I usually update BrickBuildr the best I can (I still have to do it for Lille), but as the site does not work so well it used to do, maybe I'll start using Wall of Bricks. About the transparent panels/bricks, I saw both 1x2x2 panels and 1x2 bricks (but no 1x2x2 bricks).

In my case it is a little over an hour on a quite good highway, and moreover the Lille PaB wall contents has always been satisfying. The contents of the wall between stores often has a large similar contents, but there are still some store with more basic contents, changing less often, and some others with unique (or nearly) contents because they try to get parts that AFOL may like in the list from which they can order. The store in Lille is nice for that, as it seems to be in that latter category :) The store in Wijnegem is a little closer, but the wall contents was quite similar between the times I went there (well, and I also go to Lille to have the French prices rather than Belgian prices, when they are lower).

From the store in Lille (France) : I was happy to find 1x2 brown plates, I needed these. Same for the 2x2 tan tiles already mentioned by others here. Black headlight bricks can always be handly, nice to have these. Detail of some parts not very visible : I don't recall having already seen these tires & wheels in the PaB wall (even mentioned here)... edit: spotted on a photo on a previous page, but not very visible

I do not know for the 250, but Raaco's 150 / 1200 series can be attached with screws when stacked. That's those that I used for the two rows below here: http://antp.be/temp/lego/WP_20150719_12_21_09_Pro_1.jpg The smaller ones on top are other brands lighter plastic cases.

Where do Rare/HTF Parts come from?

Nice to see you back, good that you finally have put all that online :) -
Has your pet(s) ever caused damage to your collection?
antp replied to legosamsonite's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My cats are just stealing parts: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48198&st=0 but sometimes accidents happens: http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=301766&id=/user_images/68992/1325027826m http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=301766&id=/user_images/68992/1325027831m fortunately, with Lego there isn't often permanent damage when things fall -
I think Brickset only has inventories since Lego publish these, as they are retrieved automatically, opposed to Bricklink/Peeron inventories which were/are made manually by members/users.

It was also used in a few older sets http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=3688&idColor=11#T=C&C=11

It may have happened previously, but in the latest years where contents seem similar between stores, no Technic Element has been seen, as far as I remember. Possible exception is when they dump parts of "broken" sets in the PaB wall, as I saw that in the Köln store. Not sure if they still do that (but not all stores do it).

After the replica of my apartment, I made a replica of the previous location where I lived: my parents' house (where I lived between 1990 and 2005, and where they still live). This time I made only the outside, which was more interesting than my apartment's outside, as here it is an old house, typical of the houses built around 1900 in Brussels. I made it at a smaller scale than my apartment: the scale was chosen to match the windows sizes. (photos are clickable for larger version) Here is a photo of the actual house: Compared with the Lego version: Garden side; the photo was taken before spring, after that the tree leaves cover a lot: Lego version: Related page with a few more pictures: https://antp.be/lego/moc/m33.php

Good MOCs using separators, I don't think this was yet posted here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/2840637@N21

I tested the WindowsPhone version, indeed shadows and contrast are maybe too "hard". I think the shadow is too "long" on the studs, that make them look too high. The use of gradient also make them too shiny and not flat enough (difficult to explain). Home & Reset buttons should be a little bigger, to look like 2x2 round tiles, instead of just being buttons on top of studs ;) edit: checking the screenshots of Android version, indeed that's already better, but I maintain my comment about the shadown on the studs: it is too big

Good work, it looks really good

Either this is something very recent, or just something done in one store in particular (a good idea, though, lucky for you, it is easier than trying to guess what they could have and you could want).

The dark blue 2x2 plate was last used five years ago, so it would probably not be available from that either: I suppose they can only order "current parts".

Nice details. Having myself made a full apartment in Lego (cf signature) I find some parts interesting. For example I may borrow your idea for making the desktop chair wheels :)

A race car like that would be full of stickers across multiple parts :/

Sets with many flat tiles and small plates
antp replied to brickified's topic in General LEGO Discussion
It may also be worth comparing with B&P and PaB on the Lego site, they are usually below 10 cents each. When I had to buy a large amount of 2x2 white tiles, it was cheaper than Bricklink. Same for when I later bought 1x2 l.b.grey plates. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
antp replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
They're used to create a kind of wall texture. That does not look bad, but being not very visible I'd agree that it is not so useful. -
I'd like that. Or a Lotus Esprit. Also a car with angular style that may render well in Lego.
-
I prefer the accurate wheel hubcaps and stickers than regular wheels and printed parts; these wheels help for the overall look of the model. I could have paid 10 € more for all-printed parts, but I guess that Lego estimated it was a better balance the way they did it. I was quite disappointed by the Mini once I had in hand (the final result, I mean). The VW camper however was a good surprise.

Until http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=18973pb02&in=S it seems they never did printed parts with the Ferrari logo. Maybe due to the license then?

Misprints and Other LEGO Production Oddities
antp replied to Navy Trooper Fenson's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Not really a rare one I guess, like all those who bought the set in the first batch ;) By the way, is there a reliable way to order the corrected part via the site or e-mail? To avoid getting the same misprinted part (what I'm afraid to get if I just use the form asking to replace the part by the same one) -
Nice 2x2 jumper plates, I hope to find these next time I go to a Store.
