  1. I had to get in on the FebRovery action... Nothing too crazy, but a rover none the less. A little something I did up in LDD for my Neo-Classic Space fleet based off the older little space buggies and rovers TLG released. Hope you like it!
  2. Good points! I was thinking of pieces like the old 10x10x12 quarter domes: And some of the baseplates like this: These are the things we will likely not see again
  3. True enough! Unfortunately I can't see TLG producing/shipping any of those larger elements anytime soon... if anything the packaging for sets seems to be getting smaller and I'd imagine the costs to package and ship parts that size put them out of the question :( My fingers are still crossed we could still see a new version of the crater plate released, it wouldn't be that big to package/ship.
  4. Another great one from you, well done, looks awesome and right in line with BT2.
  5. I'm not crazy about the updated torso, I'm hoping its just a prototype/sticker.... but I really wouldn't complain if it was a hint at what we might get in a new space line (doubtful i know )
  6. So apparently there was a "rare green futuron prototype" from back in the day... i guess this is something like what the new one will look like - awesome! (source is Chris Giddens on flickr) https://www.flickr.com/photos/fazoom/8149655291/
  7. This link was posted in the town forum... if you watch around the 0:49 point you can see the town square set and the new green futuron fig is just visible!
  8. The "futuron" figure is the only thing I'm really hoping to see a better picture of soon... fingers crossed! (but i do agree it does look promising)
  9. This is just awesome. I've seen it posted on quite a few sites now, well done! Lots of great techniques and an amazing update to a great set.
  10. Looks awesome, great work! Is Thunderbird 2 next?
  11. Well, as i suggested earlier... I've finally got around to taking my own stab at an updated Galaxy Explorer - Thanks for the inspiration :
  12. The 6841 Mineral Detector was always a favourite set of mine for showcasing the "exploration" side of space. I love the idea of searching new worlds for resources and felt this little guy needed an update. In the spirit of the original I present the neo-classic LL-6841 Mineral Detector V2. I hope you like it - comments / feedback appreciated! The original inspiration:
  13. Looks to be listed for $44.99 canadian http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/Exo-Suit-21109?fromListing=listing
  14. This is awesome! Everyone loves the galaxy explorer - after seeing this I might just have a go at my own re-boot! I especially love that droid, good stuff!. One suggestion / question. Why not Red wheel hubs? I think they would add to the classic vibe.
  15. Thanks for the feedback so far! - I'd be happy to post the LDD file once i get this one brick built. Great point Lind Whisperer. Honestly I think I had been looking at it so long I didn't even realize I had doubled up on the stripes! I was testing them out on the cockpit before I reworked the wings to include them there... guess I just overlooked them. Maybe I'll update that! - thanks! You're spot on with the hinge plate for the minifig seat. The lower canopy is attached the same way as the top - just clipped in upside down - (does that make sense lol). As for the landing gear, I've played around with the concept and I’m hoping the majority of the weight will rest on the back hinged landing gear - time will tell, thanks!
  16. I'm loving the current "classic space" trend (Benny/ exosuit) and felt it was time to start expanding my NCS fleet. Presenting the concept plans for my next Federation starfighter: LL-129 'CORVUS' Hoping to have this one "brick-built" soon, hope everyone likes it! - As always feedback appreciated.
  17. Thanks for a great review! This was an awesome year so far for Classic Space... Can't wait to pick up one of these to go with Benny's Spaceship, spaceship, spaceship!
  18. In Pete Reid and Tim Goddard's LEGO Space Building the Future the Army of Darkness represents Blacktron and are referred to as Pirates... so maybe, just maybe, something is in the works!
  19. Now that is awesome! Can't wait! Green!
  20. From Pete's post highlighted by 0ldScratch above: "More information in twelve hours"
  21. You could be onto sometihng... If you've ever seen Pete's custom fig's you would know he's fond of the idea of a green classic space man. https://www.flickr.com/photos/legoloverman/2531082552/in/set-72157606922344130/ Also, I've got to agree, that barrel on the arm is just painful...
  22. I was under the impression we WILL be getting a traditional yellow head in the exosuit, Mark Stafford weighs in on New Elementary: Mark Stafford16 May 2014 00:45:00 Flesh toned heads/hands etc. are used to represent characters played by actors (or likely to be represented by them in the case of many super heroes). The figures in Pete's Exo-suit did not represent actors - and that's all I'll say.
  23. want, want , WANT! Thanks for the in-depth review Rufus - very well done! Can't wait to get my copy of this beauty
