  1. Who's winning? The imperials or the pirates? Good to have you here Apache! And I'm glad you rediscovered Lego.
  2. Yes, you're right. Let's wait with that until Mr. Phes is back. He's probably drinking rum all day in some dark pubs. But you are making excellent progress adding all these decals. Is there a way to provide a links to the actual decals? Now this tool is great for viewing, but if you need to download a decal, you still need to go to the torso library. Dunno how/where this is best done. You have an idea?
  3. So you are also a pirate fan! I would love to see some WIP pictures of your ship. You can always start a WIP thread in the pirate forum (hint ;-) ) I don't have any parts which I'm selling but maybe you can print some of the sails while you wait for an opportunity to buy the official onces. We recently started a sail-index. Not everything you need is available (yet) but some are.
  4. Welcome Aaron! I'm not a member of FBTB so we've not met before. Have fun on these friendly boards.
  5. I mean the template that was used for www.classic-pirates.com. But I'm not really an expert in webdesign. We can arrange with Mr. Phes to give you ftp-access, so you can work on a page for the torso library. There could be an extra link in the menu to this part of the site. But it has to look like it is integrated. It would be much easier if Mr. Phes was here, but he's away at the moment. I could zip the entire site (would be a bit less than 4M) and email it to you (or send via MSN). Then you can have a look for yourself. If you think it's a good idea, then you can PM your email-address or MSN and I'll provide you the source.
  6. So basically all torso's need to be manipulate to remove the background? Can you re-use the template of classic-pirates.com? And here is something interesting posted by our lady pirate cutlass_iz in the community forum: Minfig Generator
  7. They could make some typical helmets and bows for the elves. And do something special with the eyebrows and eyes. These guys look like elves, don't they? (just something I found on BS)
  8. Yes yes, elves would be great. Hopefully that's how the castle line will evolve. Seems like the most logical next step.
  9. Something like that. Today we have about 600 torso's in our torso library (you can find it on top of the customs forum). But these are only represented by a description (not by a picture unless you click on the description). So suppose you want to have a quick look at all of them, you'll need to do a lot of clicking. The next step is to find a way to better visualize the content of our library in HTML as part of the Classic Pirates portal. You can look at them per faction, get an idea of how the result will look on a minifig and even download the one's you like. That's what Andreas (Woody64) is working on. I hope this clarifies things for you ;-)
  10. You're making excellent progress. The idea behind this is sooo good. Something is noticed: When I click on the Austrian Infantry Officer, the buttons of the torso get much darker on the minifig. Some of the others also have this. I will have a closer look at the html code to see how everything is working. And I'll add some torso's because that will give me a good feeling of how much effort it will be to add the entire library. But this might have to wait a bit because I have 3 business trips before the end of next week. Can you please explain what you don't understand John? It's not the first time you make posts like this. They don't really add much value to our discussion |-/ . Last time you clearly didn't bother to read the entire discussion (I'm talking about the shako thread).
  11. There is a FREE program that seems to be perfect for making torso designs. Credit for discovering this program goes to Amanda (Lamada2). The PAINT.NET homepage. There is even an entire forum with lots of information and tutorials. Is anyone interested in making a tutorial for designing torso's with this program? Some quotes:
  12. Wow, Technics 1210MKII turntables !! You have some nice workers. There's even a basketball fan amongst them :-) This is a good way to integrate your hobbies.
  13. Keep us informed of your progress Andreas. Where did you get the head that you have today? Eventually it will need to be somehow integrated in the Classic Pirates website. The template requires Dreamweaver. Do you have that on your PC?
  14. Let me start by saying this is a great find! I heard some rumors of a dwarf faction (don't know where that was), but didn't expect to see anything this fast. In my opinion, the mine itself is nothing special. Maybe there are some interesting pieces but that's it. But the minifigs and weapons are something else. I already love those new dwarf helmets! I tried to enlarge some parts of the picture to see some more details. Is the minfig in middle (the one with the cool new helmet with the "wings") wearing some special (longer?) armor? Hard to tell. And the new swords are not to bad (maybe a bit big). But I'm not so sure whether I like this creature... My conclusion: The best piece in this set is that new helmet with those "wings" on both sides. I must get some of those!
  15. Are you talking about making a tread for all your MOCs? Like a personal gallery thread? Or are you talking about your own domain on CP? There are no strict rules on signatures on EB But yours is probably the biggest I've seen so far. When you make sure that your average posts are longer than your signature, nobody will complain :-P
  16. I like this a lot Andreas !! And I have a special reason for liking it. I'm looking for a way to visualize the content of our torso library on Classic-Pirates. Basically we want to make a few HTML pages based on the immense content of the torso library. How would you do this? Do you think your method is scalable for 600 torso's? Or would that just be too much work? So I'm very interested in your idea's !! Are you willing to work with me on this?
  17. Thanks for those nice words guys! Never tried. It would be a pity to ruin all those paper sails
  18. Thanks for posting these pictures Dunamis. Some of these MOCs are truly amazing (like the hangar). I don't plan on buying the Flacon, but I would like to see it once with my own eyes.
  19. Welcome James! Have fun here!
  20. Nice bike. I'm always impressed when people make something that good looking from only a few bricks.
  21. Could you add this info in your first post Mr. Mosana? Should we also provide a link to a color chart? Maybe add a remark that it is preferred to use official colors as much as possible? I've pinned this tutorial on top of the forum, so we should make it as complete as possible. It is clearly helping users to start experimenting with designing torso's and that's really something. Thanks !!
  22. Thanks for these pictures Agrotic !! It seems like all the Frenchies on this board are buying the Eiffel Tower set ;-) . It is a great monument and this set is a worthy Lego version of it.
  23. Welcome at Eurobricks AL FREDDO! You made a nice movie. The sound really supports the images. You write this is a trailer in the title, does this mean you'll be working on a longer movie? PS: I've de-capitalized the title.
  24. He has been contacted before posting this index. And he's given his permission to use his scans. At this moment most of the scans are from Merthyn, but that's supposed to change in the future. But you might be right about crediting the contributors. Especially when users will be making customs sails they need to be get proper credit for their work. But I'll leave that to Mr. Tiber since he'll be taking care of this index. I know you resized it, but when I printed the original one it was the exact size. Strange why this is not so for you. @Mr. Tiber: I suggest to upload the sail of Mosana in your BS and add the thumb in the library.
