  1. Clicking on the link you can see that it is part of Lego's March calender, I must admit I was partly skeptical at first too!
  2. Welcome Alita, may I just start off by saying that your English is fine, so no worries there, and glad you like Lego again! Viewing your profile I noticed that you qualify for something (and I'm no scammer/spammer/chicken slammer!) and it's a tag! You see, here on the boards, staff like to "keep track" of how many females we have on the boards. You can also see, that I'm not part of the staff, but if you would like, you can earn a pink tag that will jump you from "Vassal" to "Lady" it may seem awkward at first, but I'm sure you'll like it. Follow the link below to register yourself as a lady, and have fun! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729&st=0
  3. I don't understand the complaints of the New 52 in Lego, Batgirl, the Flash and Damian Wayne were the only New 52 Lego figures we got, and arguably the Batman in the Riddler Chase. That's 4 figures, and Batgirl in the New 52 looks near identical to how she used to (which is why it's still hard for me to process why she didn't get leg printing) in fact, I don't see why they wouldn't push one of their properties which currently makes up for around 4-5 of the monthly top selling comics, the New 52 has done very well financially, and I just don't see how 3 figures is so much when DC should be wanting to push this project that is seeming to do good elsewhere, maybe drag that success here? Hopefully I didn't come off as rude, and I believe that I'll be buying one of the Summer 2013 Star Wars sets for this figure, I can just see myself picking up the AT-TE and Homing Spider Droid, this little guy will be like the icing on top!
  4. Salutations I have noticed lately quite a few threads have been "bumped" in the Culture and Multimedia forum. In the Eurobrick FAQ, bumping threads is noted to mess up the flow of forums, and is often looked down upon. I believe that while bumping threads is a disturbance to the layout of a page and can sometimes result (and is sometimes caused) by spam, there are still going to be plenty of threads that one will want to comment on that was made far long before he/she joined. When creating a new topic that was already created, we get merged and told that there was already a thread for that, and when commenting in such old threads, we take the risk upon ourselves that we may just get hit by the "ban" hammer. So I come here to ask, when is it okay to bump threads and when and how do we (as Eurobrickers and people) know when that time has come? I ask this because, I don't want to get banned over a mistake (or put on a break) and also don't want to limit myself to discussing the first few threads in a forum. I also ask that this thread not get locked, I'm sure that such a question will come up in the future and this could be a great place for future generations of Eurobrickers to find out how/when one is "allowed" to bump topics. I hope this wasn't a bother, and also wish to hear from Eurobrickers, how do you feel about "bumping". Hope I wasn't a bother and may you all have a good day. ~ Freddy Bricker
  5. Well he has a lot of customs on his page, so I'm not sure what to think. Personally, as long as we get a full wave of DC next year and very limited Batman with a flood of new characters (and by flood I mean 3, which seems to be heaven for this theme, or at least it has been lately for comic sets with no movies to back them up, which leads me to expect another 4 sets) with a long overdue of Green Lantern. If they branch this sub theme far enough, I could even one day own my own Kyle Rayner Also, Martian Manhunter!
  6. Welcome to the forums Liz! I just visited your profile, and it would appear your female! What a weird thing to pint out, right? Well, there's a thread somewhere in the jungles of Eurobricks where females like you can get a special little tag! To save you the scavenger hunt, here's the link, enjoy your time on the forums! http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729&st=0
  7. Ok, and what about places to "get to know" Khamala Khan? I love her character and I just ant to throw money at everything Mrs. Marvel right now, she was literally the only "good" point 1 book I read. Also, (sorry for all the questions, I used to only be used to IDW, DC, and limited snips of Dark Horse) but where would be a good place to "get to know" Miles Morales? I intend on reading the following from Marvel NOW! 1. Superior Spiderman 2. Ultimate Spiderman 3. Superior Foes 4. Ms. Marvel and if they have a solo Spiderwoman, you can bet I'll be reading up on that. Other than that, I'm not too interested. But where could I "get to know" Mrs. Marvel? I feel like Khamala just had the perfect introduction, but I really want to know more about her.
  8. Welcome to the forums Jen! As most females do when signing up, I recommend registering yourself as a female in the "Girls stand up" thread, link below. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2729&st=0
  9. Well even so, Rapunzel and the Snow Queen (nick-name for Maleficent?) were both in animated movie before being put in a live-action film. They also had fairy-tales backing them up whereas Leia and Giselle were both original characters who'd need licensing from other companies involved in their creation (Lucasfilm made Leia, so I'm sure Disney wouldn't really just be able to slap her on anything) whereas if they made their own Princess from one of their own concept developers, money goes straight to them. Also, if we were to get a fall wave, would we have heard of it by now? I don't feel like waiting a year to see if we get more sets or not, but I am inpatient, so that's no surprise
  10. Thanks monty, but don't they also carry a "Superior Foes" line, or does that not include Spiderman. Also, (let's pretend you're talking to a 5 year old) did Marvel now completely reboot Marvel or is it a continuation of what was going on earlier before Marvel got the reboot? Also just realized that Feb. 5 is a Wednesday and not a Tuesday, not that it makes much of a difference.
  11. Looking closely I can see some feminine curves on that figure though the slope dress has been used for royal males (in and out of this theme) before so I can see where you got the idea it was a male. But it does appear to have feminine curves, so I'm going (and hoping!) for Queen right about now. And are we fully aware of all the figures we're getting this year? I'm still holding my breath for a Crunket figure, and I'm also interested to know where Crooler is right now, of course this belongs n another thread in another forum, but still.
  12. I wish we could count the Clone Wars, ooh I love me some Clone Wars. My favorite must be Episode 6. Hands down, there's nothing about it I can even pretend to dislike, in fact, it did to me what the other movies couldn't, it surprised me. When first watching it, I thought the Ewoks would be adorable little idiots, but no, to my surprise they actually played a vital role in the battle on Endor. All the scenes on Tatooine actually pulled me in for this movie. I initially hated Tattoine, and I'm still not sure JJ Abrams will pull it off successfully. The planet was always kind of abandoned and lifeless, Episode 4 made me like it a bit more, but maybe the lack of water to a Floridian was kind of a set back. The movie also had great acting and the effects were on spot. Nothing like that hideous slug that was so evidently a puppet (or something, so maybe not so evident, but still) that attempted to eat the Millenium Falcon in "Empire Strikes Back". This movie was also the one that made me ache for the comics, I've read very few, and I'm not going to wait until Marvel starts next year, what I've read so far from Dark Horse has been great, and I honestly don't think I would have ever bent over backwards for the comics if it weren't for this movie. And for my least favorite, I'd say Episode 1. Jar Jar was not something I couldn't live with, and at the same time, he's not someone I loved. I didn't really mind his appearance at all. But Episode 2 gave me some excitement, and Episode 3 was great with showing the transition from Jedi to no Jedi (as a whole, at least) and I was actually quite bored in Episode 1 and other than Darth Maul, no one in the movie stood out, plus the acting was very terrible. Even then, Darth was seriously underused and I didn't ever really appreciate him until the Clone Wars. Hopefully Rebels can live up to my expectations.
  13. In order, mine would have to be 1. Saving Mr. Banks 2. Monsters University 3. Frozen I believe you can already tell what type of movies I like, for some odd reason Disney films were the only movies I didn't manage to avoid viewing this year (well technically last, but I occasionally feel like I'm still in 2013), though that's not to say other movies weren't great, I just didn't get around to seeing them.
  14. Wow, if Funcom gets shut down, or held back on working, I believe this game will be doomed. Let us hope for the best and that the game isn't seriously delayed, but I'm almost certain it will be now. Also, what is insider trading? Can anyone dumb it down for me? Also really hope the Gingerbread man is in the game, if it gets released at all that is.
  15. Ok, can I just say, wow! I don't see Toxixta, unless that Green haired individual is her. That scientist is also adorable, and the set she comes in is even better. I also see a Pink/Purple haired female and other very useful pieces. The helicopter set still looks terrible, and I need my Ghost Train now, Ann Lee is gonna have some adventures with these babies.
  16. Freddy Bricker was a screen name I chose for multiple reasons. Well 2 actually, but who's counting? Anyways, I made this purist Freddy Kruger that I just fell in love with, and decided that "STSH2013Lego" was just an ugly name, who'd know how to reply to that, do they call me "ST" or "SH" or 2013? It is obviously hilariously (not really) awkward and who'd want to quote me with a name like that? Let alone, who'd know how? And then my middle name (and real life nick-name) is Fred, so did it fit? I would hope so, I wouldn't want to bother anyone again changing my name and I actually quite like this screen name.
  17. Oh don;'t get me wrong, I knew he was unlikely from the start. I just wish we got him because I'm a fan, though your solution sounds very practical and the MCW thread will be a good place for me to just breath and see the figures I know Lego will never make. I just can't wait until the Steamroller comes out, then I can finally have a purist Batgirl.
  18. Wow, and here I was thinking that I'd be saving money on Lego this year, yeah right. Li'Ella and Fluminox are both females apparently, so even if the design was terrible, I'd probably end up buying the Phoenix Temple for them anyways. But the design is, in my not so humble opinion, incredible. I would love to just earn all the money in the world to buy these sets, I don't see how I'll ever get tired of Chima, too many possibilities to go to waste. And Laval's fire mech is looking even better in person now, but Uni-Kitty comes first, so I guess my crazy plastic animal collection can hold before I buy these babies, but the year is young and these sets haven't even been released yet. It couldn't be a better year to be a FOL.
  19. Wow, these sets are so great, I think I'll get over no Cloud Cuckoo Land, that is because what we did see of it was so great, and these are even better! Thanks for the images everybody, I especially love Angry-Kitty! Oh the printing on that kitty can choke a CMF! Also loving the detail in the Police Dropship and if I'm not careful, might even have to buy it.
  20. I'm a little disappointed that it's not Kyle Rayner, but life's life. Though I agree with Cornelius, any Green Lantern would be welcome, so long as they don't give him a car!
  21. Oh how I wish we got an actual Cloud Cuckoo Land! Perhaps one day we will, I just don't see how.
  22. Batgirl volume 1 was amazing (unfortunately still in the volumes room) but when you do pick up volume 2, come back here, I think you'll love it. I do too love Batgirls relationship with Nightwing, "he with his acrobatics and me with my ballet", shush Barbara you're mine! And I heard Demon Knights was good, I asked you to get someone else's insight. I'm a little sad that Suicide Squad is ending, I really wanted to get into them, at least that will make me collecting their comics easier. Also, by definition Teen Titans story is ending, not being cancelled. I didn't really like volume 1 anyways and it doesn't seem to be popular among fans (or so says the internet). I'll be sure to reply here later when I get my Mrs. Marvel comic, I loved it so much I just can't wait 7 days! Also, what part of Marvel did you shun? Perhaps I should stay away from that when at my shop.
  23. Looking closer not only am I convinced that "purple" minifigure is Jay, but I don't even think it's purple! Look closer, at first sight, it looks purple, but now it just looks like the picture has really bad lighting. And is the Overlord wearing a black Dragon knight helmet? It would appear so, and his legs do look oddly symmetrical, but no complains there! Also noticed that the set brings golden weapons (not sure if they're "the" golden weapons, though) and and they're on a rock that revolves like the area where the Necromancer stands in the Dol Gulder Battle (ambush?) set.
  24. <p> Yes, I never really understand why people say it's terrible, have you read Demon Knights? Ok, so if you're reading Batgirl, please tell me if you're collecting in volumes or monthly issues, I've been collecting volumes since my comic shop was too far away to get issues, though I'll probably start going monthly. And I've heard nothing but good things about Aquaman, if you think he's a joke, read his comics, they're great (I've only read a few). And I was under the impression that Nightwing was getting a new creative team, I haven't been keeping with that, so don't quote me on this. Also been trying to pick up as many Forever evil issues as possible, how many do you own? And villains month comics, the first few I bought were at Barnes and Noble so I didn't get the "3D" effect I was hoping for. I plan on buying Jokers very soon (if I can afford to next week, Mrs. Marvel is currently a priority). Nice to know there are still some DC readers on the boards!
  25. Wow, an actually (dare I say) good looking set from this line?! Haha, these are only prelims, I'm sure they'll get better, but I currently have some really high standards for Lego, so we'll see.
