I am going to wait and see what happens. Just in case, is there a way to mass download all your photos from Flickr?

I 3D printed some parts cheaply at the local public library. The fit and finish isn't all the great. Some sanding and shaving may be required. The material was PLC plastic. At first it had too much clutch power. Then it weakens over time. 3D printing of ABS plastic requires good ventilation. Inhaling VOCs and Ultra Fine Particles from 3D printing process is probably not all that good for you. Mass home 3D printing may not catch on once parents realize the dangers. I see 3D printing good for one off custom parts or very small runs. For very large quantities, plastic injection molding is still the better process to go with.

I don't think you centered the servo motor before you installed it. I recall there were pictures in the instruction manual on how to do that.

Ultra Small Forklift - Muravi
dr_spock replied to mahjqa's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Cool build. Great job creating warehouse racks and loads for the forklifts. Excellent video presentation too. I used to work in a warehouse, your opening scene is giving me nightmares.- 70 replies

Earthwork fortifications - Ch2a
dr_spock replied to blackdeathgr's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice work on the terrain. The field general is hardly breaking a sweat. Are you sure this is for category CH2B? It seems more like a CH2A build to me. -
Inconsistency with Power Functions order accuracy
dr_spock replied to ProducePrincess's topic in General LEGO Discussion
A user on another forum said he received a laser barcode scanner along with his LEGO set. It took some effort to convince LEGO they had accidentally shipped him a scanner and LEGO should take it back. It seems there are surprises with online orders. Maybe lesser hassle to shop in the brick and mortar stores. -
Challenge 2B A long time ago many factions fought over a tiny key island outpost in the Seas of Storm. The lookout post was installed by Oleon and provided intelligence of ship movements in the Seas of Storm. Corrington, unfriendly to Oleon, seized the outpost with a small expedition force. Their victory may have been short lived though. Victory Is Short Lived by dr_spock_888, on Flickr Here's a little fun challenge: Can you guess off the top of your head which LEGO set the island base is from? No looking up or searching.

Interesting. Do you have a pic of how you stringed and powered them in the tram?

Eurobricks migrated to new server
dr_spock replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
RAID 10 with 4 x 240GB drives would give you 480GB of storage. Since EB aren't hosting images, text doesn't take up that much space nor use much network bandwidth. -

Steering for Trailer Wheels?
dr_spock replied to cemus's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I tried making a steerable drawbar trailer years ago using a simple linkage setup. http://vid98.photobucket.com/albums/l270/dr_spock_888/lego/SixAxleTrailer.mp4 I think I ended up making the middle 2 wheels nonsteerable. -

LEGO train Display for the National Toy Train Museum in Strasburg, Pen
dr_spock replied to Cale's topic in LEGO Train Tech
You could also look at using PF train motors with power pickup bogies as an alternative to expensive, hard to get 9V motors. Dead 9V motors could be converted into a power pickup bogie. -
White is the New Red
dr_spock replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
White looks nice when new. As LEGO white ages, parts of your model may turn into different shades of white. -

Cute plus you don't have to change the bedding or feed it. Good luck.

Nicely done. Any plans for a LEGO bookshelf?
