great models in the movie which could be easily produced... TLM is in my opinion their biggest theme with huge potential of sets and just 12 months are given to that? Big disappointment for me :(

    Is there any news for new sets this year? As the Toy Fair already showed a lot of stuff for all other themes but I heard nothing about continuation of THE LEGO MOVIE sets :( The only 2 small sets so far are very disappointing...

    The Helicarrier should be available for VIPs in February which is like in 9 days... still no presentation of it? If I think of it, the Lego Shops should already get them in stock right now to sell them on time for VIPs

    Nice to hear :) I have no other decals, I think the one with "The Batwing" is just custom made... I thought about producing it but does not make much sense for a few pieces. In terms of making the wings stay in place I had no solution. I used my orange presentation base, like the one in the video game, to have The Batwing on display with the wings basically just resting on the base :)
