It's hard to tell, because over the years with the release of the prequels the viewpoints have been slanted. In the Last of the Jedi series, it seems that no one knows his true identity, yet in Imperial Commando (which takes place around the same time) it's a well-known fact. It's one of those parts of the EU that really varies.

I've got a fun battle idea along those lines, but it'll be a while before it can be implemented (it won't be in this Quest, that's for sure). Considering we only won the Wren Battle by killed the whole party twice, that one seems to be the hardest.

Lucas did draw on a few points - Aayla Secura, for example, originated in the EU, and there's numerous instances of him trying to work in Quinlan Vos - but he never seemed to acknowledge any direct plot points.

The corset was always what made the fig look weird to me, and considering the still shows her without it, I hope any future Tauriel sets have an updated torso.

Like Doc, I'm not familiar with TOR, but that Zabrak really reminds me of Bao-Dur from KotOR. It's a beautiful set, but with Orthanc and some of the other sets, I'm not really that interested in it.

Nowhere does Palpatine have 3-eyed children. Or even children. Unfortunately, its also impossible to anything without the EU that won't anger someone. I really think they should go the MCU/Star Trek route and have the new movies in a separate reality. To the contrary, Abrams has gone on the record saying he's a huge fan. While I'm fine with Lucas not paying much attention to the EU, I find it a little disconcerting that he completely tore it apart. I don't expect the films to totally the EU, but I do expect at least a few nods, and I do hope they try their best not to totally destroy it.
