  1. Ideally you really want beams on the other side too, three studs wide in total instead of currently only two studs. Cool project.
  2. I can not see Lego producing a pneumatic check valve.
  3. Thanks....I love it when I get compliments.
  4. Well let my first say that I am some what of a "knowledgeable Lego cad user" I have been working with MLcad for about 8 years,I joined the rat race and moved to SR3D when it came out which to this day I find it much better than any of the other lego cad software (I have also used LDD and LDCad). Lego instruction making (especially if it is technic) is slow and and can become complicated , I would suggest to split the model many sub-models and to save your work regularly. I suspect a lot of your computer processing work when processing your file is when it is trying to understand the flexible parts, have you tried to remove temporarily until the end the end ? I have wrote some tutorials on using buffer-exchange on my blog, there is really not much more to buffer-exchange than this. I do not know if this is a "secret project" but if you need help, feel free to pm me.
  5. The steering shaft will probably run above the battery box (through the turntable).
  6. You can create multipliable sub-models as a part then use buffer-exchange on that part. I will do some tests....sounds fun.
  7. Super awesome car,I love the lines of the bodywork. This moc will get added to the HOF in the coming week or so.
  8. You can manually input the amount of degrees (box at the top centre below the main tool bar) when in rotation mode.
  9. Yes I could do that, how well does it work in terms of controlling the steering?
  10. Yes there is going to be some difference, that is a shame. Does that not depend on the construction of the servo powering the valve?
  11. Has anyone created a moc with servo controlled pneumatic steering like the image below,If so how well did it work? I am thinking of having a servo control the "direction" of both cylinders to control the steering of the axle. I would also like the ability to change the direction of each side (crab steer, all wheel steer) using another servo or gearbox.
  12. You can insert comments into MLcad ( this could be done as you wnt along, if you were using MLcad to build your moc) or into the Lpub instruction file.
  13. Oh, so you would want to use a program like Lpub3D (You can use MLcad to add building steps to the file) in which you can make basic instructions in order to recreate it.
  14. The building I referred to above was a multi story flat hat that a lift and stair case.I have linked the file below, feel free to examine the file to see how I created it. Download block of flats LXF
  15. It depends on what you want to build (and what theme you choose) If you are new to "mocing" and you plan on using technic then I would warn against it, as you really need to test your ideas out physically with technic. If you are talking about a moc for a city layout or using the "traditional" Lego type elements then Lego cad is a great tool to use. When using Lego cad software you need to be careful of using parts that do not exist in some colours or are rare and expensive to buy.
  16. I finally got round to to changing the high of the servos,I also rebuilt the pump as well. Later this week hopeful I will start on the front grill and body. (Click Image for bigger size)
  17. I recently made a building with multiple floors in LDD,I found the easiest approach was to construct a "template" of the floor of the building.I then used the "group" tool which allowed me to reuse/cone the template floor over and over again.
  18. You could try something like the 8459 wheel loader, which made use of a fixed axle going through a perpendicular connection which was driven by a free rotating gear wheel on another axle.I think this is how you made the steering work in your older version but you used a large turntable. If you could implement a similar approach (you would not need to use a turntable) to the 8459 wheel loader then you could perhaps use bevel gears/worm gear to connect the steering to to a drive shaft to power the steering. 19. Wow....silly me. Thanks for pointing that out. Some people would say that, but it is unfair on the rest of the members who have a entry in the HOF.
  20. What.... he actually has some "Lego". Now this might be just me that thinks this, but are you not just wasting a lot of money on parts bin to sort out your collection when you don't actually build anything.....Just spend the money on sets.
  21. You seem Hungary for another challenge. I am enjoying following your progress on building this excavator,a wheeled excavator is defiantly on my list of stuff to build.
  22. I am running windows 10 and can run mlcad, have you tried just installing mlcad by 1000 steine?
