  1. The next state may be further from him than the next country in your case (aren't the Belgian & German shops close enough to you for a trip from time to time?)
  2. On small screens (around 4") it could still be interesting to be able to use the mobile version...
  3. The Horizon Express was a genius move: you HAD to buy two sets Better than previous trains where you hesitated to buy the second one just for the wagon, having an useless locomotive. Here even the locomotive was useful.
  4. When a Lego parts goes in it, usually you hear it and you can get it back immediately When I was kid, my mother often searched in the bag for parts that she accidentally vacuumed
  5. Not just any mobile, it works only on Chrome/Safari-based ones I guess (as it doesn't on IEmobile).
  6. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2580c01 seems indeed already less common (which is sad, as it looks nice)
  7. And now I see it was AFOLguy1970 who posted about that brick and not you
  8. He asks you if you mean that slope part by "profile brick". I thought you meant http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=98283 and forgot the word "Masonry", but it does not seem to exist in white
  9. one of these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30517 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=57893 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=58827 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=95347 ?
  10. According to bricklink, the 6-high frame is from 2007 and the glass door only from 2008. Indeed they used the new frame with fixed glass in the set. The 5-high doors seem not used after 2007, replaced by the new 6-high door glass. The CC was one of the lasts just before the change.
  11. Interesting, that's an unusual dark age period, as many of us seem to consider 80s sets as the best :D (well, probably because a lot of AFOL played with lego as kid in the 80s)
  12. For these the classic mudguard http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=3788 / http://www.bricklink...tem.asp?P=60212 works fine. The 80s-style cars look a little smaller than the recent cars, but that's like in real life (at least with European cars), when you compare a 80s car with a recent one of the same segment. And I still make 80s-style cars with newer parts & colors, e.g. : http://mocpages.com/...992/1343581163m as the mudguard I mentioned above is available in several newer colors (and for the colors in which doors don't exist, there is still the possibility to use panels, like the medium-blue car seen in my link) edit: by the way I discover a big mistake I made; I didn't buy the set 6910 two years ago, the only one having the mudguard part in green, as I was waiting for that part since some time... how could I miss that !? The part seems quite rare on European Bricklink shops...
  13. I doubt that they would combine both in one package. The pick-a-brick is already sent as separate package than the rest of the order, packed manually. Here it will be the same: it is a manual task.
  14. They used it for two of the cars of http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=4207-1 That's where I got the idea. I think that the usual truck tire is cheaper for them to produce (due to the quantity they make, maybe) hence why they use it so often. Earlier prototypes of http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=60060-1 had smaller wheels too if I remember well, only the final set gave to the cars the same wheels as the truck :/
  15. Hence why I replace wheels on the new ones: I find these better looking with car wheels rather than truck wheels, even if the arches seem a little big for the wheels.
  16. Nice, I'd also like to see more details. For those who want to compare it with real-life aerial view: http://binged.it/1gFzLaP
  17. http://www.bricklink...m.asp?M=post001 from http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=6651-1 The printing were long gone, but I bought recently on BL one that still has the printings. I also had to buy a yellow window frame for the van, as the original one is broken (the shutter holder on these old window frames were fragile). I should rebuild it now that I have all the parts. And a few years ago I bought the modern version of the set, http://www.bricklink...em.asp?S=7731-1 just because the 1982 set was my first Lego set (except Duplo).
  18. Recently increased to 9,99 & 17,99 € in Belgium & France. To be confirmed for Germany.
  19. Because it is difficult and expensive to import into China. If they want to sell in China it is much easier to have a factory there.
  20. Mostly because for selling in China, you have to produce in China. And China's own market is a huge opportunity for Lego.
  21. Interesting part, I didn't know it. I had to make a washing machine for my apartment-MOC, but as I needed it as 3-stud wide, I used the Life Preserver http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30340 for the round door:
  22. I like how you did the window arches, both front & back
  23. Sure. At the end of the video you see the people making hello to the camera when it is revealed.
  24. Some progress, even if I didn't had much time for it lately. I made the bedroom furniture. As reminder, here is what the bedroom looks like: The floor is made with tiles from a pick-a-brick visit last year : In the corner, the hi-fi system. In grey, the speakers. And once all put in place: Seen under the other angle: Under the bed: I care to make the groove on the side of the bed (for the drawers under the bed), but it is nearly not visible on the photo; black isn't an easy color to photograph :D The desk: It was difficult to do, very fragile while making it. I added some 1x1 round plates to fill the void between SNOT parts or else it all felt apart when I pressed a little too much on a side. The other side has parts holding just by being stuck against stud rather than being properly attached, but as there is no stress to the parts it is good enough.
  25. You mean the classic minifig head? It seems so: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3626bp01&colorID=90&in=A
