  1. My bad. Either way, he's not coming back. At least not for the Arkham series, he may change his mind down the road, though that's unlikely
  2. Mark Hamill stated that Arkham Origins would be the last time he'd be voicing the Joker, which means there isn't a chance of him coming back. Even if there was, Joker died in Arkham City, didn't he? How and why would he return?
  3. I agree on the Hawkeye and Green Arrow comparison, DC has unfortunately waited on Warner Bros to finally take action for their cinematic universe and trying to get all of the heroes out there means they are entering an arena where every Avenger, Marvel fan, and casual viewer has been accustomed to the Avengers. People will not let DC get away wit putting Green Arrow in the movie, they wouldn't understand it. They shoud try to make this movie as original and different as the Avengers as possible. As far as explaining why Green Arrow is there, I have confidence in DC's ability to explain things out thoroughly, and don't see how it could present a problem.
  4. There are rumors flying around the internet that Arrow will be a part of the new DC cinematic universe. If this is true, then Flash will be as well. Then adding in Hourman and Constantine should be easy, just as easy s it should be to ignoring them. DC's weakness about not having a big united universe is real' because Man of Steel is the only movie set up in this new universe. Also, may I ask how all signs point to no on the merging of the universes, you did not give any real explanation in your post as to how that was so.
  5. DC over here, though I feel Catwoman, Martian Manhunter, Stargirl and Kyle Rayner are all actual herooes, and Batman is not. I also feel that most people are gonna pick Marvel simply due to the fact that it has such a large cinematic universe. And on the matter of things being civil, it's all a matter of how we react to each other, the only thing that might get this topic locked or merged is the fact that I have already created such a topic in the Culture and Multimedia forum, since it has little to do with Lego and covers various forms of Media.
  6. Agreed, as bad as I want MJ, she'll just have to skip my collection. I don't know why I'm so hesitant to buy loose figures off of BL though.
  7. So I'm very excited for DC's new series "Gotham" which is set to air this Fall. If you didn't know, T .V series for Hourman and Constantine are also set to appear sometime later this year. Today, the show just got a lot more interesting as a young Bruce Wayne, and Selina Kyle have been cast. Apparently the kid playing Bruce is "annoying" but with all other casting choices for the show in consideration, there's gotta be something about this kid that made DC pick him, they've been doig a great job with the casting so far. Selina Kyle on the other hand, was just so obvious to me. She looks like she could be Michelle Pfeiffer's daughter. Her casting was just so perfect. Selina must not be taken lightly in this cinematic Universe. I really do hope that she is given as much development in this show as possible and then put into theatres, I love Catwoman and hope she's a bit more than a mysterious woman with an erotic twist this time around. Lately, she's been all hero in my opinion, and hope this is portrayed if and when these DC shows merge with the movies. Make Selina the perfect anti-hero, and you have my view DC. It's about time we got this show on the road. And here's the link with the names and pictures of the 2 actors from Comic Vine: ... nevermind I can't post links on a tablet, or don't know how.
  8. Well seeing how Lego unveiled the Ghostbusters set so short after it was approved by Cuusoo, I wonder just how long it would take them to design something X-Men related, like perhaps this Mansion, for next year. We have time, and reading that Cuusoo revew, the Lego design team is really starting to sound friendlier and more comfortable with their reviews. That said, a part of me actually thinks Lego wants this to happen. And anther part of me hopes they do too.
  9. The Lego movie today. Finally, it was so good but felt so rushed. It also felt like the movie started in the middle of the plot. Otherwise it was very funny and quite enjoyable.
  10. I'm cracking up, someone call a doctor. I wonder if by this time next year, we'll have a Constantine figure too. Now for DC to just announce a solo Deadshot show.. So a couple of pages back someone posted a link to jeditemplearchives that revealed the last GoTG sets, and it looks alright. It's nothing special, and I even think it can work as an add on to the Milano spaceship.
  11. It's one of those informal names that never stuck, since I've never read the series, only reviews of it. The only reason I actually want a Black Alice figure is because of her character design. It's incredible.
  12. This basically summarizes my needs. Black Canary, the Huntress, Ch'P, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Hal Jordan, Black Alice, Bane and (dear god I forgot the name of the Cat man from Secret Six) many more to list.
  13. Oh my. I've never thrown away a Lego set before, an by accident should make it even worse. Wow, I think I seriously "felt that". Hope it turns up somewhere, I've been eyeing the Escape Glider for a while now, and this purchase is gonna hurt.
  14. I hope we get information on the Millennium Falcon soon. I have no Millennium Falcons at all as of yet, and I still need to get one. If no information comes up soon, then I'll be dammed. If I skip the 2011 set, it's a gamble on whether or not we'll see a new one. And if I buy the 2011 version, and we do get a new Millennium Falcon, then I'll have no money left to buy a new one. Money is tight and since I still have 3 years of Lego to catch up on (mostly licensed and action themes), then I'm not sure I want to waste any money or risk a set for the possibility of a newer, better version getting released later on.
  15. I completely agree. I remember Elementary when the girls in my class would pick up American Girl books, each dedicated to an individual character from the Toy line. Heck, even I read the books from time to time. Nowadays, it's just a girl in a box. It's sad to say that the Toy industry is plummeting, or at least that's what sales are indicating. If your going to go down in sales, go down in class.
  16. So the Martian Manhunter promo starts today? My Justice League will be so happy to see him enter through their doorsteps, hope I get him before the month ends.
  17. While having Batman is nice, there's obviously so much more room for potential, so why not demand it? I know good and well Lego wants to stay the world best selling toy company, so I'm sure they're reading these forums to please us. Tha brings me hope that they're designing more diverse sets, I want to be able to change the roster of my Justice League, why can't Katana and Catwoman meet up with Martian Manhunter and the Bats to go on a mission in Shangai while Wonder Woman and Aquaman give themselves nasty looks and fight over graham crackers? The Avengers can do it, I think we can too. Even if DC isn't what it used to be, they still have standards to live up to, now while I'm not a blind DC loyalist, I do think they have some great things they can put out there, and as far as Lego goes, it's about time to do so. Hope I didn't really go off topic, but I can never stress how badly I want this line to diversify. It has it's head so wrapped around Batman that people are starting to question DC's diversity. Just some 30 pages ago people were questioning DC's racial diversity when they have plenty of black heroes to list. Cyborg, John Stewart, Bumblebee, Black Lightning, Static Shock, Warhawk, Vixen and much much more. This line is begging to prove itself time after time and really, I think its about time.
  18. But has Lego ever released a LED of a licensed figure that hasn't appeared in a set? All Star Wars clocks and art I've seen have all been official Lego figures, so I hope Green Lantern doesn't start a trend of Licensed figures who appear on shirts and in clocks as microfigures but official sets. If anything, this LED should be a confirmation that we will see a GL, and in that variant. I actually really like this design, it stays true to what we saw in the game and I was really itching to own my own GL that didn't look like that hideous SDCC promo (thank Lego for not putting that horrid movie design in a set) and actually looks cool. I really want a GL minifigure, but I think I'll drop the Superheroes line completely if he comes in a Batman set. The fact that Lex Luthor is the only non-Batman comic based figure we have in this line is just sad. Marvel seems to be doing it, why can't we? If you're just going to give us Batman characters, at least give us Deadshot already. I don't know about you guys, but I think the diversity in the DC wave(s) is just sad. In other news, I went to my local Toys R Us about 2 weeks ago, and they only had the Riddler Chase and Man-Bat attack there, and to think I really wanted my own Batgirl minifigure.
  19. Can we put this in General and change the thread name? I think there are a lot of themes that should come back, and just last year Agents was one of them. But no, Alien Conquest was a one hit wonder in my opinion, it was great, it had so much potential, but I think the characters should be pushed to another theme as a "continuation" of Alien Conquest, be it on Earth or not.
  20. This is beyond what I expected to see. I read "first Modular" and expected to see a Grasshopper, however, you came out a Master! This is incredible, congratulations! My only complaint is that its not on my shelf.
  21. Took me hours to find this thread, what's wrong with ya Freddy? So about 2 weeks ago, when I was busy not being on EB, I bought 2 invasion from Below sets. Part of me is so happy, they were the first 2 construction Lego sets (that's weird to say), I mean "Action Figures" since 2008. Its been a little over 5 years, and the new design structure and ball joints are great. Though I'm only testing the waters here. On another note, I still need to buy the 2012 Samurai Mech from Ninjago (for the build, not the figures. So I'm a little bummed I didn't spend my $20 there. In other news I still haven't seen the Lego movie, but 2 days before getting the sets, I treated myself to minifigures Wyldstyle and "Where are my pants guy"?. They were nice, but I'm literally bugging to see the movie. Oh, almost forgot to say, the 2 sets were: Flyer Beast vs. Breez Rocka's Stealth Machine.
  22. Oh I've known about these Pokemon for quite some time now, months actually. It's just it didn't occur to me to say anything until now. However the one thing you were 2 steps ahead of me on, was the official reveal of Diancie. Also, Ash lost to Viola, yay! Then again I'm about 2 weeks behind on Pokemon, so this is probably in the books for you.
  23. I think this could easily go in the Ninjago 2014 thread, but can you please post a pic, I'm so done with my eyes seeing everything but whats right in front of them. Thanks in advance! If what you're saying is true, I'll be paying more attention to box art in the future.
  24. I'm disgusted by every last one of you. And why is that? Because none of you have said a word over Pokemon Plus and Minus! A site called Dual Pixals has reported back in January that a new Generation of Pokemon games is to be released with names of Plus and Minus. This is good news right? Well unfortunately it's also reporting the game to be released on the Wii U. The reporter is said to be a wild card, sometimes he reports correctly and other times he's misinformed. I'll post the link if I find it anywhere, but I read on a site that this time he actually saw concept art for the new Generation of games. This I hope to be false, since he reported saying that the new Water type starter has a jar on his head. And the links go as follows: Original source: http://dualpixels.co...mes-plus-minus/ Extra reporting sites: http://n4g.com/news/...d-pokemon-minus http://www.vgleaks.c...-pokemon-minus/ http://mynintendonew...plus-and-minus/ http://www.ign.com/b...inus.453677623/ Youtube video ~ What this could mean for the Potential Pokemon Z, I don't know. All I'm hoping is that Gen.6 wraps up this or next year and we could move onto a new Game that doesn't introduce 72 Pokemon Oh, should I report on that too? I know I know, this isn't acting school, so why am I playing reporter? For whatever reason, I haven't been on in weeks so I felt like chatting in on one of my favorite Culture and Multimedia threads. Any who, here's the first link that would appear on Google if you looked up "3 new Pokemon" that reports a hacker going into Pokemon X and Y games and found 3 new unrevealed (most likely event) Pokemon deep in the game, as well as Mega evolutions for Latios and Latias. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/11/02/report-hacker-leaks-three-new-pokemon-two-new-mega-evolutions/ Had it not been for this leak, Gen. 6 would have introduced 69 new Pokemon, making it the Generation with the least amount of new Pokemon. It still is, but we have 3 new Pokemon to cheer on about! Volcanion looks like a Bakugan though, and Diance looks like Sneasels cousin. I know the development team was hard to work on Mega evolutions, but the fact that we didn't even get 100 new Pokemon this Gen. kind of sucks, though these new ones made my day (when I found out a month ago). Either way, I hope I gave you guys something to talk about, and I hope this post was worth posting.
