  1. Mr. Tully, as a general remark, you should try to write some more lines in your posts. Try to avoid putting just a single sentence and describe a bit clearer what you are trying to say. Let's say you put at least 3 sentences in each post ;-) I don't know what you don't understand. So don't be afraid to use a few more words!
  2. About a year ago (I don't remember exactly when it was) I discovered the Sharpe Series. The books (written by Bernard Cronwell) and TV-series describe the adventures of Richard Sharpe, a soldier in the "rifles" company of the British army during the Napoleonic wars. They were the first to use the Baker rifle in stead of the standard musket. Partly because of my love for this series, I started my Napoleonic and British armies. During that time I found an incredible website that was a great inspiration for me. The creator of the website had lost it's interest in Lego by the time I discovered the site. As a precaution, I stored the entire site on my PC. Some time ago, this great website disappeared from the internet. But now it is back online on my personal webspace. Sit back and relax while you browse through one of the best websites about Lego and the Napoleonic wars that ever existed. Don't just look at the pictures, but also read the text if you have the time. Link to the website: Lego Sharpe - Friends & Foe
  3. Here are some buildings that would be worth putting in the same street as the Cafe Corner. The brickshelf gallery has a folder for each building AND they contains the MLCAD instructions for the buildings! Brickshelf Gallery
  4. You're right. I suggest we use this thread for collecting all the instructions that are available. So later we can see if there is a need for more organization. Here is a link to the MOC Black Pearl Thread of Kurt which contains instructions. I don't think that is possible. It will be up to Mr. Tully ;-)
  5. I didn't know you had such a big Lego collection oo7. You must have very good "sponsors" ;-) . I always love to see towns like this, with lots of details and scenes on the streets. Excellent work *y*
  6. Pearl Jam - Alive (live version)
  7. That's an incredible collection! Must have cost a fortune and years to collect all these sets. Nice to see these pictures.
  8. At first, I didn't understand what you meant with "I turned around the top". But now I think I see what you mean. I have no special preference for picture 1 or 2. The fact that the top of the watchtower is inaccessible for minifigs still suggests this is a totem (or religious building). But there's nothing wrong with that ;-)
  9. Cool, someone comes to your house and offers you all that for only 5 bucks. Nice to have friends like that!
  10. Aha! I wasn't 100% certain. Everyday I learn something new ;-) Now I go to bed. Last night I only slept 5,5 hours which is really not enough for me. Did you know that by the time I write this, Mr. Phes is already sleeping for 2 hours! I guess he will be waking up in about 6 hours. Why am I writing this? Just keeping Mr. Tully's thread alive until he returns with more instructions :-D
  11. Could you explain a bit more how you would organize such an instruction page (=thread?) Mr. Tully? And please give this thread a more relevant title and description. The title "New Topic" is not very meaningful ;-) . You can do this by updating your first post or I can do that for you if you tell me what it should be.
  12. R.E.M. - Bad Day
  13. We could add one with photo-shop and see how it looks.... Nah, won't do that :-D
  14. If I were a millionaire, then I would ask you to work for me Mr. Z. I'll give you an unlimited budget and let you build incredible MOCs for me all day. If I were an administrator, I would put this on the front page. Because that's really where this incredible fortress belongs! If I were a poet, I could make this rhyme :-D
  15. Thanks oo7, they have been added!
  16. There seems to be something wrong with the picture in your first post Mr. P. It's the first time I hear about Copper Sheating, so before I say anything about it, I'll wait for that picture to get fixed to have a better idea what we're talking about. Added!
  17. This is clearly a sloop of war according to the wikipedia article on sloop of war: "In the 18th and the earlier part of the 19th centuries, a sloop-of-war was a small sailing warship with a single gun deck that carried between ten and eighteen cannons. A brig sloop had two masts and a ship sloop had three". That seems like a good idea. I will wait for your results to decide if I do this on the Hotspur. The extra hull section (compared to the HMS Hotspur) and mast certainly make the ship more mature. And it still has the BSB-look *y*
  18. I suggest you guys try this. His email address is available at his homepage. My only worry is that the site was last updated more than 2 year ago (February 12th, 2005). Howerver, he might have forgotten to update this date...
  19. Cool, I got a title :-D Thanks Mr. Phes (and Mr. Tiber for the suggestion)!
  20. The changes improve your ship a lot. Do you plan to add sails? The captain looks a bit older than 30 :-D
  21. Thanks ;-) I just added another Islander MOC to the index that I found on the website of Xenobuzz. It's called "Islander Tree Fortress".
  22. I have just added another Temple to the index. Found it on BS. :-P There are also many interesting Wikipedia articles about Maya's, Inca's, Toltec's. I'll be adding them soon to the Wikipedia Links.
  23. I was a bit skeptical when Mr. Phes mentioned the idea of an "Islander Index", but without it we wouldn't have seen this great Mayan Temple. I won't pin it at this moment because I don't believe it is a good idea to have another pinned topic in the MOC forum at this moment.
  24. Very smart use of these high base plates. One of the best Islander MOCs. Yesterday I saw a temple like this one in the movie Apocalypo. This is really a great movie for the "Islander fans". According to the movie, these temples were used for human sacrifices! Heads would be cut off and thrown down the stairs.
  25. Wow, that Mayan Temple looks great. It's added! Indeed, pinning it now doesn't seem like a good idea. First we should be doing the restructuring in my opinion.
