  1. Pain washes over my face as I watch the man transform. Clearly the process is a less than pleasant one. I agree with Nerwen, there's little more we can do then trust Ecatsue. I turn to the dragon. Good luck, sir. Let's go talk to Greely
  2. I think it's too early to make a decision. We still don't know if this is a side effect or not. Besides, if this is what he wants and we ruin it, then he definitely won't pay. I suggest we wait a little more and observe.
  3. That sounds about right, it would definitely explain his age. What are we going to do? If he's a larger dragon he'll rip the inn apart. Even if not, I somehow doubt he will pay once he's gotten what he wanted.
  4. I figured the vast number of OT quotes balanced it out.
  5. We have watched your progress with great interest, Doc, and I suppose now you are in command, Moderator Brickdoctor. You shall keep the local users in line. You and your moderator... abilities? Nevertheless, I have faith you'll do a great job as always . I would find a lack of such faith... disturbing.
  6. New avvie? I like it, it's pretty cool.

Yep. flickr was complaining that my old one was too small (It was 100x100; I'm assuming they want the 200x200 version to support Retina displays.), and while I like the Scout, my interest in MOCing definitely has the AT-ST over the 74-Z. My old one as a sigfig was also really similar to Lars', and I did get some comments that it was a little freaky with the two eyes staring out through the Scout helmet hole. Haha.

Also, I changed my avatar from the 'Scout on 74-Z' to the 'Freaky Scout' shortly after the last time I was promoted (to Reg), so this seemed like a fitting time to change it again.

  7. Nerwen, can you heal him at all?
  8. Neither do I. I just built Orthanc, by the way, and it is beautiful! Took me about three, three and a half hours to build, but I was multi-tasking a little for a while.
  9. They seem an interesting concept, but I haven't been on one so I can't give a firm opinion.
  10. And interesting suggestion. As there seems to be little more to do at the moment, I agree. We'll see how this ritual goes.
  11. It looks to be a cool set. I'm definitely spending a lot of money on LotR this year, and I do have the 2008 gunship, but it's so unstable for me I wouldn't mind picking this up, especially with the beautiful minifigures!
  12. It doesn't seem he's going to talk much more. Should we talk to Greely about an extension? I don't like it, but we don't seem to have much choice. Just so you all know, I'm gone July 2-15th on a trip. I'll get on when I can. Hopefully we can have this wrapped up by then, however?
  13. I, for one, welcome our new Sandy overlord. Congrats, it's well deserved!
  14. I'm going to see if we can get anything he knows about Krook's death in exchange for an extension on his debt. Kill two birds with one stone. Any objections?
  15. I was afraid of that. Perhaps you could offer Mr. Greely some services? I understand you are busy - and rightly so - but perhaps you could assist in odd jobs like helping clean up. I believe there is an... investigation somewhat underway as well, perhaps you could assist with that?
  16. Alright, let's see. Greetings, sir - Ecatsue, is it? I'm Dyric Rone, leader of this party and hero of Heroica. I understand we're in a bit of a tight situation here. You have something Mr. Greely wants, but seem to have nothing to offer. I disagree. You are an alchemist, and a skilled one I might add. Surely you could create something or sell a few unneeded chemicals to make up for the debt?
  17. Calling this now. The final Zeph Quest is going to start with Felton coming back and warning the heroes the Wren has gotten out of the spirit-world thing and is using her new power to kill all the Old Gods or something along those lines.
  18. Somehow I'm filled with both excitement and dread.
  19. NPCs must die? One the seems prevalent to me is aspiration. The Wren Quests featured Wren's aspirations to ascend to some higher form, and the last Guffington quest featured Guffington's aspirations quite prominently. I admit I haven't been following the Russel quests as closely, but the characters there do seem to have aspirations of their own.
  20. Right, of course. Does this man really have a cause? His actions seem almost purely selfish in nature. Sure, they are understandable, and I pity the man, but I'm not sure it could be said he has some noble cause or anything. That said, I do think we should help him if we can. I'm fine with asking him for something in collateral, but he does not appear to have much besides chemicals and dragons.
  21. Agreed, that last line gave me chills
  22. No, not these dragons, the fire drakes, the ones downstairs! Is it possible he could have gotten them to do it!
  23. It's hard to say what exactly I draw from, because my mind is like a sponge, absorbing pretty much all media I read/see/listen to. A lot of what I write tends to have similarities to dozens of different things, at least from my perspective. That said, some primary sources definitely include SW and LotR, though I do want to crack open Game of Thrones eventually, as well as Discworld and some Lovecraftian stuff. Star Wars itself eats up a lot of my eating time, but once I finish trudging through the NJO series I might pause and take some time to look at other stuff.
  24. Are we ruling out Eusta- er, Ecastue possible getting the fire drakes to do it? They do seem dragon-like.
  25. Clearly you don't watch Red vs Blue, then, where he played a pretty creepy mastermind, though granted that was all voice acting.
