  1. Welcome to Eurobicks.
  2. I can't use LDcad,I find the GUI terrible and not easy to use.
  3. True, but I think you are going to need a multi layered approach which uses different algorithms to stop the "spammers" and not just block all words containing ".com" or ". c o m". if you look at a recent spam post they just use the same sentence over and over again, how about parsing the reply and matching all the same lines?
  4. I did not mean to be rude, and I did expect the staff members to be looking into the situation (thank you staff). I also did expect you to be using the spam filter,I don't know if it is possible or not but having the spam filter carry out two screening iterations one with no spaces between characters and one with characters might be a idea (yes use a try and catch statement). Oh just a thought while reading the text convert it to lower case, otherwise the filter might not pick it up (perhaps another iteration to try).
  5. I have made automated drivers for firefox using selenium,it is easy to make a "bot" sign up and start posting. The admins need to try and screen the topic content or titles a bit better. string line = read topictitle if (line contains "cvc79.com") { //block } else { //allow }
  6. I am not reporting a whole page of spam topics.
  7. Jim you reminded me that I have a small unit/cabinet to build ( from Ikea ).
  8. Are you planning off going as far as to use Lpub to make "instructions" or are you just going to convert the model into a "Ldraw" format?
  9. Yes,there was a ton of spam this morning.I hope the admin's can find some way to defeat the all these bots we been getting. You probably can't block the ISP as they will most likely use a VPN,but perhaps you could better detect what they are inputting into the text field and screening it against a filter.
  10. I am not too sure about the trailer length and the construction technique used, but I do like the excavator and dumper. Can you share some pictures of the compressor and valves of the excavator?
  11. I am not sure about the new version of Lpub (Lpub3D),but in the old version any arrows needed to be added manually.
  12. I was not sure what was going on with Allan's question, that's all. Agreed.
  13. No, of course not. I am sure you know, that I really do dislike these kinds of topics,I would much rather look at or give feedback on someone's creation rather than on a topic asking "is my yellow brick to yellow" or "is it dangerous to store my bricks side ways rather than up right". I am seeing less "building" and more discussion on for example "why I like to clean my Lego models twice a day". Every day I see a new random topic and less actual building which is what I like to see (I know I am not the only one,who feels the same way). ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Element Colours Q) Do you wish you could introduce more different colours,or use elements in colours which maybe you cant use because of the "colour identification" that exists in technic.
  14. Three questions.... 1) Am I allowed to give some potential questions? 2) What is the point of this topic exactly,we have a embassy for topics like this. 3) Why have the "special" members not been advised of "a special topic which will get made in the main technic forum" before now?
  15. What word did you use for the spam filter to kick in?
  16. It is great too see some events in Scotland. Sadly it would need to be in or nearer Glasgow for me to attend.
  17. If you can wait till August ,you could consider getting him the new pneumatic Volvo excavator (£50). The construction crew does give a lot of possibility's,how about buying some PF components of Bricklink to motorise the 42029 (£40)?
  18. It is nice to see you are still constructing your town. How about pulling the desk forward and constructing a extension to the desk in order to make its depth bigger?
  19. Also take a look at the last page of the "instruction file".
  20. I can also confirm that it does fit,but you need to use scaffolding.
  21. If you are working from a old file (pre update) it might be that the collision detection mechanics has been changed in the update (4.3.9) which is causing the error.
  22. It is great to see a new update, thanks Lego.
  23. I look forward to a video of the crane in action, the styling of the truck is very good. I personally think the truck could be a little bit wider, but it is only nit-picking. Have you heard of bricklink ? I bought some of the longer cylinders there before Christmas.
