Best Place to Live When it Comes to Buying Lego?
dr_spock replied to Deathleech's topic in General LEGO Discussion
USA. There are places in the USA with no local sales tax. Those would be the places to live and buy LEGO for the best prices. -
Welcome to Eurobricks. Eurobricks is not really setup to host pictures. You can put your pics on a site like flickr and deep link them back here. Here is a tutorial on how to do that. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=97921 You could make the shared bogies longer to fill in more space under the base plate. You still need to have sufficient clearance in curves so that the bogies do not hit the depressed area.

Nice work. Is it a BeLUGa whale? Would a 1x2 or 2x2 jumper work for a blow hole?

Nice HHP-8.

Like one of these?

Also take into consideration of the scale of the trains you're building. The AA box can be a bit too big to squeeze into six wide locomotive. The AAA or the rechargeable box (same size as the AAA) may be the only option if you chose to stick with a pure LEGO solution. I think runtime can vary depending on the weight and length of your train and also the amount of friction in the wheel sets you used.

Looks good. The figs have that Oliver Twist era feel.

Welcome aboard, Simon. Have fun.

One takes AAA batteries, the other takes AA batteries. Size is the main difference. What are you planning to do with the battery box?

Looks nice in azure. Those blue type technic axle/pins in the front bogie will not spin easily and cause drag compared to the tan type.

[MOC] UIC XMPR + Italian Express Night train
dr_spock replied to Skystorm87's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You can buy them or print them yourself. Depends on what you're looking for, there may be premade ones in the right size. You can also send out to a printing shop to make if you have the graphics and can handle the minimum order. -
Monetizing file sharing of LDD LXF files?
dr_spock replied to sparkart's topic in Forum Information and Help
Not everyone builds in LDD first nor produce instructions after the fact. Some creators of instructions get into a miff when someone else tries to profit off their work or don't give them credit. Then they end up having to police the internet for misuse of their works.- 12 replies

Nice work. It has that classic 1990s LEGO train feel too. -
