  1. I'm definitely buying one of these and filling it with fallout characters! I think there needs to be a car park on the left hand side though otherwise the window and the 'roof' of the first floor will look silly, in my opinion.
  2. Thank you very much @Bregir for the feedback, it is much appreciated! I foreseen you asking to move the jib down, it should as you said be head-height. I'm not sure about the masts though, maybe moving the sections forward after the yellow part? i have limited brown pieces and I wouldn't be able to make the mast smaller at this point. As for the stern, I'll experiment with hinges and see what I come up with. Also, that was the 'tidy' side of the desk you were seeing, the other half is abominable
  3. @Mesabi very intimidating colour scheme! @Drunknok reminds me of the old Lego sets, looks promising! As for me I've changed a few things. The cabin has been removed and more guns have been added, looking at real life vessels, this seemed more accurate/realistic. Masts have been added and the spanker can be rotated ever so slightly at the bottom. The upper rear jib (the name escapes me right now) will not be at that angle in the finished product. The figurehead area is also work in progress as is the rudder. Comments and criticisms most welcome! Again, please do excuse the mess, I'm lazy and find it incredibly hard to put things back
  4. Sorry @Bregir, the photos were combined with the last post so you would not have been notified.
  5. I have ANNO 1404, good game but I never make any money. An extremely complex economic system would be better, but far to complicated and might even dishearten any player wanting a simple game that can be played while not taking up too much time in real life.
  6. @Bregir thanks, I had planned on not having a full deck. I'll take some pictures of the masts asap! With three masts: With two masts:
  7. After much consideration I might convert my cruiser to a sixth rate due to the inclusion of a cabin. Another mast will be added and another deck placed atop the current one. Would there be any major downsides in this eg. is it too small/short?
  8. I'd build a figurehead and name her after that, that's how I got mine
  9. Not to be interject in any way, but that was my preliminary name for my upcoming ship, mentioned in the PM. If you feel strongly about using it, by all means go ahead. I realise this sounds quite pompous but I can assure you I'm not at all bothered at you using this name
  10. A very clean build! I wouldn't fuss about simplicity as in most cases, less is more. The conversations is also well thought out and presented to a high standard, well done!
  11. A very nice ship indeed sir! I like how many details you've packed into this, must have taken a fair bit of time. It also looks very similar to one I'm building, Corrington will rule the waves!
  12. Woo hoo! Congratulations to all contestants and @Capt Wolf for the cash! A most enjoyable event to be a part of.
  13. Really nice build, I like how you've sectioned the decks to be removed - I always try to do this when building! The only problem I can see is that it would be a pain to keep that white clean
  14. Superb build! Tell those engineers to hurry up and build that bridge, I want to see more of it
  15. Thanks @Garmadon! I'll try to incorporate your feedback - somehow! I like how complicated that cannon looks without using too many parts, great design!
  16. Thanks guys for the feedback, especially @Bart! I like having a few functions in my build thus why I wanted a working capstan. I'll happily trade function for historical accuracy though.
  17. Ehh... isn't this a good thing? So many options for those builder who vary from building factories, jungles and stories! I understand Oleonander will want to compete with Corries and there is nobody forcing any player to join in.
  18. Switching the foremast and capstan may be tricky for rigging. Also, where do the anchor chains go, could you possibly provide a reference picture? Edit - another WIP shot with the current configuration, excuse the mess. I'll share it properly once I'm on my laptop
  19. I have a couple of questions - how/where are small arms stored? Do the crew sometimes arm themselves or is that purely fiction?
  20. Looking good @Mesabi! I have a little progress on my own ship I'd like to show you guys: What do you guys think? The bricks represent the masts on the deck. I'm thinking a cruiser or maybe a brig
  21. Most impressive build! The building itself feels very authentic and accurate to the time due to your attention to detail. Great work!
  22. Spectacular build sir! Those buildings are gorgeous, getting a very roman vibe from them!
  23. Since this is my first challenge in BotBS, I would assume a player can enter more than one challenge?
  24. Yeah, but English isn't my first language, I'm Scottish
  25. Great scene, I like the lighting in the furnace and the clear stages of glass-blowing! That is a rather flamboyant pinstripe suit Mr Zanzibar is showcasing!
