I was re-watching the Lego Movie yesterday, I noticed that Unikitty puts the flowers with studs down:

Indeed, the effect of the crates is nice. I like the use of car spoiler for sign at the top (as I guess you used this part)
-
Sometimes you can find on Bricklink parts that were not in any set (e.g. when TLG got rid of some stocks, or from Legoland parks' shops) , but that's quite uncommon
-
Also, that part was created more than twenty years ago: it exists since 1992... that's not really new.
-
Indeed, that's good. The lines as sticker would probably damaged with time. And so will do the Mini logos on sides, which I won't apply then I think. Pillars really look like stickers though And the front logo would be better on a clean sticker than a green paper sticker

I hope the green tiles and white panels will still be there in two weeks. Indeed the staff is super nice there.

If there are people in Belgium around here, I found today the blu-ray at Carrefour in Kraainem for 20 €. The DVD (15 €) and 3D+blu-ray+DVD (30 €) versions were also available. And for all versions, they offer the minifig !

But these are already easy to get for cheap in the bricks assortment sets, where you get a lot of 2xN in addition of the 1xN.

That would rather be a stereotype for Asian, that they request in their letter :D Also, about high number of boys, if you count all minifigs with no visible hair as boys, there are a lot. But why can't those with a hat or a helmet be girls? For those who do not know the site http://surmalegobros.com/ it contains drawings based on Lego sets, and interestingly many of the "neutral" minifigs are drawn as girls, e.g.: http://surmalegobros.com/set/1496 ( http://brickset.com/sets/1496-1/Rally-Car ) http://surmalegobros.com/set/6524 ( http://brickset.com/sets/6524-1/Blizzard-Blazer ) also all the space sets: none of these figs have short hair, they just have helmets (and anyway there are girls with short hairs :D) Though that all that becomes false with the recent trend of non-classic smiley faces: they are often more marked as "boys" indeed rather than being neutral :/

Though that when I was kid I recall preferring the 1xN bricks rather than 2xN...
-
I wonder why they put so much 2x4 rather than 1x4. For building the latter one seems more useful, even for kids (except for very young ones maybe), but I guess that the first one is cheaper for Lego.

Really? I hope I'll find that next time I'll go to Lille (France) store
-
Thanks ;) Yes, IMCDb is my site too (I didn't create it originally but it is me who handles it since several years now)
-
It's my site ;) I'll add your pics to it, if you're ok with it

R682 AHS does not seem to exist anymore, as a site like MyCarCheck does not return info for it, and the DVLA does not have it either for the makes Mini/Rover/Austin.

Impressive that it was "free standing", i.e. not supported a reinforcement structure or cables (except those used while building for safety). At the end they say "The tower was disassembled the day after" -> I suppose they didn't just push it to make it dismantle itself on the ground I like when they build things that they dismantle afterwards: I find the glued big structures much less "Lego", bricks are made to be re-used!
-
Indeed, I see it now in the last pages of the instructions. Still strange to put that spare part that way...
-
Does anyone have an idea about why there is a brick with a technic axle in this step: It does not seem to have any purpose, they could have put a plain 1x2 DBG brick, or a 1x6 like on the other side. (I don't think it has been mentioned here, or I missed it)

Nice. I plan to make a parking garage with ramps some day. Indeed large size is required for that. For a previous contest I made one in 32x32 but I had to use an elevator due to that small size.

Including a poll to this thread (as there is a poll function in this board it seems?) could be useful to know how many of each group there are :D - studs up - studs down - mixed - no flowers
-
flowers like http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:P%C3%A2querette_vue_de_pr%C3%A8s.JPG kind of have a stud in the middle

75 degree slope bricks, format 2x2x3
antp replied to legotrainfan's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I do not think there is a difference Lego calls them Roof Tile 73° Bricklink calls then Slope 75 but they're the same part. -
I'm from the 80s and the "normal" way to me is with studs up. In the sets I had they were that way, e.g. http://brickset.com/sets/6372-1/Town-House http://brickset.com/sets/6374-1/Holiday-Home http://brickset.com/sets/6360-1/Weekend-Cottage http://brickset.com/sets/6397-1/Gas-N-Wash-Express And it seems so for most of the sets from that time. I always found strange to see them studs down in a few places. Back then there wasn't many SNOT, so the studs were usually on top

at least the metroliner was looking good. I do not have a big problem with a special part for train front, but I find the new one rather ugly
