They are from my internet harem :-D It will be great to see you making a new version of the Potempkin. You can steal whatever you want ;-). It's just out of ordinary paper and the 2 sides are glued with Pritt. The "trick" to make it look realistic is to bent the flags a few times directly after you put the 2 sides together. This way it will look natural (like it was waving in the wind).

That's correct Mr. Phes! The rest of the thread can be used for comments, new additions,... I'll filter it all out and update the first post.
-
I've put the flag in my BS-folder. Here's the link: It's far from finished. Now I'm starting with the "details" which I find very important. Damned, you're right. Hard to change a bad habit...

Mr. Tiber, while searching Wikipedia I found some useful info on the Archeron: Wikipedia USS Constitution (look in the section "Constitution in literature, film, and popular culture").

Nice find Starwars4J! This has not been on display before. I challenge the builder to make a complete ship like this.
-
I like the lifting-arm you see in this picture. I was just thinking of making one myself, and this is a great inspiration. Isn't it a problem that the long boat is in font of the windows of the cabin. Well , as long as the captain doesn't complain ;-) .
-
That's correct Mr. Z. I know that 95% of the ships use a hinge to get this effect (including the official ships). But I've never been completely satisfied with how this looks. So I have been experimenting a bit and this is the result.
-
That's a wonderful idea Mr. Tiber. The Acheron is perfect to build on the standard hulls. Here are some pictures of the cabin, just for you ;-)

The wild dogs cry out in the night As they grow restless longing for some solitary company I know that I must do whats right Sure as kilimanjaro rises like olympus above the serengeti ... Africa would be a great theme indeed. TLC could use it to show the rich culture of Africa. They could show us the other Africa, not the one we usually see on TV these days...
-
Oeps Lluis, you forgot to mention Pirates 8-| Anyhow, welcome!
-
I would be very happy if TLC did that, but I don't think they will. If we want to see zulu-armies, colonial armies, ... then we'll have to make them ourselves.

I'm always curious to see how all of you guys look. But I never posted my picture... So here it is. This is me giving a speech at a party some time ago.

Look what I just got - Report your latest Pirate LEGO acquisitions
Bonaparte replied to V()()D()()'s topic in LEGO Pirates
Can you tell us for howmuch it was sold? Or maybe provide a link to the auction. -
Incredible *wub* ! This set can be used in a modern city but also in a Napoleonic-area city. That's what makes it so great for the pirate fans!

What is the oldest set you've ever found in a store?
Bonaparte replied to BearHeart's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I got this set for my birthday (many years ago). It is disassembled, but I still have all the parts and the instruction. Unfortunately all the boxes of those sets from my youth are gone... About the oldest set I ever "found" in a story. That must be the Galaxy Explorer. I was only 4 or 5 year old at the time. I can't remember if I was with my mother in the story when she bought it. -
Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
Bonaparte replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
You are right P. This is a bit confusing. It was the intention to discuss the Fleet Listing? Army Listing? in the topic Fleet Listing Discussion Thread but the link got a bit lost in the first post of SkaForHire in the Fleet Listing? Army Listing?. I have made the link to the Fleet Listing Discussion Thread more visible (also changed the name to Fleet Listing? Army Listing? Discussion thread) and put it at the top of the first post of the Fleet Listing? Army Listing?. We can keep this thread (which is for official sets only!) for people that don't list their official sets in the Fleet Listing? Army Listing?. Maybe it was not very clear that this thread is for official sets only (it was mentioned by Mr. Phes in the first post), so I have added the word "official" to the title to avoid confusion. -
Nice Galaxy commander with classic space color variation
Bonaparte replied to mutex's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I think I like this one better than the original ship. Maybe a stupid question, but are those grey space minifigs custom? I can't find them on BL. Here's a picture of the original ship for comparison. -
No need to apologize Paladin! I can't thank you enough for the MLCad-files. I've just opened them and started my investigation.
-
Mr. Phes, you didn't tell me yet what you think about the updates on the Orient. Don't you like the girls in my banner? :-P Just click them anywhere you like... and they bring you to the right post.
-
Thanks Paladin! Coming from the maker of the HMS Bellerophon I consider this a big compliment.

Congrats Mr. Tiber. Is this your first SES?
