  1. Thanks @Mesabi! What she does is now the Crown's business, but I would also like to see her bring down swift justice on criminals!
  2. Thanks! I'll possibly add sails at a later date but I just got fed up of trying to thread them, I'm just not patient enough Thank you! Now that you mention it, blue felt would have looked a lot better, I'll keep this in mind (the board was only to allow easier transport).
  3. Thanks. Rule Corrington! Thanks! Tiles would be great but I have few in tan, if I attempt another vessel I'll try using reddish brown.
  4. HMS Paladin has been completed and ready to be exchanged into Her Majesty's Royal Navy.
  5. Dear Rear-Admiral Fletcher, It is I, Lord Spud, writing to inform you that the Brig 'Paladin' has been fully constructed. The vessel can hold 18 armaments yet is currently equipped with 16. This is a small note and an order has been put into a foundry as I write this. With this small detail aside, I present this ship wholly onto Her Majesty's Navy. The four-pounder guns are enough to match those pirates which roam the seas, I recommend making use of her lightweight, yet strong, hull to your advantage when using her. A perfect addition to a convoy and I hope that she sails well. Yours sincerely, Lord Spud Captain Joshua inspects the ship, hoping he'll see some of the rewards for her construction, unlike Spud who wishes only to further enable Her Majesty's fleet _____ Well, that took a while in finishing, don't blame me - blame my university for keeping on giving me work! If there's dust to be seen, see the previous sentence. I had a go at sails and more rigging but I couldn't bare threading and fidgeting with string so I did my best, however simple that may be. I also ran out of black 1x1 round bricks, hence the lack of rear guns. All excuses aside, I'm happy with how she turned out, I just have no room to put her anywhere now
  6. I have expressed interest but not on this post, here is Spud If it's difficult sourcing the kilt, I'm happy to use an alternative character.
  7. Nice cartographer's office. I really like the fact you've laid everything out, it makes the game a bit more real. Good work!

  10. A very nice build! I like your cobblestone technique and how illustrious this foundry looks. I also had plans to build an artillery foundry, Corrington will not have an arms problem anytime soon.
  11. Entry for Category B, in Era II, Challenge I After locking horns with Spud, Captain Joshua set into the deep jungle. His academic training told him to follow the nearest river and find the source, like many other great Corrington explorers. After many hours of avoiding bugs and mud, Joshua set eyes upon a reasonably sized waterfall, the first there had been upon this river. Joshua Falls by Tom Gray, on Flickr "Hmm, bring along the maps, I wish to check the records" Joshua ordered his lackey "Aha, it seems this river has previously been recorded by someone from Oleon and by comparing it to my fine sketch, it seems they have failed to add in this waterfall" Joshua Falls by Tom Gray, on Flickr "Now, what shall we call this geographical feature? 'Joshua Falls'. Not to be vain but I think it matches my handsome looks" One of the soldiers made a boking sound but it was easily dismissed by the Captain. Joshua Falls by Tom Gray, on Flickr The report reads as follows; Figure 34 shows a waterfall approximately fifteen feet high. The above river of roughly eight feet at its widest point cascades down and widens to approximately eighteen feet in width. This has slowed the river down considerably, but the exact amount of water flowing per hour could not be recorded due to the loss of a measuring tape and the subsequent argument of which member of the party's definition of 'one foot in length'. A beaten path leads up to the waterfall but there is no buildings or other features in the vicinity. The waterfall has been named 'Joshua Falls' after its discoverer, Captain Joshua of Corrington, who was funded by Frederick Spud of Clan Spud. Joshua Falls by Tom Gray, on Flickr "Very good, let us continue on, we'll find a path up this hill and then back to the river" Little did they know, someone was lurking within the bushes. 12. Whoops, I read it as 31st too, thinking it was the end of the month
  13. Small Residential: Footprint 256 studs Spud needed to get in on the action, but after landing in Jameston he noticed the inns and taverns were already fully booked. The only available space was a converted warehouse. A Hasty Meeting by Tom Gray, on Flickr A Hasty Meeting by Tom Gray, on Flickr "And who might you be", Spud asked. "Captain Joshua, sir. I'm leading the expedition on your behalf" A Hasty Meeting by Tom Gray, on Flickr "Very well, see to it my name is mentioned, and carry the flag of Corrington wherever you may go" "Aye sir, but these supplies may not last us and the men are fitted for regular climate and not crawling through the mire of a jungle" "May I remind you Captain that these men will go anywhere and not complain, they are my finest soldiers and I am having second thoughts of you leading them!" "May I remind you, Sir Spud, that I have Academy training in becoming an officer, my family did not simply buy a regiment" "Then it shall be easy for you to lead this expedition with your academic excellence, Captain Joshua. Good day to you." A Hasty Meeting by Tom Gray, on Flickr
  14. Very good story telling as usual! Great build, sort of puts my chopper to shame
  15. A very clean and well built building! The photography really brings the build to life. Superb!
  16. Excellent finish on the Harrier! I like the expenditure quality of the minifigs. Great build overall.
  17. Great build! I love the bunker/shelter and the inclusion of the .gif file really impresses me. Well done!
  18. Map Name: StudicaGrid: E8 New Brickika had little experience fighting in frozen conditions so they opted to extract allied teams and small equipment with their mobile helicopters. GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr All was quiet for the two soldiers and maintenance guys waiting at the helipad. GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr The small pad had a reasonable amount of ammunition supplies and a flood light for the harsh mountain terrain. GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr Limited building space meant this facility was constructed next to a small stream GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr After many hours, the Filace troops arrived aboard the helicopter. GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr "A good trip, I hope?" the rather frozen New Brickian asked No reply "snipers, saying nothing as usual..." the soldier murmured under his breath. GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr The maintenance guy continued the back-braking work of clearing the snow. A successful extraction, the Filace troops would then walk down-stream to the allied base. ____ More shots; GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr GBW Campaign 5 - Riverside Extraction Team by Tom Gray, on Flickr ____ Not that much going on but I focused on the overall look of the build and the fact I'm on a tight university schedule. I'm happy with the way it turned out, C&C welcome!
