  1. Possibly all of its elements (part+color) are still in production, so the cost of producing it again is nearly null (just reprinting the manual and the box, and package the right parts) Maybe they produced too many of some white parts and wanted to get rid of the stock? :D
  2. I'm hoping for a re-release of the "sand green parts pack", aka "statue of liberty", now that Lego seems to use that color in many sets :)
  3. That harms only those that want to make a profit. For true AFOLs it is a good thing :p As those that buy and store just for reselling later tend to raise prices, at the expense of AFOLs
  4. It already happened to me that they ship just the promo item, because the main one was back-order. So I received a rather big box with just a polybag in it (the smallest size of box they have is still big for that, only separate parts are sent in padded enveloppes I guess)
  5. Nice! Great idea
  6. Nice! Like others, I like these angled front windows Is the couch/chair missing a 1x1 tile on purpose? Or is this an error? :D
  7. I did (well, I did back then), I didn't like it, so the parts for it went to the parts bin and I use instead a firetruck from the City line And about the PC limousine, it was so ugly that I had to mod it, which was not so difficult to achieve a result that was good enough for me:
  8. As I'm in Brussels, it is already a little closer, I consider it worth the drive for at least 20€ discount and the joy of the PaB-wall. Indeed the PaB wall is decent, at least better than Wijnegem (from the few times I went there), but I usually go there only once a year, I don't know how often they change the contents. This time (a few days ago) there were less new items than usual though. Aren't some German store closer to you? I once went to Köln (further than Lille for me) just to buy the Ghostbusters HQ + the modular Brick Bank, as the total discount compared to Belgium S@H was 70€ (and still significant compared to the French price, this time).
  9. I meant sold as a "set" (i.e. in the "Classic" line) But indeed it is still available from B&P (from the inventory of the Sydney Opera) at 6.8€, good to know. And the blue 16x32 at 3.84€... Or the 48x48 at an outrageous 18.86€. This also allows to get the green one (instead of bright green) from the Assembly Square, though that at 7.5€ it seems even more overpriced... (and the 32x16 is at 4.17€)
  10. We (people from Belgium, Netherlands, and sometimes France where it is not always as cheap as in Germany either) complain from time to time, but usually they reply some things like that they adapt prices to markets with various criteria. So from time to time I go to the store in Lille (France) to buy big sets rather than ordering them online. So for example I'll soon go buy the Ninjago City there to spare 30€, that I'll spend at the same time by filling cups at the PaB wall To come back to the subject, was it mentioned here how strange it looks that the last wagon of the train hovers above the ground because there weren't enough tracks? https://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/10259-1/10259_Back_01.jpg (I've read that on another forum, and indeed before reading it I didn't really notice how strange it was)
  11. The "individual" blue baseplate was replaced by the tan baseplate in 2015
  12. No: +5 € in Belgium compared to Germany: as often the Belgian Lego prices are higher :/ (here without any reason, since it is the same currency)
  13. Not a "punishment", just a consequence of the value drop of the £ compared to other currencies, DKK in this case: Lego wants to get the same amount of DKK as before, so if the £ has a lower value than before, they need to ask more £ to get their DKK ;) http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=GBP&to=DKK&view=2Y
  14. nice! they look good
  15. The San Francisco cable car falls in that second category, that's something that could work well outside AFOLs and trains fans
  16. They didn't throw them "away", doesn't the legend says they kept them close by burying them in concrete?
  17. Actually I think that the Chinese maker copied it from Hasbro/Kre-o ;) But that may indeed by seen as a "problem" for Lego : many parts left for them to "invent" were actually already "invented" by others, as these are logical derivatives from existing parts.
  18. color balance seems a little weird, or there are some very unusual colors (what color is supposed to be that 1x3 plate ?)
  19. but that's not lego, it is like saying that parts exist because megablocks do them
  20. That's indeed the technique I've started to use (and should apply to still many of my parts bin) to keep most possible different useful parts reachable easily in small drawers, and keep the larger amounts of some parts as stock in "less accessible" boxes.
  21. Indeed, some time ago I got unprinted light blue pants (officially it only exists with print) in BAM, cf my post there: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/94037-legoland-non-production-parts/&do=findComment&comment=2797722
  22. Thanks, I sent them an e-mail
  23. Thanks!
  24. While you're there, Did you ordered via the missing/broken parts form? Or should I rather contact them via e-mail? If so, what did you ask exactly? (i.e. part reference number) I ask that to avoid getting the misprinted part again, as I know many people had that problem when ordering shortly after they corrected it (which is why I waited... and then finally never ordered the part)
  25. Nice! Some of these photos are new to me too
