  1. Don't let nicjasno see that suspension elso you will be in for many lectures :P Nice body work.
  2. Can ev3 detect tennis balls? The reason I ask is I could do with a robot that can find and throw tennis balls to keep my real Dog happy.
  3. It was very interesting to see how you got so much into a small space and I'll use the LDD to make a parts list on rebrickable to see if I have enough parts for a build, a non pf version sounds good to me and I'm sure there will be interest. I always liked your Fiesta Drifting Car maybe I could do that at some time if thats ok.
  4. LDD... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/PiterX-Fiat/piterx-fiat.lxf This is as far as I can get, LDD couldent handle to curves in the window frame so I just got as close as I could, not every part is attached but most of the 596 parts are, Phew!!
  5. Lego partfinder thing has grey hubs but no tires, there are loads of white hubs and tyres and bricklink, I'm not sure how hard it is to take a shock apart for the spring but people could always buy cheap ones from bricklink and break them, breaking parts is sacrilege to some people. This part has me stumped, cant tell what it is and does it connect to front lights and grill to the bumper?
  6. Needs a James Bond technic figure, nice work in LDD :)
  7. @piterx, with those pics its enough to finish or at least get to 95%, should I try to add in lego shocks instead of springs then its all standard parts. Something I meant to ask before, which set are the wheels and green parts from?
  8. LDD ... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/PiterX-Fiat/piterx-fiat.lxf Getting to the stage where is impossible to know the rest. :D
  9. Just a couple of pics will do, first at 0:30 under the bonnet, then one at 1:59 top, youtube is grainy.
  10. On the spirograph thread I think some guys converted a LDD to LDRAW and made some really good instructions in the end, it took a few weeks though. I know how much you dont like doing this stuff so I could get the LDD as far as I can and you could take it from there, 3 times I've tried LDRAW in the past and it does not like my gaming pc at all, I can sort of get it work but its just too complicated for me anyway. Dunno if this helps ... http://wiki.ldraw.or..._LDD_conversion Do you still have the original video, that could help if its more detailed than the youtube vid :D
  11. Exactly, Ldraw is too difficult for me and LDD does not have the servo and L motors, anyone feel free to put their name forward and use the stuff done so far.
  12. I'm enjoying doing this and to be fair your skills deserve all the credit and money, nice of you to offer. afol1969 is one person I know of on these forums who can make really professional instructions from MLCAD, way much better than I could do
  13. I hope there are some wheels on bricklink. The 8L steering rack is being naughty, because its 8 bricks long the steering goes slightly off center, usually these kinds of parts are 5,7,9 etc, another way is to use the 7L rack from the 9398 but the bigger gear means the steering goes further and could pull the steering assembly apart. The suspension parts will be helpful, are the springs from a lego shock absorber? For instructions I thought of doing this, take 10 parts off the model and render, take another 10 parts of then render, etc. etc. until there is none, then reverse the page numbers.
  14. Speaking of reverse, you could video yourself taking models apart and the rest of us can reverse the video to build it, easy instructions (in theory) :D Such a compact and clean design, I'm learning some good stuff here.
  15. To be honest its not that difficult yet there are good pics of the bottom and the the steering assembly, its the stuff you cant see that will be tricky, conceiving stuff is much harder than copying from pics. PIC ... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/PiterX-Fiat/q2.png LDD ... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/PiterX-Fiat/piterx-fiat.lxf
  16. I'm glad you said that, one piece has baffled me on the steering so I drew a yellow arrow pointing to it ... http://www.brickshel...erX-Fiat/q1.jpg Is the model still in one piece, more pics would be good and maybe a x-ray (joking) :D
  17. Sweet, been wanting to make this for a while. :) LDD Here, updates will be the same link ... http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JM1971/PiterX-Fiat/piterx-fiat.lxf Help is welcome :)
  18. The pics on the first post are pretty good, might be able to do LDD from that or get it to a stage where other peoples will be able to fill in the gaps, with Piterx permission of course.
  19. I think serial has been phased out of pc mobos, there are usb converters if you pc does not have one. http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?q=spybotics%20serial%20cable
  20. Sounds great, steal a few 42030's and sell um so we can make proper swingloaders.
  21. I like the idea of a colour change, will cost about 86 euros to change the colour (85 bricks), used this ldd to make a bricklink parts list at rebrickable, lego.com is cheaper but I doubt they will have all the parts needed.
  22. Air powered actuators would have the flexibility of pneumatics and the precision of linear actuators, same principle as air powered screwdrivers, do they exist?
  23. Anything put in the back of the B model will fall though Need modding.
  24. Agreed, the steering looks ok but its could do with progressive control. (not the laggy train controller)
